Aagh. Tough question. Tougher than it should be...

Nine days out of ten, I want top surgery. I don't have any use for my breasts, they don't make me look any better or feel any better, and I have no intention of ever having kids. I prefer being flat-chested--I feel like I look better, I feel better in general, and I just like presenting that way. But that tenth day, I wouldn't give up my curves for the world. Even when I wish I had a guy's equipment and not a girl's, well, I'm never going to really have a guy's working equipment and I'd want to shoot myself (non-fatally) on that tenth day if I did have top surgery. Right now, I want to be flat-chested, but I want to keep my curves... I want a binder right now. (Mom is very sad because she thinks I'm so pretty--and so do I; I just don't want to look pretty like that all the time--and she's so sad that I want to change my appearance and I'm not happy with my body as it is.) So I checked "Want it", even though in the long run, I'm happier keeping a full figure on one side and changing it day-by-day. ... I'm strange like that.

Yes, I want top surgery.

Even though I'm lucky to have a very small chest, it feels alien to me.

It also looks funny as I've built more muscles: I'm starting to look like a guy with a small chest.

I'll be much more of myself without chest. And the thought that someone'd see my chest kind of

guess it through the clothes and think I'm female is horrifying.... I want to build nice male chest/

chest muscles/pecs, which I'm working on, and I hope to have a surgery only after I've built impressive

chest muscles: in case the surgery interferes with the exercises somehow, like if there're complications or

poor healing.

I used to really want it...sometimes I considered doing it myself. Now, I still don't really like them and think they're a nusiance, but I sometimes still want to have them. I want to somehow be able to get rid of them or conceal them sometimes and let them exist other times.

I suppose I'm the first male-bodied to reply, so I suppose my answers are inverse. I wouldn't get top surgery, as it would entail me gaining breasts, which I have no real care for, to be honest. I'd go for whatever developed on their own, but I have no desire to help along in that particular department.

Of course, if this is only about reduction surgery, just ignore me. =|;3

Bio-Male here too.

Well I had a dream once where I had breasts  But it all seems to permanent, I don't want that either. I swing way to much in my gender-moods that I won't go for that. Changing your body is certainly permanent, and moreover most people will still treat you like one or the other, because it's hard to other people to treat you as "both" gender. I think that's important to realize, because the threat of doing this for the acceptance of others isn't the way to go I guess. So dig deep and think it over more than one time I'd say.

I would love to have breasts and dream of implants some day. Having said that, I don't think it would work for me. There are times when I want to present as totally male and breasts would prevent that. I'm stuck but I can dream. :banghead:

Every single day I look at my breasts and feel like they should'nt be there.

They have always felt totally alien to me!

I hate everything about them.

I've always thought about top-surgery, but am not sure if I could go through with it.

I bind everyday and do a pretty good job with that ( I have quite small breasts...)

On me, boobs are bleugh.

I'm doing it to feel more comfortable in my own body.

And furthermore. Theres no need for anything to be 'thought over'. I know what I want, and I've wanted it since forever.

Well, this is the androgyne forum right? I don't understand why this topic is being posted in this section in the first place., since in my opinion it has little to do with androgyny.

Asking what surgery non-binaries want/need in terms of surgery has little to do with non-binaries? I realize this is the androgyne forum, but we don't have a general non-binary forum, so this'll have to do, and I doubt anyone would say that other non-binaries aren't allowed here.

I want top surgery, I also want genital nullification and someone to break and reset my pelvis so I don't have that curve. The first will happen, the second might not but I'm going to try, the third is impossible and is more of a pipe dream than anything. The reason I want this is because I'm a neutrois, and I feel just as dysphoria as a MtF or FtM would, but I don't want the same results. I want to have a neutrois body. I may have to pass as "Ma'a- sir... er... Ma'am?" or aiming for a 50/50 split of "he"s and "she"s, but that doesn't mean my body can't be what I want it to be. And what I want has a great deal to do with my gender identity.

Welp.

I didn't vote because the answer is: I'm not sure!

But, if i could wave a magic wand, my chest would be very small and less of an "issue".

You colud have size A breasts which are small as a female and you can bind them to be male.

I like my breasts and my body in general except that I need more muscle and fitness. It's more how I feel in terms of gender than wanting a more male/ androgynous body. If I could have both sets of equipment working properly than I'd take the chance. Still, it's probably not going to happen so, I'll stick with what I got. Besides I may want children someday.

