Shaving Bumps and Rashes

I get a shaving rash over a couple couple parts of my body, lucky i guess since I shave my whole body daily. I ran across a product that had great reviews so I bought it.

You apply it a couple times a day at first, over the problem areas until healed and then once a day after shaving. This product, called Bikini Zone is pretty miraculous. I've been using it for a couple weeks and while I'm not totally healed, it is orders of magnitude better than before.

I will continue using it and feel secure in recommending it to other people with similar problems.

Hey Fiona,

You're a lucky girl finding the time to shave your entire body daily. I only find time to do it once a week. Wish the hormones would hurry up and make that unnecessary. By the way what sort of bike do you have? I've got an Aprilia 1000cc v twin. Hardly ever ride it nowadays since I'm preoccupied with transitioning stuff which I'm finding really does consume you're whole life. Mind you I cane the backside off it when I do get on!

I have to make time. I get up earlier in the morning, which sucks, but I'm totally uncomfortable with not shaving. I spend around 45min in the shower a day. Little longer sometimes to take more time and just enjoy the process, as much as you can enjoy such things. Lol

Did I mention my bike? I dont recall doing that, I must be turning blonde. LoL!! It's a 2007 HD softailt custom (FXSTC). I haven't been able to ride since my back/neck problem began a year ago. It's 1600cc and obviousy a V-Twin. :)

Hi Fiona,

Nothing sinister about me knowing you're into bikes - it's listed as one of your interests under your avatar photo! lol

Seriously large motor in that bike. You can probably just use top gear everywhere! Pity you can't ride it at the moment. Hope your back problems improve soon. I was off work once for about 3 weeks with excruciating pain in my back - not nice.

I shave in the bath once a week. It takes literally all afternoon one day of the weekend. It really is a pain.

I'd love to do it every day because I think it would improve things massively and if I did it for 1hr a day it would be great - just can't see me doing that at the moment though.

My body hair situation is improving all the time. I haven't really got to the point where I don't need tights but I'm getting there. Seeing hair on my developing boobs is pretty gross and I really hate that.

Can't wait to get my srs since I think that will stop it once and for all.

The main shaving issue I have had is with ingrowing hairs as I use electric shavers (I have half a dozen, using each for ideal parts of the body) and epilator. After seeing a post here recommending Witch Hazel I looked around and found some Tea Tree and Witch Hazel foaming face wash (Boots). This seems to have improved things no end as, although the ingrowing hairs still occur, the resultant inflamation clears quickly.

Using each shaver in the ideal loaction for it's design means that I can shave fairly quickly, only needing to take more care in sensitive areas. I have also planned a bit and often do areas at differing times.

Hahahaha, duh! I forgot about my profile. LOL

My showers take me 30-40 minutes for a complete body shave. Yeah, having to get up a half hour earlier sucks, but I can't stand not being all smooth. :)

Ugh, there's only one 'area' that I use an electric, and it takes FOREVER! But I only do it around once a week......

Haha, I thought it was only me who had 'blonde' moments on the site!

I use a disposable razor even 'down there'. It was fairly gruesome for quite a while - texas chainsaw massacre style! - but cleans up quite quickly now.

The older I get the more 'blonde' moments I see, to have. LOL

Before using the Bikini Zone for a while, shaving 'down there', created what looked like a crime scene. LOL It's still not totally nick free, it's so much better.

Good morning, everyone! I've finally pretty much finished with this head cold. I actually got 5.5 hours of straight sleep last night without taking any cold medication...or waking up to pee. I feel amazingly rested!!   Oh, @Willow, you are in my thoughts and prayers that your throat issue becomes less of a problem over time and not more.   I'm, hopefully, going to get our grass cut today. It takes me somewhere between 2.5 and 3 hours on the zero turn mower but the ground is still so wet that I'll have to slow down a bit. At least it's supposed to be sunny and around 60.   Have a wonderful day!!

We have had some real dillies come out as the initiative sort of thing, but as @Carolyn Marie said, very few make it out of the petition signing seasons.  I am not surprised at the origin site of this thing, it is probably one of only 3 regressive leaning counties we have in the state. We actually had one of these initiatives started to make it mandatory for police to shoot dead on site any Gay behaving individuals wherever they found them.  For the most part the matters are poorly written in ways to be unenforceable even if enacted.  Thus most never become law or get to the voters.

You make some good points, AYS.  But there are usually already too many ballot propositions each election, so the proponents know it's best to wrap it all up into a nice package.  Plus, it's easier for the signature gatherers.  Otherwise they have to have a separate clipboard for each proposition.  Too much paperwork, dontcha know?   This kind of proposition is a loser in CA, so the only possible way the proponents can succeed is to give it the scariest title imaginable and try to put one over on the voters before they get wise.  Bottom line; an ice cube on a hot summer sidewalk has a better chance of success.   Carolyn Marie

Reading that article, it seems like the attorney general gets to call it whatever unless its an outright lie.  Given the nature of politics in CA, it seems like one side has the bully pulpit for sure.  Labeling it "Restricts Rights" vs "Protects Kids" is very much a matter of perspective.  Unfortunately, that matters since many voters don't bother to read.  Perhaps a better (unbiased) way to handle it would be to simply give the ballot measure a number with no title, forcing folks to read it.    I think it would have been better to handle the various issues covered by the ballot measure separately, rather than all at once.  For example, issues relating to disclosure of medical and social information to parents.  That could be its own ballot measure, rather than lumped in with everything else.  Besides, shorter and more succinct measures are more likely to be read completely.
