Searching For The Right Hair Removal Procces

I finaly made myself go look for laser hair removal today and whent to two places to inquire about cost and equipment used. One place was $80.00 for two visits using a Light Pulse technique. I have heard that that is less favorable then a real laser. So, I walked down the street and found a Dermitologist clinic that does real laser hair removal. They called it an IODO laser and had 10 sessions for $200.00 way cheaper than the states I know so I am going toresearch it but will probably go with them just because I can afford it. they also said I could come three times a month while the other was limited to just once a month. Any experienc with either one of these techniques or warnings?

I think it was DIODE laser after researching it

I go to American Laser Centers, and they use a "laser" pulse coupled with high frequency radio waves, which they claim is more effective, gets the gray and blonde hairs, and is less painful. I am not certain how much of that is true or an exaggeration. However, after 6 treatments I'm very satisfied. Mine was about $1,600 for about a year of treatments.

I went three times for laser hair removal, since my skin tone is darker, tan easily and my hair is dark, they use this machine:

This is my experience so far:

This week is the second week after my last therapy. I am very glad with the results and nearly 80% of my upper lip hairs are gone, lower chin hairs 70% gone and neck are about 80% gone.....they just fell off the last couple days. I think the laser of this machine seems quite strong. Prior treatment, they apply ice on the skin for about 15 minutes; before and during treatment they have to apply a cooling gel. Still I could feel like the hairs were hitted hard by lots of rubber bands and..... the smell of burning hairs is really gross. However, ice was applied right after treatment for another 10 minutes then a topical lotion was applied before I go. A little swelling appears right after the treatment but it subsides almost completely the next morning. I have high pain tolerance and they keep asking me if its ok to avoid burn my skin. If people cannot take too much pain, they can use an anaglesic gel to de-sensitize the skin but is not advisable. Hope this can help you Emily

I am familiar with lasers and the DIODE laser would have worked even better on your darker skin. the wavelength difference allows it to penetrate deeper than YAG laser. I would be complaining at all though if I received 1/2 your results, not that you are. That means with my fair skin and better technology I should be hairfree fairly quickly. Hurray!
