Let's see... ten things about me:

1. I am studying to be a Gnostic priest.

2. I have this tiny 8 channel soundboard that I got for my birthday when I was ten years old, and I sleep with it every night like a teddy bear.

3. I'm an avid online roleplayer.

4. I live in a boarding house with eight other tenants in the middle of downtown Columbus.

5. If I'm not in my clerical uniform, I'm wearing shorts and a button-down shirt with the sleeves cut off.

6. I carry approximately 30 pounds of sound equipment on my person at all times.

7. I LOVE Disney music. I listen to the Brave Little Toaster soundtrack while riding my bike.

8. I love to sew, and make all the vestments for my church.

9. One of my favorite foods is thin-crust pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut.

10. My cell phone ringtone is "Toxic Love" from the 90's cartoon, FernGully.

Cool idea - it's great to sort of get to know all of you better. Weirdly, it's the random facts that make people seem more real to me.

1. Grey is my favorite colour, or favorite shade if you want to get picky.

2. I've had a great number of potted plants over the years, and killed all of them except for the aloes.

3. I have a giant collection of knives.

4. Though I feel somewhat sheepish admitting it, I knit, crochet, embroider, and sew.

5. Terry Pratchett is, in my opinion, a genius.

6. I'm a black belt in karate.

7. I write fanfiction and original fiction, but have not written anything even resembling a sex scene. This may make me unique among fanfiction writers.

8. My family has two dogs, three fish, and four cats. I love all of them, but will not hold one of the cats because she drools.

9. I play at least nine different musical instruments - there may be more, but if so I've forgotten.

10. I've invented my own language, and sometimes talk to myself in it, which infuriates those around me.

That's all...

Guest Kai Reddtail

@Avery F

You've managed to develop your invented language to the point where you can talk to yourself in it?

I've started trying to create my own language a few times in my life, but I've never been able to stick with it enough and make it extensive enough for it to have any kind of language structure.

Guest Avery F

Kai Reddtail,

Yeah, it took me a bunch of tries to get used to the mechanics of languages enough to make a decent one. I made it a couple of years ago, and if I had to re-do it there are some things I'd do differently... change the grammar to make it less like English and more like maybe Arabic, or something. Don't know how you tried doing it, but I just made a dictionary of all the English words I could think of right off, and made equivalents for them in the language. As I remembered other words, I just added them in. I'm not that fluent, but I could carry on a relatively in-depth conversation - of course, that talent is completely useless, because no one else speaks the language. It's a fun hobby, though, if a relatively pointless one :)

Ten things? Okay.

Is it just me or is filling out these lists harder that it should be?

1. My favorite color is white, but if you looked at my wardrobe you'd never guess it.

2. I'm a bibliophile and a rather animated reader.

3. A closet lover of musical theatre.

4. I am a massive geek. Video games, D&D, LARPing, fanboying out over movies/tv shows, tech blogs, you name it.

5. Rats and fish are my favorite pets, despite how much I like dogs.

6. I chose to live in the heart of a big city because I have problems with being around people and crowds.

7. My world views tend to be oxymorons

8. I've actually handled the insides of a dead human (for science!).

9. Kids seriously annoy me (which is a problem when you come from a large family that loves to breed).

10. I see nothing wrong with burning Rammstein, Orange Range, Yo Yo Ma, and Flogging Molly on the same CD.

Guest some ftm guy

hey it's Tom Baker! i think...yay 4th doctor :D

anyway

1. i like Doctor who even though i have never been able to see a full episode, just going on internet review videos of it. we can't get BBC here.

2. i have a chihuahua. he's 8, name is Paxton, spoiled and i plan to get many more in my lifetime, i can't help it, there's just something about those lil baby dogs i can't resist. too bad you can't really take your dogs everywhere with you. or i would.

3. for some reason i want a pit bull some day, just because of their bad rep and more people should be adopting them to bring them back as the best family pets like they were back in "The Little Rascals" days (1920's) so i guess that's a reason but who knows how well I'll be able to handle one because I'm kind of a little guy.

