I used to LOVE Lifehouse

"Hanging by a Moment" was so great back in 2001. The first 2 albums were great soft-rock albums. I really liked the 2nd one Stanley Climbfall, that was my favourite, great track after great track, and it rocked more then the debut. The 3rd one was OK, but havent paid too much attention since.

Eric Clapton is great too. Great guitar player and songwriter.

My mum is actually seeing Simply Red live really soon I think. "Fairground" is my favourite song of theirs, really brings a lot of nostalgia.

My tastes are very varied, but my favourite genre would have to be electronic, or just anything that's dancey.

Some of my favourite bands/artists are Owl City, Train, Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5, Nickelback, The Killers, Breathe Electric, The Secret Handshake, Elton John, Daughtry, Lifehouse, Disturbed, and Sonta Arctica, but that is by no means all I like. Just I'd be here all day if I listed all I like. :P

Im a little lost on current popular music as well. I remember as a kid in the 90's I loved chart music, but the 2000's slowly went downhill for me.

agreed. very much so.

Well I like alittle bit of everything. It just depends on my mood. If im depressed I like Bullet for my Valentine of Otep. If im angry or upset I'll listen to some Twiztid or Five Finger Death Punch. And for those weird moods I like opera. Also I like Techno, and Industrial, and classic power ballads.

I'm really into most music if i'm honest but mainly from what i call real bands those that play instruments not just sample everything.

that said i do like some dance stuff and have recently been getting quite into more mainstream chart stuff like lady gaga, katy perry etc.I've always had a love of solo female artist, probably because i wanted to be them but i just love the female voice, nerina pallot is another favorite.

I'm also a big heavy metal and alternative fan, bands like Tool, Metallica, Green day, muse, arctic monkeys(not sure if they have made it state side as yet)

And i also like the intensity of a lot of classical music, the sheer power of that stuff is mindblowing.

It would probably be easier to ask what i don't like, lets see, boy bands and anything else made for commercialism and country and western (i just can't get my head round it, sorry country fans, i do appreciate the technical skill required for it just not my thing)

I dont listen to rap all that much but Lupe Fiasco is someone i like to listen to. His music is more lyrical than a bunch of other artists'.

My favorite genre of music is symphonic metal; I just LOVE the fusion of classical/folk music with heavy metal. I'm also a strong advocate of women in the metal scene; I've actually been working on an essay on this for the last 2 years.

Anyway, some of my favorite artists: Epica (met them), Nightwish, Tarja, Emilie Autumn (met her too; the greatest night of my life), Within Temptation, Apocalyptica, Twelve Girls Band, Pink Floyd, REM, Simon and Garfunkel, just to name a few :)

Favorite bands? Hmmmm it's always changing but I'd have to say most of the stuff I listen to is a lot of 70s era glam/punk rock. Stuff like :

Joan Jett/The Runaways

David Bowie

T-Rex

Iggy Pop

Nick Gilder

"Lust For Life" by Iggy Pop always gets me jumping around on my bed in my undies singing into hairbrushes lol. :D

Love and Hugs

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

Good morning everyone,   It’s Thursday well as least I took my Thursday Medications as sorted out in my weekly dispensary caddy. Today’s coffee is Folgers Breakfast Blend served HOT, black and strong. My wife and I are going to explore the Western and Southern coasts of Saginaw Bay and hang out in Bay City, MI. today.    @Willowonce @Abigail Genevievepointed out the word usage in your post. I read it and laughed, enjoying the snarky tone of the comment. Since it was spelled correctly I thought maybe you meant for it to read just as you typed it. Then the kinder gentler me thought it would be better if I changed it. I’m not saying I corrected it, I just changed the severity of the sentence.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Things are moving quickly now that I have my drivers license and social security card in my new name. It was really affirming when I got my first paycheck in my new name.

Amazingly I have found many cis women are absolutely wrong in their assumptions about bra fittings. I knew an elderly lady that said, "I have been a C cup since school, I just buy a bigger band size as my breasts grow." This is completely WRONG as the band should always fit snug with they gore firmly against the chest.    One of CNA's came into Torrid and I helped her pick out a new bra. She didn't even understand band size was inches and cups/band combo were based off Victorian shirt sizes.  She said, "how do you know so much?"   We found her proper fitting band size, then found a cup she fit.    How can people that take the vast majority of bra users know so little about them? Seems most cis women just use "try it on" only.

As has been said many times, this is not a black and white issue. Sure.  I get it that a MtF person that has gone through full male puberty and "transitioned" 6 months ago probably has an advantage in some sports.  But these bans affect elementary school kids too. I mean, banning trans women from Darts?  Chess?
