Two months yesterday --

I don't know whether it seems longer or shorter than two months, but Jan 15 to March 15 works out to 60 days. Jan 15 was the SRS itself. The swelling has almost all gone to nothing, but I still spray a bit when I go to pee, None of the sutures are left as far as I can feel. I have another month to go before I go down to twice a day dilating from thrice a day, but the only problem with the dilating now is the time it takes, and the mess from the lubricant. What less can a girl want??

I feel fine about the surgery, but now my stress is toward cleaning out my kitchen cabinets so I get ready for a remodeling job of the kitchen itself.

Vicky, may I ask how do you feel physically at this point? Tired? Not tired? Tiring easily? Physically sore? What observations would you make about your physical well being at this point, to convey to someone who has not yet had SRS about your current state? What do you experience at this point, knowing that we're all individuals and may experience things differently?

I'm amazed that it has been so long. Your getting to be an older woman. I'm glad the healing is going so well and you are able to fret about the kitchen.

Hugs,

Charlie

Time does fly! I'm glad its going well for you! I would not push yourself too hard yet on your kitchen remodel until you heal a little more, personally

By six weeks, all of my external sutures had dissolved and fallen off/out. which greatly improved personal comfort, the darn things itched for me. I have not really had to use any pain medication for specific SRS related reasons since about 4.5 to5 weeks, but you can get headaches and muscle soreness like anyone else so my Advil supply keeps getting some use. I am not noticing that I get tired any more easily than was age appropriate before my surgery. For the first three weeks, climbing stairs was a bit slow because of the tugging on the sutures, but I was assured by the doctor that they were not going to be hurt by the exercise I was a little more susceptible to colds for a while here, but was that the surgery's doing, or just the cold's? I will agree that my resistance was down, as my early yeast infection proved. I have no trouble at all walking double distance in our shopping malls here.

A feeling that my pelvic area did not really belong to me has cleared up, along with my being afraid to touch the entire area aside from dilating and I now feel comfortable with cleaning it as I need to. I did not really ever have any numbness in the surgery area, but it is now responding to lighter touch in a positve way. There are still moments when I get some nerve misfirings and make me reach for areas that I realize are not where they feel like they are to soothe them.

I am happy I am the way I now am, but it is not the ecstasy that I imagined it would be. I have functional organs that look OK in the mirror, but it is not a permanent, all time high, and I can now ignore stuff and just get along with my usual humdrum daily existance.

As I said, with the end of the swelling and pain you do realize more clearly what your have done. If you get busy and on with your life after surgery, the days of heavy discomfort will become a memory that you had the pain, but not a memory of the pain itself if that makes sense. My blood sugar is back under better control now, but I may have put back a pound or two.

I think I see life ahead on the horizon.

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).