4. i like chocolate...is that weird? for a guy?

5. i don't really like kids because their tantrums/screams/crying hurt my ears and irritate me greatly and I'm just plain not comfortable around them, they look at me funny and it's one of those things where you just know that's not where you belong.

6. I'm texting a guy right now ;)

7. i may be addicted to diet pepsi, diet coke, mountain dew, sprite.

8. i want to go all over the place and see the world. preferably not by myself.

9. as soon as i get top surgery (well, i guess close to a year after) i want to get tattoos on my upper arms, upper chest and upper back.

10. i wish i were selling my art in galleries and in a rock band on base or electric guitar.

I'm ruddy awful at these things, but I wanted to try. This is a nice idea.

1. I don’t really consider myself a film person, but I really enjoy looking at how a film is put together as I’m watching it.

2. I’m good with my hands – it’s usually fairly easy for me to fix things, and I’m decent at any sort of carpentry for someone with no formal training. I’m rubbish at using three-hole punchers, though.

3. I don’t look particularly athletic, but I’m usually a fair hand at any sport that involves a ball.

4. I have never eaten pizza because I’m allergic to cheese.

5. I can write fairly well with either hand.

6. I don’t think I’ve gone a day in a long time without playing music.

7. When I was a child, I got in trouble for biting my nails, so I started chewing on my knuckles. I still do that, sometimes.

8. I have always had a lot of difficulty saying what my favourite of anything is.

9. My fastest 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube solve time without getting lucky was 37 seconds, but I was langered altogether, and have yet to repeat it while sober.

10. I get bored quickly playing video games. I think this is because I grew up without a telly.

Heh, cool idea :)

[01] I love video games, and am currently addicted (in a non-harmful way) to Poke'mon and an MMO called Fiesta Online

[02] I randomly decided to give up pop...right before I decided to make a giant pop can sculpture for art class >-<;;

[03] I'm not in college yet, but I'm going for Criminal Psychology (or something similar)

[04] I love cats and snakes, but hate dogs and fish

[05] One of my favorite movies is the Indiana Jones series/saga/whatever it's called

[06] I like 80's glam metal/hair metal

[07] I can play trumpet and baritone, and want to learn to play other instruments

[08] I have tourettes syndrome, and I'm far more self-conscious about people knowing that than anything else in my life

[09] I own a Nintendo64 and still play it

[10] I was nearly expelled from Pre-School when I was 4. My mom always put me in dresses, and there was a boy who always, every. Day. tried to either look up my dress or kiss me. So, my dad told me to hit him. I did. Every time he did something, I'd either punch him in the face or kick him in the crotch...or both. ^-^;;

That...was a lot harder than expected o-0

Yay, pointless lists! No, not really.

Geez, how long is it since I was here last time? Several months, I believe. But I've been caught in studying, I graduated half a week ago! Now I'll slowly ease into popping in here every day, starting now.

Ten things about me? I think I can write that. ;)

(1) Ever since I got invited to a vampire-LARP last summer, I've been obsessing over vampires in general and our LARP-universe especially. It's gone so far that me and my girlfriend (one of the arrangers) have developed an alternative universe-setting for the characters. I'm such a fanboy, and she's not much better. XD

(2) I'm slightly into BDSM, and I've tried it a bit. Nothing extreme, just... being tied up... *ahem*

(3) I love going barefoot, sometimes even in winter (never very far then though). I especially despise socks. They stick to your skin and just augh! Shoes are a bit better (I love platoe-boots!), but sandals are preferred during summer.

(4) I'm barefoot at the moment, despite having such a sore throat I can't really eat anything. What can I say, my feet like their freedom.

(5) I want to learn parkour (free-running), but seeing as I tend to bump into walls when I'm walking, it might be a bad idea. I dunno. It'd just feel so awesome to be able to run around and not really having any obstacles. Talk about freedom!

(6) I have a very diverse taste of music. There tends to be something I can listen to in every genre, despite my hatred for the rest of the songs in said genre. That way my siblings can play almost anything to me and I'll still find something about it that I like.

