Kia Ora,[to all the oldies who know me and those who don't]

 I've been away for a while,[but have checked in every now and again just to see how things were going]Anyway I had forgot my password so applied for a new one, however for some strange reason even though I was logged in, I seemed to be blocked from posting under my old name which was 'Jendar'=[the weird Kiwi lady]...It's possible when I left I deleted a lot of info from my profile which could have accounted for the strange goings on when I tried to post.Anyway so from 'Jendar' I've morphed to[open a new account under] 'Zenda'but I assure you I'm still the same ol weird Kiwi lady  ....

Umm  a brief re-intro = I was born 'transsexual' but now I'm a fully fledged 'woman' with no 'trans' prefix[ I have been since 2005 when I have 'affirmation' surgery] prior to that I had lived fully time as a 'trans'-woman for around 5 years-started HRT in 1997/8 went full time around 18months later, that is, I just blended into main stream society as a 'female'=5ft 4inches-122 pound [56kgs-I've 'reduce' my weight from 60kgs-through jogging B) ].Fortunately I was quite androgynous looking 'body and facial features' prior to starting HRT ...

I live in paradise B) -well a tiny laid back island in the South Pacific just off the coast of Auckland, Aotearoa's capital city-It's a beautiful island with beautiful beaches, bush walks, and beautiful laid back people B) .

If on the odd occasion I sign off with Metta 'Jendar' you will know why...[Mettais Pali [a language spoken at the time of the Buddha] for 'Loving Kindness'... BTW Kia Ora's a greeting in Maori[the language of the indigenous people of Aotearoa=NZ]

End of brief re-intro ;) ...

Metta Zenda :D

PS no doubt I'll have to find my way around the forum again..And Sally those cookies were stale the chocolate cake was off and the coffee was cold so get your act together or no more tips from me ;)

Kia Ora Brenda,

 I hope you and your family are fairing well and enjoyed Xmas and new year, as for me, my life flows with the changes[nothing is permanent]so I just go with the flow=随波逐流=Sui-bo-zhu-liu B) which reminds me, for some reason I can't access my 'new' Zenda profile, also the email address I gave is not correct...So once I can access my profile I'll hopefully sort things...

It's so lovely to hear from you again after so long. It sounds like things are going well for you (how badly can they go in Paradise?? :) ). One more post and you'll have access to you profile again and can set things up the way you want. The Admins will be along in a few hours to get the accounts right.

Kia Ora Jendar

When you come back on you will find a fresh plate of cookies, some hot coffee and cocoa if you would prefer, the chocolate cake has to be earned as always so post something to really make me think. :D

It is so good to hear from you again, I have really missed our discussions - I have the same old PM address even though I have moved to New Orleans to live with Lizzy and Dee Jay.

Life is constantly changing and so it seems are we, so let's get reacquainted.

Love ya,

Sally

Hello Jendar,

Welcome back. It's good to see you again. I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of merging your old account with this new one. It's much easier to keep all your info in one place and it complies with our rule of one account for each member. :)

MaryEllen

Do you prefer to be known as Jendar or Zenda??

Kia Ora MaryEllen,

Nice to catch up with you again :)

As for the name 'e'ither-e'i'ther...Because I'm signing in as Zenda, it's easier for me to remember, but please feel free to call me either name... :)

Kia Ora Lizzy,

 Nice catching up with you again B)...

I've just read your post re: :( at not feeling complete ...Life, Lizzy is what we choose to make of it- Our past as shaped our present and our present will shape our future...

:D Happiness :D is nothing more than a :( 'state of mind' :) ...Learn how to find happiness in the 'present moment' and it will automatically flow into the future with you!

To do this all you need to do is to accept what 'is' -and what 'is' is in a constant state of flux...In other words "Nothing is permanent!" Not even ones emotions...

:D Happy :D Mindfulness=contentment with what 'is'

Metta Zenda :)

PS  by the time your mind has tried to decipherer  the above your depressed state will be well and truly gone :) ...

It certainly could be classed as dark humor.  Unfortunately the sentiments alone must hurt young trans folks.  Decency and reality doesn't seem to be in the GOP's vocabulary.   Hugs,   Charlize

Good morning all,    It’s a frosty morning here the lawn looks silvery, and the uncovered spring flowers have icy edges on their leaves. The only flower bed I covered was my tulips. As nice as it is here during the day, our clear wind free nights allow the temperatures to drop into the mid twenties. Here in our growing zone it’s recommended that you not plant delicate plants until Mother’s Day. Central Indiana can have snow as late as the third week of May. The birds are active at the feeders, I’ve had my cup of yoghurt and morning meds. So I’ll sit here, drink coffee and watch the as the sunrise chases the frost from the yard.    @awkward-yet-sweet I could eat black eyed peas as a side for every meal. Boil them plain or with fatback. Served as a leftover, just add in a little Rotel Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies.  Make the best of your day,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Morning, y'all. Evening here; we had the regulation three mugs full today. Now it's time to drink something else.     No big plans here either, eldest daughter and granddaughter will be arriving on Saturday, and we will have our granddaughter to ourselves for a week after that. We still have plans though. Tuesday we'll go to the swim center, Wednesday we'll take a road trip to visit my mom, Thursday we'll get some mulch delivered to top up the gardens.   I still make other small plans on a daily basis though. The things I do plan nowadays, which is a bit new for me, is that after pinching a nerve and ending up in a bit of pain and getting some treatment from the physio, I am more motivated than ever to exercise more regularly. Tuesday for example, I went for a short (15 minute) early morning walk, went to the pool for some hydrotherapy, and mowed the lawns. Yesterday I did my exercise reps and spent some time on the exercise bike. Today, I went for a 45-minute walk, tomorrow I will do my reps again and go for a long bike ride. As long as I do at least one thing every day, right? The pleasing thing is that I'm losing weight! I blew out to above 95kg early in the year and I'm just under 91kg now. Yay me!

What one piece of advice would you give to beginning transitioners or considering transition?

Positive side of the mixed bag.
    • Heather Shay
Boredom is an emotional state that comes when a person has nothing to do, and is not interested in anything. To stop boredom, most people do something to occupy or amuse themselves. The first known use of the word boredom is in the novel Bleak House by Charles Dickens, written in 1852, but the saying to be a bore had been used to mean "to be tiresome or dull" since 1768. When referring to the mind, boredom is a bad state in which the person feels a deep lack of interest in what is going on around them, and where it is hard to focus.
