So apparently this extremely affordable home IPL system ACTUALLY WORKS, assuming you are a good candidate for IPL in the first place.

Problem: The only place I could find to purchase it was from their website, which apparently no longer exists. RARG!

Anyone know anything about this company? I tried to do a google search to see if there's a phone number or something that can be called to see if the site being down is temporary or if the company went belly up or whatever, but everything I can see suggests the site should still be active. I dunno.

I am not sure what you are speaking about (honestly, I have no idea what IPL means), but when it comes to defunct websites, the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine (http://www.archive.org/web/web.php) is always worth a try: just type in the address of the old site, and if you are lucky there will be one or more archived snapshots from it available. If you are even luckier, you may find the company's contact details on these time-frozen snapshots.

Oh, and IPL is Intense Pulsed Light, it's used for skin treatments and hair removal similar to lasers, and MyEspil is a home version of it. Or was anyway. I found another one that's apparently about the same quality though, so if that one remains unavailable, I can always try Silk'n SensEpil.

This is a warning to anyone who is considering purchasing this product as I have been stung!

Yes, it appears that this company is no longer trading. They have gone to extreme lengths to remove all traces of their website off search engines such as google - in less than a week!

I have received the hair removal device (at a cost of AUD425) which was faulty. I returned it to their Korean office for a replacement. I paid AUD53 to send to Korea which I was to be reimbursed for once they received it. This was 3 weeks ago and the company is not responding to my emails and the phone number is no longer connected.

I have contacted the Korean factory and they claim that they have not received it, instead they provided me with other email addresses - to which I received no response.

Therefore, keep away from this product as I have just lost approx. AUD500.

And they are not an American based company as www.myespil.com claim - they are Korean as I check this out on the whois data base.

True, it was not American. Silk'n SensEpil is American, though, and I might yet consider that one, if I can find out anything about it.