(7) I love drawing and have recently started designing dresses. Not to wear myself (though I could consider cross-dressing when I've started passing as a guy regularly), but for different characters of mine. They're mostly of the gothic variety, but I've tried other things as well.

(8) Related to the previous point, I sew. A lot. I've hand-sown a pair of pants for the LARP, mended several articles of clothing, butchered others completely to create new ones from the fabric, and I plan to hand-sew another pair of pants before the summer is over. Hopefully I'll have time to make a new shirt as well.

(9) I sing and dance a lot. Especially when noone's watching. And I can accompany myself on the piano well enough, and I've even written a few lyrics! Only one of them has music to it yet, at least by me.

(10) Due to watching very few movies, most of the ones I do watch being from Britain and my great love for Eddie Izzard and Mock the Week, I can now speak in a relatively convincing British accent. It still takes some focusing on my part, but it flows quite well. Most likely not well enough to fool a native speaker, but it's fun anyway. :)

1. I want to live in Inuvik, NWT (in the arctic circle).

2. As suggested by the previous statement, I hate the heat (anything about about 4 degrees is too warm for me).

3. No matter how many times I listen to Pink Floyd (pretty much any album) I am left in awe.

4. I want to be a psychologist of some sort.

5. I love iced tea, lemonade, and black coffee.

6. I hate math and physics, but I love english, history, and music.

7. I have a guinea pig named Hazelnut, and two cats named Sammy and Tiger. Sammy is deaf.

8. I have a music acceptance policy. I believe that if a piece of music, whether I like it or not, can resonate with even one person in the way my music resonates with me (whether it's focusing me, cheering me up, or literally saving my life), that makes it worth all the respect in the world.

9. I love going on canoe trips.

10. I don't know how I would go on if there wasn't music in the world.

The experience was the same for me @April Marie. I slept much deeper and I woke up each morning feeling so much more restful sleeping with forms solidly in place. For me, wearing breast forms at night started when before I was a teenager. I had no access up to modern breast forms and certainly no way to buy mastectomy bras back then. I wore a basic bra my mom had put in a donation box and two pairs of soft cotton socks. I have some crazy memories of things I did in my youth to combat my GD but regardless, these makeshift concoctions helped me work through it all.   All My Best, Susan R🌷

Colorado isn't exactly a Republican place, and won't become one anytime soon.  I think those folks might be better off not spending their time playing Don Quixote.    We certainly have our share of California "refugees" moving into where I live, so I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing Coloradans too.  I suspect the trend over the next few years will see the blue areas getting more blue and the red areas getting more red as anybody who can relocate tries to find a place where they fit better.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
Well, at least it'll be a place some folks could choose.  Options are a good thing.

My family would have gobbled that jar up in a minute or two.  When we do have pickled herring, its usually for Christmas.  I didn't grow up with that particular dish, but I grew up in a Greek family so I like just about any kind of fish if I can get it.  However, ocean fish and freshwater fish taste so different.  We usually have more catfish and tilapia to eat than anything else.    What I can't quite get used to is the tons of cabbage my GF insists on eating.  When you live with a Russian, there is always cabbage soup.  Always.  When I first moved in with her, breakfast was "shchi" for soup and either bread or "kasha" which is a bowl of boiled buckwheat with butter and salt.  Those dishes can be made in any number of ways, some are better than others.  In the winter, it can even be salty and sour like kraut.  Not exactly sauerkraut, but packed in tubs with vinegar and salt so it keeps partially for the winter.  But I drew the line when the cabbage soup included pieces of fried snake one day.  😆

Good evening to you as well @Mmindy   That is awesome that you have support from her side. My dad has communicated with me once and that was because he was forced to. His new wife wanted to spend time with my kids. He hated me so much he was in the process of taking my rights away as a parent to my two boys. He was talking to a lawyer and I called him out on it. I don't love him at all. I'll respect him because I wouldn't be here without him but I wished I had another father. My uncles don't talk to me and unfriended me on Facebook. Almost all cousins except for two are still Facebook friends but they don't give me any support. My mom said she won't support me with that but she has said that she loves me. I have nieces and nephews that are still Facebook friends but they have yet to talk to me. I have one sister that supports me out of three. The other's disrespect me by deadnaming me. They have never called me their sister. I think for them they think it's still a phase. They don't ask questions about me being trans. I have to bring it up and on the look of their faces they don't look comfortable about it.

