First electrologist appointment tomorrow

Guest Addi

Hi Everyone,

Weather permitting, I start treatments tomorrow! My facial hair is mostly white so LHR is not an option for me.

I didn't shave today and now I'm in hiding like the hunchback of Notre Dame, ugh.

The pain scares me a little but I am excited to have another person on my transition team!

Wish me luck and not too many returns.

Hugs,

Shari

The temporary inconvenience is worth it, when you see the results. Permanent feminine eyebrows and the loss of the mustache was my immediate reward, yes! It's expensive and it can hurt a bit, but, honey it is really worth it so go get some permanent body modification started. And you will give us an update?

Okay Dee Jay, I'm glad I gave you an opportunity to make laugh. I'm laughing now, out loud.

Yeppir Julie, I will whine, er uh, report back after.

Hi Johnny. We are not in the Hurricane warning area, just a little west of it so as long as Irene does what she's told, I'm good. My heart goes out to everyone in the path of it. Having experienced one I can say that it is very frightening.

Hugs to all,

Shari

Well, I drove to my appointment in a hurricane and got there 10 minutes early. She still had power so we were good. She started with a consultation and pulled about 10 hairs so I could feel it for myself. She asked if it hurt too bad to go ahead and I said let's do it, I can handle this. We did a thirty minute session.

She told me that all her transgender clients are the most motivated and able to endure anything. She also said she liked me.

Next appointment in a week.

Shari

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P
    • Abigail Genevieve
      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
