Are these boots gender neutral?

The question is do you think these boots would work if I wore them when I am dressed in male attire.

I would like a pair that I would be able to wear either in stealth mode or the occasion when I can safely dress as myself ( Ie Cerise ).

As mentioned in other posts I can walk better with heals due to osteo damage and theee would actually provide stability and a better position for pain free walking.

I asked my son flat out if they were "too gay" or not. He said No and I asked him twice.

He knows me as Cerise and as Dad so he can be honest

The big diff is in male stealth mode pant leg over the shaft and in Cerise "I love shoes" mode pant leg tucked in.

If I go for them they will be pricey since all the footwear I have were either customized or ordered that way.

For that reason I don't want to buy them and then garner neg comments by phobics and never wear them again.

I could get around this by wearing cowboy boots but cowboy boots are really not my thing and would just make my feet look bigger.

Plus the point is to let the world see me as I see myself.

Yes, I think they look gender neutral, and you're right about wearing them inside or outside the pants. Nice boot, BTW.

I think it would depend on where the pant leg is.

(now this is just my opinion, mind you)

If the pant leg is covering up most of the boot, yeah I can see it as gender neutral.

If the pant leg is inside the boot, that would be more female.

(again, just my opinion)

reason being, I don't really see a lot of guys with knee high boots. women, definitely, but not guys.

I think they are definitely passable either way if you wear them as you mentioned. For my own interest do they come in a women's 13 (45european) ?

Yes , I am a 45 as well .

I need custom fit because of my ankle and thin calves.

Fernando Berlin is the search word.

Jean Gaborit is another company but his stuff is about 200 euros more in gen and use leather soles usually.

As a note if anyone goes for a custom fit do the measurments at night.

My gaborits I measured in the morning and at night I can bairly get the zips up.

Over here (UK) it would dempend how they are worn (same as Lizzie said). The main exception to this would be among the Horse riding community (or biker boots if you have a bike). I have noticed that except for ankle boots, boots in general are not very male these days. When I think of past years and the longer male boots I have worn I wonder at fashion -so silly!

I think Tracy is spot on in this observation.

I have two uses for these , one is on stage when I play as my main rep is Country, Golk and Southern Folk Rock . Pants out.

The orher would be as Myself in fem mode when safety is secure. Ie pants in.

Everyday wear is what the thing thats gonna make it okay.

My ankle and osteo issues say yes and let the comments fly.

I take so mich flack already as I wear sandals almost all year.

Dealing with rednecks is easy in some ways.

As they have issues with everything so just add it to the list.

A safe place for instance in Vancouver would be the Denman Group AA meeting where it is normal to have at least one transvestite and a few trans woman in the attendees.

Back in the 60's and 70's many guys wore boots like that, a lot more guys than girls in fact. Of course they always wore them inside the pants legs.Back in the hIppie era guys wore boots that virtually the same as women's dress boots, side zipper. Heels a little lower, but otherwise the same.Of course a lot of the guy clothing then was very feminine, which is why I liked it! I had no clue then about the transgender thing.