Good evening @Ashley0616,   I just got offline with HP tech support trying to get my printer tool box icon locked to my tool bar. This is one of the most important features of my printer that I like because it keeps track of ink, paper, and scanned documents. I'm diffidently not a computer geek.   I'll catch up with the other bookmarks next week. We leave to go home for the Easter Holiday with our families. Saturday with her side, and Sunday with my side. What's odd about that is I'm out to more of her side and they're reluctantly supportive. My side on the other hand are less supportive, and my sister just under me in age will not acknowledge my being there. She will be constantly moving to keep from dealing with me. I'm dead to her.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

My view is we are "dependent" on government, because as a society, we are too lazy to stay actively involved. So, we let politicians do our bidding for us.  I think we'd be in a better place government wise if we policed the actions of our politicians.  We elected them; they work for us.  Sadly, we are allowing them to run amok.  We are where we are because we have chosen to let politicians make all decisions without us.  Remember "by the people, for the people?" That was the intent of our democracy.  Today, however, it is "by the politicians, for the politicians," the people be damned.
    • Mmindy
"Play Ball! Batter Up!" is the closing line of the National Anthem as far as I'm concerned. It's the call of the Home Plate Umpire and signals the start of the game. I grew up in the TV and Radio broadcast of the St. Louis Cardinals. Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Tim McCarver, and Mike Shannon, were the voices on my transistor radio. KMOX 1120 AM pushing 50,000 watts of Class A clear-channel non-directional signal. It could be picked up all across MO, IL, IN to the East. KS, OK, CO to the West. IA, MN to the North, and KY, TN, AR to the South. There has always been a rivalry against the Chicago Cubs, in the National League. As for the American League, I have to pull for the Kansas City Royals. I've also been a Little League Umpire, and fan of everything the Little League stands for. Going to Williamsport, PA and seeing the Little League World Series is in my top 10 things to do on my bucket list.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good evening everyone,   I don't think my mother ever cooked a meal that I didn't like. We also had a kitchen where mom fixed the food, dad filled your plate, and you eat it. It wasn't until our baby brother was born that we could have Pop-Tarts for snacks. Before that all snacks had to meet mom's approval, and in her opinion wouldn't prevent you from eating supper.   Well my day started off on a good note, but has become frustrating because my IT person didn't transfer my saved videos I use for teaching. Then I found out that they didn't save any of my book marks for websites I use frequently.   Best wishes, stay motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

The number is relative to method of deliver, the time of the dose, and when the blood is drawn. However, I do want to keep away from DVT and other potential issues. I assume I may be getting backed down from my current dose, but my doc told me to stick with the higher dose, so? I also wonder if this has anything to do the my breast growth and mental changes that have been happening over the past few years, like I have some estrogen sensitivity so a little goes a long way or something? I don't have enough data to postulate, but who knows!   With weekly, subcutaneous, shots you expect to see big swings of serum level estradiol from shot to peak to trough. My doctor is interested in mid-week testing (for E and T levels only), which would be post-peak blood serum levels but they will be higher than trough. Most, if not all, resources I've seen online is to measure at trough (which I might do just to do it next time) along with a SHBG, LH, and other metrics.   This is from transfemscience.org for Estradiol valerate in oil, which is very spiky compared to some other estradiol combinations. It's also for intramuscular, which will have a slower uptake and is usually dosed in higher volume due to the slower absorption rate from muscles. They don't have subcutaneous numbers, which I would expect to see similar spikes but higher levels at similar doses due to the relatively higher absorption rate direct from fat.   Are you doing pills, shots, or patches? And when you do get your levels checked are you getting that done when your levels are lowest or some other time?