This is an interesting question, and one that isn't easy to answer.

While I wouldn't go out and pay for it, even if I had the money, I would accept it if someone were offering. (Small ones, adding a cup size or so.)

The same goes for bottom surgery, although I would accept that no questions asked, at least the removal part.

I'm thinking i want top surgery. It seems to me, It's easier to fake having boobs then to fake not having them. I'd rather stuff a bra then push em' down all the time. But still, i kinda feel the same way you do. I switch around a lot. But I'm preeettty sure i want it.

I definitely want top surgery. When I was 4 years old one of our neighbours got breast cancer and had both of her breasts removed. I responded "If I ever get breasts, I'm going to cut them off too!" (I also ate everyone's crusts because someone said it would put hair on your chest.) Anyway, I have never accepted these masses on my chest. And there is no God... I'm a freakin' Double D! I am actually afraid to go outside now that it is warmer. In the winter I can hide under coats and baggy sweatshirts, but summer is my season of shame and fear.

I'm guessing you'd want to breast feed? Is it for the bonding or the nutritional/immunal/etc benefits? If you plan on having a male-bodied partner, this is something to consider- but many men can breast feed. They don't magically start lactating, but after a few weeks of an infant suckling on them, they'll generally start- you could try getting a breast pump a few months before your due date and using that to simulate the suckling. Most people suggest starting with 5-15 minute sessions 3 times a day, and increasing it to 15 minute sessions every 4 hours as the due date gets closer to increase the supply. Also, you can get human breast milk. It's not as good as you/your partner's, but it is an option.

I suggest this because I'm pretty sure that any form of breast surgery around there carries a risk that you'd lose the ability to lactate. You should ask your surgeon just to be safe, and you could ask that they try and preserve it as best as you can.

My partner and I plan on having kids, but I couldn't survive keeping my breasts until then- which is how I found out that men could lactate.

For me the question was never though to answer: yes I do. I never ever liked my breasts, I never feel comfortable in it and while I love every part of my imperfect body I hate my breasts. They just feel like... they don't belong to me. They're not part of my body, they're like... I don't know how to describe it. They're just "wrong" if that might helps to explain. Since I have them I wanted them to go away. And I'll have my top surgery. It's the best decision for me. I know I know, big choice and stuff but I thought a lot about it and I'm sure it's the best for me.

I'm tired of the two-party system.  It has degraded to a system where there are only two diametrically opposed views, neither of which supports me.  I have conservative views regarding big government and government spending but I have very liberal views when it comes to protecting the rights of individuals.  And just elections of the past, I am stuck with two choices, neither of which I support. With only two parties, each with agendas that are off the left and right scales, I am not adequately represented.    Finally, I'm okay with party affiliated politicians running for office using their party views, but once elected to office, they are obligated to support the entire electorate not just the electorate members that voted for them.  Plain and simple, our government system is broken and dysfunctional.  I'll step down from my soapbox now.

Thanks Mae.  She was an amazing friend and I grew to love her like a sister.

I did Ashley.  Non-rev travel was one of the major factors for taking the job.  At the time, US Airways had the best non-rev policy in the industry.  It cost $10 to fly coach and $25 to fly first class.  We flew first class whenever there were seats available.

You should have a moderator fix what you meant to write as "birth certificate".  Ooops.   I've gone over that verse and am wholly and completely dissatisfied with the SBC exegesis of it, so much so that it was one of the things that helped me break out of a mindset of guit.  Sometime I may strut by stuff as a Hebraist and show what it really means.

I found this   — 450 — Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise Goal #1: Protecting Life, Conscience, and Bodily Integrity. The Secretary should pursue a robust agenda to protect the fundamental right to life, protect con- science rights, and uphold bodily integrity rooted in biological realities, not ideology. From the moment of conception, every human being possesses inherent dignity and worth, and our humanity does not depend on our age, stage of development, race, or abilities. The Secretary must ensure that all HHS programs and activities are rooted in a deep respect for innocent human life from day one until natural death: Abortion and euthanasia are not health care. A robust respect for the sacred rights of conscience, both at HHS and among gov- ernments and institutions funded by it, increases choices for patients and program beneficiaries and furthers pluralism and tolerance. The Secretary must protect Americans’ civil rights by ensuring that HHS programs and activities follow the letter and spirit of religious freedom and conscience-protection laws. Radical actors inside and outside government are promoting harmful identity politics that replaces biological sex with subjective notions of “gender identity” and bases a person’s worth on his or her race, sex, or other identities. This destructive dogma, under the guise of “equity,” threatens American’s fundamental liberties as well as the health and well-being of children and adults alike. The next Secretary must ensure that HHS programs protect children’s minds and bodies and that HHS programs respect parents’ basic right to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children.   https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_CHAPTER-14.pdf   First, that is not much, if that is all that is of concern.  Secondly, I have seen all sorts of anti-Trump slander, including the Steele dossier and the lawfare he is now undergoing, to be cynical of any criticism against him, and indirectly this document.    He deserves some of what he is getting, but not all.  Thirdly, I bolded one statement of concern.   I don't think gender identity is subjective.  "Radical actors" is name calling, and there is a lot of that going around.  Maybe I am not seeing everything of concern or reading this right, but i would discuss with the author of this document concerning this.

