Honestly from what I can tell you already answered your question 'cause I was @ about the same age when I really came into who I was & I had the same feelings of guilt when I did it but then I came to realize that, that was how I was supposed to be.

The feelings of guilt have nothing to do with weither or not you are a cross dresser or transsexual, just the way society has programmed us. We vary from the 'norm' so it must be wrong, we must be horrible people - we feel guilty. The hardest part is breaking through that cycle of guilt - if you feel better in women's clothing then you owe it to yourself to explore the possibilities. You are still very young so I would advice caution about going public right away and as always I would advice you to go to a therapist who specializes in Gender Identity Disorders (lovely sound, isn't it?) who can help you to find your way along this path to your own level of comfort, any where from dressing in private all the way to SRS and actually becoming a woman - only you can be sure what is best for you.

Good luck, take a deep breath and enjoy the journey.

We are all here to support each other, ask a question and you will usually receive about a dozen very good opinions - there are no definite answers, you must pick the ones that speak to you.

You looked at the right place.

back at your age, I also came to tooo....but unlike a picture perfect way of realizing things, I went back to hiding...because yes, I was embarrassed that I was so different.

Alas, I had no internet at all back in the days and didn't have support like I do now. If you aren't sure, don't worry. I was just like that. Take your time.

Hi,

the thing is that the society make rules and sometimes you do not fit into it. But, who cares? I mean what is wrong to wear the things you like? Someone like fishing other like football. Is it wrong to play football or fishing if ohter people does not do it? It is the same thing with crossdressing. Once you say to you it is not wrong you feel much better. Take it as a hobby like fishing and not as the biggest thing on earth. It take time to handle it this way but it helps.

Once I found out that I am not normal my live was better from that moment. But I do not stop doing the things I do.

So you are not normal, who cares! Nobody is normal. The average of all strange people is normal but everbyody is strange in one way.

Greetings

Nelly

It sounds like getting back in is the issue.  It will still be handy to have it if you aren't planning on coming back.  Hopefully it doesn't get that bad, but it is good to be prepared.

Did they provide a diagnosis, follow-up treatment, medicine?  I agree with Vicky, that it seems like they treated you well, which is great.   Carolyn Marie

The way things are going, this country won't be recognizable in two years, nor will we have a Constitution that means a damn.  The admin is already trying to impeach any judge that dares disagree with him.   Carolyn Marie

I love the lighter nights and warmer weather, its a great time to start outdoor hiking and our usual yearly walks, I am going to have to watch my weight, i am 59kg my average tends to be around 62 kg if i can stay around 59 kg i am not too much bothered. but spring is a time of planting up flowers on my balcony and attending my hanging baskets, Mia loves the cat mint and loves to watch the butterflies.

I love doing exercise, more so in the summer, i can be quiet strict with my diet, i do eat red meat and potatoes, its about finding out what works for you and being realistic. When i first started on hormones i had my weight checked by the endocrinologist at hospital every three months. I tend to worry a lot too so that might be one reason why i do not gain weight easily. when i go on very long walks say around 30 miles friends will say have your brought anything to eat? i never did only bottles of water to keep me going.

I have my passport, but I'm afraid to try to use it.  It sounds like it might get confiscated.  But I don't really have anywhere to go anyway.

Thank you MaeBe for always being there. I really do appreciate you. I hope things are going better for you and family.   Thank you HeatherK I will tell him you said happy birthday.   montyone well I can talk with you. I'll try to make it a habit to check the forums more often. I just have a lot going on. As you can tell by my post count, I was very active. I have kids two boys and doing house renovations on top of it. Getting a new floor put in because I have only had concrete for a while because the HVAC flooded the floors and of course the laminate wasn't waterproof. What I selected now is plus I love the look better on this. I'll post a picture.

Exactly.  This was the rationale used to prohibit LGBTQ+ people from the military in the first place, back in the last century.  They said it wasn't being gay itself that made you ineligible, it was the fact that you had to hide it, thus making you vulnerable to foreign blackmail.  And of course, the reason they had to hide it was because they'd boot you out if they found out.  Total circular reasoning.

We did yoga at ballet school it was the first lesson of the day starting at six in the morning. Yoga is important to ballet because its about mind, some of the exercises in ballet could be really painful, part of yoga was about pain management and working through the point of pain. If you thought about it you would tense up and that would make it worse. The butterfly pose or a variation of it was to have someone stand on your knees and push them flat down to the ground, a teacher would then go behind and pull your body back until your head touched the ground. Never do this pose it has to be supervised and is usually done once the body is warmed up and your mentally relaxed. Once you manage to relax the teacher would lift your head your partner stopped standing on your knees and the teacher would then pull you forwards by holding your hands until your face touched the floor, the teacher would say relax and work through the point of pain. The important part is to keep your knees to the floor, so, why do they teach this for classical ballet? well its because we turn out our legs, eg first and second position, fourth open fourth closed and fifth, known other wise as positions of the feet.
