.

You know you're in central Ohio because you have to step around and over the horse poop in the supermarket parking lot, because the Amish were shopping before you got there!

You know you're from Orlando, FL when...

...Tourist season makes you wanna buy a hunting rifle...

...You've gotten a strange feeling your ballot isn't going where it should....

...you've voted for Jimmy Buffet....

...You give directions to your house by the theme park it's closest to...

...you know you're going north when on I-4 east, and south on I-4 west....

...you've seen the corner of "Vineland" and "Vineland"...

...You know that Rt 17-92 is every road there is...

And you know you got a job at Disney when...

...you suddenly have a ton of relatives you never met coming into town to visit.

You know that you are near the ocean when..........

You get seafood at a truck stop and it is good!

You pass on the fried chicken that seems a bit iffy to go straight to the friend shrimp.

Almost every buffet has more seafood than anything else.

You can have shrimp for every course - shrimp cocktail, tossed salad with shrimp, fried, boiled or stuffed shrimp with shrimp pasta as a side dish - I am only waiting for the shrimp sherbet and shrimp juice.

You know that you are from Nawlens when you can order fried crawfish in just about any diner.

Red Lobster is for tourist only!

Love ya,

Sally

There's a list on Facebook for this, but I really like these ;)

You know you're from Florida if:

you've worn shorts and used the A/C on Christmas.

you are on a first name basis with the Hurricane list. They aren't Hurricane Charley, Hurricane Frances...but Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne.

you dread lovebug season.

you can pronounce Okeechobee, Kissimmee, and Withlacoochee.

you can tell the difference between fire ant bites and mosquito bites.

flip-flops are everyday wear.

very very true :D

You know you're from Missouri when...

you realize it's common to use both your heat and air conditioner in the same day.

when other people ask about a dead man winning an election.

there's a church on every intersection.

a big town means more than 15,000 people.

people think Nascar should be an olympic sport.

the women burp better than the men.

you lose to Nebraska for 25 years straight. (football)

you can actually find a store where you can buy a 2 pound gummy bear.

grilling for yourself you make 2 half pound burgers, a pack of ramen noodles and green beans.

Pawn Stars is considered an educational program.

Jefferson Davis is considered the first president.

If you don't know who Garth Brooks is you get run out of town or tarred and feathered. Or both.

That's all I can think of for the moment.

Sally, a moderator can edit the post adding "Post 3" if you would like. Let me know and I'll be glad to take care of it. That way your numbering system is in tact.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I thought Hey, I can't be experiencing Gender destroyer because it doesn't fit the narrative, but Hey I can. I am experiencing mild discomfort in relation to my gender. Because and that can be a form of mild form of it this forum because their elements of my gender that are out of alignment with my sign gender at birth. There are elements of my gender I have been holding back on some I did not even know for fear it did not fit was told was not very manly or in some other way not correct for someone who is an amab. I tried embracing and expressing some of these parts of me even for just a little bit every once in a while and it feels like a relief to me like a weight has been lifted.

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums @violet r   I think we all were scared with our first post here on TPF. I hope you come to find this site as welcoming as an old friend. Not knowing the type of retail you're in, it is hard to know how they will react to your coming out. I would hope that if it's part of a larger corporation they may have corporate policies supporting/protecting you once you decide to come out publicly. No one here will rush you, or try to slow you down, once you've decided to come out. Some of us are secret sisters, and others of us are as flamboyant as they come. The cool this is you get to choose. You be you.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Welcome aboard, Violet. What a pretty name!   You are among friends here. We are all on a journey, with things in common despite our individual uniqueness. I hope that makes sense!

Oh Yes!   This one is so obvious to anyone who has had a cat and observed any Big Cat.

Welcome Violet.  It's been awhile since i found this space with so many who understand the struggle to simply be ourselves in a society that often disapproves,  It isn't an easy path but being together we can share all the bumps and the joys. You are not alone.   Hugs,   Charlize

I'm sorry it didn't work out for the new job. Nothing to keep you from being on the search. I had a coworker who used to walk out of the locker room saying; "I was looking for a job with I found this one and I'll keep searching for the next one. Never let them think you're comfortable and settled."   The coffee has just finished brewing, and we have a HVAC technician coming in about 30 minutes to do an annual system check.   It's time to get out of my Pj's.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

@Sally Stone, I have enjoyed reading this thread immensely. There certainly are some things in it that I can relate to, particularly when you wrote that "I wasn’t a man trapped in a woman’s body." This simple statement confirmed two things for me; I am not an imposter here, and I could end up much further along the path than what I imagine now.   I very much look forward to your future posts here.   I hope that by posing this question I'm not committing you to spoil future posts, but can I ask, why you have settled on Bigender as a label? I keep changing my label and have no idea what it might be tomorrow or next week or next month!