Good evening   well I finally finished reading my textbook.  Yeah.  But I still have a lot more to go for the class.     My endocrinologist always asks me about lactation.  And yes I have had some very small amounts of leakage but not on any regular basis.  I figure I blocked the discharge Duce when I pierced my nipples with scare tissue.  But who knows.  I also get asked about mammograms.  I e had my first or baseline and this fall I will need to schedule my second.   As someone in the midst of studying the Old Testament, I can say that I haven’t found any mention of pending damnation for being transgender or intersex.  The closest it comes is a verse that says men should not wear women’s clothing.  Now I don’t know each and everyone’s particulars, but I know I meet the medical definition of female gender, and even in Ohio, a State that until recently refused to allow bitch certificates to be changed, I meet the criteria.  Therefore I can only conclude I am not a man wearing women’s clothing.  But there is a somewhat different scholarly explanation of that law that it should not be taken as literally as the haters want.  Mostly men should not pretend to be women to ex ape from their enemies. Or tried to hide from God.     willow

Well, the left wing has been doing that.    I read a few things while trying to find out what the problem is and liked what I read.  But I am a conservative.    Is there something specific in there that is of concern?  Does it promise somewhere to erase trans folk? That would be problematic.
    • Ivy
It's a plan to basically completely take over the government by the right wing.

I'm actually in Asheville tonight.  Some of the people in the support group invited me for dinner after the meeting.  We're going to get together again tomorrow again. It's been nice, 4 trans women and 1 trans man, together ar a restaurant.

I found https://www.project2025.org/policy/   I will have to read it.  I have not.  What is of concern?   The link provided earlier goes back to this forum.

My parents were life long Democrats.
    • Ivy
'Nuff said. Yeah I'm not thrilled with Biden either. There are some conservative ideas I'm good with.  And I do feel that the current Democratic party is too cozy with the bankers and wealthy.  But despite all their talk, when it comes down to it, so are the Republicans.  And it's not the Dems calling for our eradication. Unfortunately, I see this election as existential for trans folks.

Good evening everyone,   @Birdie your CNA Is ill informed about breast and proper bra fitting.   My wife and I are checking out a campground up in Michigan just a little North of Saginaw, MI. We had a great meal at a local tavern serving delicious perch fillet dinner.   We’re going to check out the Saginaw,MI Bay area for summer time activities for when we come back on occasion. We belong to a camping club call Adventure Outdoors and have free camping at their resorts around Michigan and Ohio.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
    • Abigail Genevieve
I agree.   Biden has been known to switch positions without notice, whether on abortion, Gaza or gay marriage.  Most of what he has done has been via executive order and decision, so it does not carry the force of lasting law and can be easily reversed.  I really do not trust him at all.   Trump says a lot of things.  He switches his position all the time.  Most of what he wants to do will require legislation to accomplish, some of which will simply never become law.  I do not trust him at all.   I'm not sure which is worse for trans people specifically because of this, and the fact that the other issues that surround trans folk which I attempted to isolate this question from, but here I go :) also affect trans people along with everyone else.   In either case trans folk need to be prepared.
    • Carolyn Marie
I'm certain that there are some, if not many, but you would be hard pressed to find them willing to speak up on this forum.  There are many trans folk who are conservative, and believe that Biden's non-trans related policies are terrible.  Those include his economic, foreign policy, border security, and environmental policies.  I'm a lifelong Democrat, and even I don't like all of Biden's policies.  It comes down to who would do the most damage to the most people, and the most damage to America as a going democratic nation which has respect for the rule of law.   Carolyn Marie
