I was to have my first full facial laser treatment this week but I chickened out. I didn't have much of a plan eg how treatments required, laser spaced out over how many months. , how long face to look sunburned after treatment. Most important if only someone could guarantee the hair not come. back.

I know at least with electrolysis that the FDA says the hair removal is permanent.

If you have or had electrolysis how many hours a week did you do? Was it the blend method or the therman format? Which format did you like the best.

Do people doing the electro work, the electrolysis have a certain area that they want to work on the face?

I dont think I could afford anymore than 1 week per month til some bills are paid.

I have heard/read that electroysis on the upper and lower lips are the worst area for pain.

Which area do you want worked in and what order.

An scars with electrolysis or laser and did they go away?

I need to start some time on this.

I have been doing laser for over a year and no scars for me. The sunburned look goes away in less then a day.

This is true and that is why some choose this over laser. Laser however is faster at removing the dark hairs.

I don't know what format they use but yes I have had electro too. I will tell you that I have red marks and sometimes scabs from electro. They take a week or two to go away. No scars from what can tell though.

That all depends on you and where you tell them to work. You are paying and you get to request where to work.

I dont think I could afford anymore than 1 week per month til some bills are paid.

That is ok but electro like I said take longer then laser so there will be a lot of hours to make a difference depending on how much facial hair you have.

I have heard/read that electroysis on the upper and lower lips are the worst area for pain.

This part is very true. It hurts on the uppper lip the worst especially right under the nose.

Which area do you want worked in and what order.

For me it is the goatee area. That is the part people look at the most and can see the shadow.

Like I said in other parts, I haven't had any scars so far with either treatment.

I need to start some time on this.

Good Luck

When I went in to have some test areas on my face i think I was told it would look like a sunburn and go away in a day. My face was kind of sunburn look for days and about a week to completely disappear. I was told before my test treatment that my face looked a little sensitive and if it was always like that. I explained that I had used my electric razor vigorously just before coming over because I heard laser worked better with a shaved face before the laser. She had told me if my face was looking like that, that maybe I should shave the day before treatment.

I usually shave the day before myself. I don't know if that help or not. Maybe you could do another test but shave the day before. It wouldn't hurt especially since laser gets faster results.

I always shave the day of my laser appointments. I'll back up what Sarah is saying and say that if you have the right skin/hair color combo, then laser is super effective. Even Dr. Bowers recommends it for her patients in lieu of electro if they are good candidates (I am actually going to talk to my laser tech next week about beginning "those" treatments down below as my face is all but clear (in only 10 treatments!). I still have to get a little electro to clear the white hairs, but there are not so many of those, so I am really happy I went with the laser.

I was wondering why I still looked like I had a light sunburn almost a week later though. I thought that was odd because even the person who did my face it would be okay after a day. My GT thought that was normal for a week.

Has anyone else overdone it before with an electric razor, then had, semi inflamed/ irritated skin that had something similar to what happened to me?

Also. When I was a youngster I had blonde hair. My facial hair comes out dark now in the winter and she thought that it might help me reduce the hair maybe by 25 percent. But that I could never tell. The results are are different for everyone.

Morning, y'all. Evening here; we had the regulation three mugs full today. Now it's time to drink something else.     No big plans here either, eldest daughter and granddaughter will be arriving on Saturday, and we will have our granddaughter to ourselves for a week after that. We still have plans though. Tuesday we'll go to the swim center, Wednesday we'll take a road trip to visit my mom, Thursday we'll get some mulch delivered to top up the gardens.   I still make other small plans on a daily basis though. The things I do plan nowadays, which is a bit new for me, is that after pinching a nerve and ending up in a bit of pain and getting some treatment from the physio, I am more motivated than ever to exercise more regularly. Tuesday for example, I went for a short (15 minute) early morning walk, went to the pool for some hydrotherapy, and mowed the lawns. Yesterday I did my exercise reps and spent some time on the exercise bike. Today, I went for a 45-minute walk, tomorrow I will do my reps again and go for a long bike ride. As long as I do at least one thing every day, right? The pleasing thing is that I'm losing weight! I blew out to above 95kg early in the year and I'm just under 91kg now. Yay me!

Boredom is an emotional state that comes when a person has nothing to do, and is not interested in anything. To stop boredom, most people do something to occupy or amuse themselves. The first known use of the word boredom is in the novel Bleak House by Charles Dickens, written in 1852, but the saying to be a bore had been used to mean "to be tiresome or dull" since 1768. When referring to the mind, boredom is a bad state in which the person feels a deep lack of interest in what is going on around them, and where it is hard to focus.

So, yesterday's epiphany was that girl jeans fit me much nicer than boy jeans. Well, duh! So this girl is switching over to wearing girl jeans pretty much full time. I'll keep my others for work jeans. We went out to dinner last evening and I was in androgynous mode...wearing a pair of Bandolino Amy straight leg denim pants. Score!

Good morning, everyone!! The coffee upload has started for me but just in the early stages so I'm barely coherent at this point.   You've been missed @Willow - I hope all is going well with your wife and at work.   @awkward-yet-sweet We love to make beans with rice - one of our favorite meals.   No big plans for me today. Small projects around our place and probably some reading. We're going to have some rain off and on, and the temps are still too low for a lot of outdoor work.   Be safe and enjoy this beautiful day we've been given!!
