Odd, but serious question.

My doctor has told me that I'm not aggressive enough when dilating. That I need to push harder and use the larger dilators. It doesn't hurt, but my hands are cramping and sore from holding the dilator and pushing. Odd, I know.

I take Advil to relieve the pain, but I'm worried that over time I'm going to really hurt my hands. I was thinking about wrapping tape, or putting a tennis ball over the end. (You can stop laughing now).

I'm serious, I need suggestions.

:-)

OK, you made me go back and check on my Dilators for an idea for you. My dilators are colored plastic with a curved tip, and they have five depth gauge marks on them. I use the gel type lube now (Wal Mart's Equate Brand Personal Lube comes in a pump bottle,) but have cut it back to two thinner lines (top and bottom) when I use them. I spread the stuff on them with one finger in an even coat with the excess at the tip of it. I only apply the lube from about the second to the top mark on mine down to the tip. That way, the biggest end is dry and does not slip in my hand. I am using my 1 3/8" diameter boyfriend (mint green) which is the largest one that Marci Bowers provides in our discharge kit. I have both sets of labia, and the braille dot at the handle end is right at my labia minora when I bottom out. Once I bottom out on insertion, I can use it like a bicycle pump, or I can turn it around pretty easily and manage to massage my prostate regularly.

As long as you can keep the extra grip piece clean, I don't see why you could not use it, but I do not use gloves, and do keep the non business end dry. I do not have to use a lot of strength for any of it, so I do not have much muscle cramp experience.

There used to be some medium density foam "toys" that my phlebotomist had me use for gripping motions to help find my veins that could be taped on to help with hand cramping.

I'm not sure what to do. I'm careful not to get lube on the end, but by the time I'm done dilating my hands hurt.

I'm going to try and wrap the ends with tape.

What do your dilators look like? This link is to my style http://www.soulsourceenterprises.com/html/products_grs.html . They have grip notches on the outer end that help my hands holding it in place. I did not get the orange one, but I don't want it either. If you have another type, you may want to look into this one.

I guess I am curious what the problem is that you need to be more aggressive.

Obviously it isn't orgasms since I thought you posted no problems with that.

Depth? Girth?

If you are aggressive to the point your hand hurts, that sounds pretty aggressive. If I were getting aggressive enough that my hands started hurting I would worry about creating a fistula.

I don't understand why typical gentle pressure which I believe is more the norm isn't sufficient.

I probably have some arthritis in my hands. Yes, those are the dilators.

I'm not forcing it, but I was told to be more aggressive. I have no issues with orgasms.

I think my problem is they are small and gripping them is hard. Gripping any small object is difficult. I'm going to wrap them tonight and see if it gets better.

Thanks for the replies.

I also use the Soul Source dilators... but once I get it in full-depth... I just use the flat palm of my hand or fingers at the flat base of the dilator to hold it in there. Gripping around the dilator would be hard and uncomfortable while trying to keep it in there.

PS: I don't use the orange one either. The green one is sufficiently large enough for me. I'm not sure who would want to use the orange one myself?

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.
