Electrolosis In Vancouver, Bc

Recommended Posts

I am hoping that there are a few Vancouverites here who are or have done electrolosis and may have any places they prefer. I tried looking places up on google and found quite a few actually, but not much in the way of reviews good or bad.

The Gentle Touch Hair Removal Salon was the only one that had any write up i could find. It was positive and talked about the pro staff, certified, clean warm and friendly atmosphere. Cost off their site is about 66/hr.

Other places i looked at post their own customer reviews, but i feel they are purposefully chosen to reflect a good image and great service in promotion of their spas/clinics and may not be a complete reflection of the truth.

Also, i know that total hours to do a face differs with people, but i would love some examples of total time taken to finish a face, or get close to finished. That way i could try grasp a median time frame in hours and start a spending plan of my own.

Any other tips or advice is also appreciated, thanks! :)

I'm betting Vancouver has a trans woman support group. You might try to see who they go to for electrolysis. It's very hard to estimate the number of hours it takes to complete facial hair removal. Everyone is different and has a different thickness in their facial hair. My electrologist does about 400 hairs/hour and guess it will take between 200-300 hours to complete the process. That's because I have so much facial hair I could be mistaken for a gorilla if I didn't shave.

Megan,

I had a year of laser (10 sessions) and so far 16 months electrolysis to get the white/grey hairs (around 100 hours), i can definitely can see the light at the end of the tunnel, the cost to remove facial and neck hair can be as much as SRS, i have spent over 10k between laser and electrolysis sessions so far, YMMV.

Most electrolysis and laser techs do not care if you are trans or not, you are just another face to work on and money in their pocket, my tech says lots of men get laser or electrolysis to remove facial hair because they hate shaving, if there is a local trans group in your area the members usually know the most friendly, accepting, and cheapest places to go to.

Speaking from experience, I would do laser first to get rid of most of the hair. Then you can do electrolysis to get rid of the light hairs.

If you still want electrolysis then you could ask if they could do a test spot to see if your face is sensitive and how red it will be afterwards.

Good Luck

.

Well, I can't do Laser...

My facial hair is white/gray...

So, it's electrolysis all the way...

I've had about 65 hours so far and my electrologist says that she's past 1/3 done...

Jennifer, i always seem to over look the most obvious things. Trans support groups, great idea. Sarah, i was thinking along the laser idea as a first step too. i know that i will have to do electrologist as well. Way too much grey going on these days. Thanks for the tips :)

Amazingly I have found many cis women are absolutely wrong in their assumptions about bra fittings. I knew an elderly lady that said, "I have been a C cup since school, I just buy a bigger band size as my breasts grow." This is completely WRONG as the band should always fit snug with they gore firmly against the chest.    One of CNA's came into Torrid and I helped her pick out a new bra. She didn't even understand band size was inches and cups/band combo were based off Victorian shirt sizes.  She said, "how do you know so much?"   We found her proper fitting band size, then found a cup she fit.    How can people that take the vast majority of bra users know so little about them? Seems most cis women just use "try it on" only.

As has been said many times, this is not a black and white issue. Sure.  I get it that a MtF person that has gone through full male puberty and "transitioned" 6 months ago probably has an advantage in some sports.  But these bans affect elementary school kids too. I mean, banning trans women from Darts?  Chess?

Good morning    Now @Abigail Genevieve and @Mmindy what makes you so certain I didn’t mean it to say bee itch certificate?  lol. Thanks Mindy. I was asleep when you saw this and fixed it, and yes Abigail, as a moderator I could have fixed it myself, or weren’t you pointing out the irony of that?   I use Alexis as my alarm to get up.  And I set the ringer to be two guys telling me to get up.  I was so sound asleep when they started telling me to get up that it scared me and my first thought were I had over slept.  Since I have a difficult time getting to sleep as early as I have to in order to get enough sleep I at least cut back my normal awake time to get ready.  But now I have to do my hair and get going.   enjoyed my coffee and a little time catching up   see you all later, for its hi ho hi ho it’s off to work I go.   Willow

Republicans have long committed grave errors by emphasizing their social agenda and moral issues instead of just focusing on the economy, lowering taxes, keeping the public safe, building a strong national defense, promoting business, touting reasonable immigration policies, etc.   The country would thrive economically under Trump's tax and business policies. That's a fact. Another four years of Biden will run this country into the ground financially (including all of our 401Ks and IRAs). But the GOP continues to play right into the Dems' hands by leading with their moral crusades instead of staying the course and trusting their fiscal policies to win the day...

Thanks.  I will look those up in the document, hopefully tomorrow.   I always look at the source on stuff like this, not what someone, particularly those adversarial, have to say.
