Hair Removal in Virginia

Hi there,

I live in southwestern Virginia and I'm discovering (not to my surprise) that there just don't seem to be any competent transfriendly electrologists anywhere nearby. Despite going on another forum and scouring the web for months, I've turned up nothing that isn't several hours away. The best that the local transgender group could suggest was a referral to a nearby laser provider - search results online turned up some unsavory comments about them.

I just want to see if anyone knows of electrologists in the area and can speak to their experience. Thanks so much for any feedback you may have.

Best wishes.

First of all welcome to Laura's. While i do not know an answer to your question i do hope you can find the support and information i found here.

You might want to post in the introduction forum to meet more people.

Hugs,

Charlize

Were the "unsavory" comments made by Trans* customers, or by customers who realized the Laser Tech worked on Trans* folk?? If your Trans* support group made any mention of the person, they may think the person is OK. Even here in the more open fields of Los Angeles it works that way. I do not know how you are gauging local electrologists as "Trans* friendly" since very few will pass up a client with money in their pockets no matter what hair the client wants removed.

The organization that helped me start my online group for the lgbq+ community in the past, now doesn't even acknowledge me as a online virtual facilitator, since after my social media account got hacked in the past.  Additionally, they won't even let in person walk-in groups to know the new web link to my group exists. One staff member at the walk-in support group suggested for me not contact her directly in person, but rather email her instead. sometimes I feel like I'm being gaslighted.

Emotional peace, or inner peace, is a positive emotional state that's characterized by a sense of balance and stability. It's a state of tranquility where you feel at ease with yourself, others, and the world around you.    Some ways to find inner peace include:      Spending time in nature: You can go for a walk in nature or paint what you feel.      Setting emotional boundaries: Setting emotional boundaries can help you strengthen your ability to react in a calmer way.      Social and emotional learning: Social and emotional learning can help you understand yourself in the context of your environment and peers.      Practicing mindfulness: You can practice mindfulness by focusing on your senses while doing everyday activities, like brushing your teeth.      Practicing gratitude: Practicing gratitude can help you find inner peace.      Finding inner peace doesn't depend on a problem-free life, but rather on attaining happiness, contentment, and bliss despite challenges

I personally do believe. Having made it so far in life and finally understanding who I was, acknowledging who I was, transitioning and finally finding peace, is a miracle.

Fact: The circulatory system is more than 60,000 miles long If a child’s entire circulatory system—we’re talking veins, arteries, and capillaries—were laid out flat, it would stretch for more than 60,000 miles, according to the Franklin Institute. By the time we reach adulthood, our bodies have become home to approximately 100,000 miles of blood vessels.
