Laser Hair Removal in Denver

Well, I finally made my first appointment to get started on laser for my beard, I had a consultation with this place a few years ago but nothing came of it at the time. I decided to just eat the extra expenses, that I can't really afford at the moment, because I look way better when I shave (obviously) then when I leave it as stubble and unfortunately shaving still makes my face extremely painful after a few times.

Anyways, this place isn't listed on the main site here, and funny enough one of the places on the resource page I think went out of business because the owner got arrested or something, so I'll let you all know how it goes maybe you'll have a new place to add to the list. They were nice enough when I went in for my consultation and they're all registered nurses but I also wasn't anywhere near presenting as female and it never really came up at the time. I'll share the name (if that's allowed) later on if I feel its worth recommending. :)

With any luck this is the first step for me to eventually not have to deal with annoying facial hair again!

Well had my appointment today! It was surprisingly painful lol but nothing too bad just wasn't expecting it to hurt as much as it did. They had mentioned I had thicker than usual facial hair but that the hair color and my skin tone should give me great results. No lingering pain afterwards so It wasn't too bad! The Staff was extremely nice and I've got my followup appointment setup already.

So far I'm pretty happy with the place I went to, its a smaller business operated by registered nurses and they do Electro too. I'll wait for a few more appointments though before I decide to make an actual recommendation here or not though :)

There is also a good list of laser and electro services in the resource guide at the Gender Identity Center of Colorado

www.gicofcolo.org

It is hard for Laura to keep up with all of the changes going on in the resource guides on the main site. If you see one that is no longer there or have one to recommend you might want to PM Laura with the information.

Mia, I hadn't really thought of that! Also I didn't really want to be a bother for Laura with this kinda stuff either lol.

I'll do that though if I do go ahead and recommend this place (thinking I probably will but I wanna have more than a single appointment under my built before I do.) So far I'm pretty happy though. :)

Hi Sarah,

A place that does electrology and also has RN's is important. We all seem to need the electrologist eventually, and, depending on a surgeon, you may need it in the lower forty too.

I had to do that, and felt fortunate that I had an RN who could adminster lidocaine injections, reducing the pain to nil for what would otherwise have been difficult.

I'll be interested to hear if you keep your first impressions of these folks.

Love, Megan

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.
