A Close Call

Wow, a close call tonight.

My stepdaughter came over tonight to visit her little brother (half brother), and I had her join us for dinner. After we ate I was getting ready to step out for a minute and she asked me what was up with my eye...

The night before I was wearing eyeliner and mascara, practicing putting it on and kind of enjoying the feeling I got from being made up. Well, I guess I didn't wash it off well enough cause she nailed it. She said it looked like eyeliner! I played it off and she dropped it after a little bit. Ugh.

I'll bet these are the moments that can initiate a purge. I won't do that but I'm going to be more careful from now on, that's for sure.

Yep, luckily my most recent one happened the day after halloween, so the excuse was easy.

Happened at least once like that, maybe twice. Learned my lesson, never apply makeup unless you will have excessive amounts of time to get it off. And never trust the first removal, or second one, or.... Nail polish is the worst. To do it right means it gets into the littlest crevices and brightens considerably when most the rest is off.

Mine was with eyeliner, too....

Not removed quite as well as it should of been....

Those are the things that freak us out at the time, but make for good stories in the future!

Good grief, I just noticed another silly thing I did.

I had purchased a nail and eye care kit the other day. I didn't want to toss the box because it had instructions on how to use the tools. Well I left it laying on a computer under a table (in plain view) 5 feet away from where we were having dinner!

I am SO stupid!

Tonight, I'm just practicing with lipstick. I'm playing it safe.

Tomorrow is shopping day! I have a thrift store trip planned for tomorrow. They have a whole rack of dresses, skirts and tops for $1 each! I'm bringing $20 and going to walk out with a closet full of stuff!

At least something good is hapening...
