Good afternoon!

Dara Yazdani, a graduate student in speech and language pathology at The George Washington University, is conducting a study on the availability and usefulness of voice therapy services to the transgender community.  I've taken this survey and found nothing alarming within it, so would like to share it with you on his behalf.  You can take the survey at:

I took it and it was quick.  The question about cost of service was unclear about timeframe.  I answered what I thought an hourly rate would be.  Hopefully something positive will come from the data they collect.

I had the same beef about the cost of service question. I answered based on what I thought a limited course of service would cost.

Thank you, Jani and Ravin. I appreciate the feedback about the cost of service question. My thanks to everyone who has participated in the survey thus far.

For those who have not yet taken the survey, but are still interested, we are still accepting responses and probably will for another month. Here again is the link: https://columbiangwu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9ow8qxws8hmOdnv

Let me know if you have any questions. You can contact me on this thread or email me if you prefer a more prompt reply ([email protected]).

Thanks again for contributing to this important research.

Best,

Dara

I went through and took the survey myself.  I tried to put a ? in the $ area and it was denied.

Oddly i've just left this issue behind at this point in my transition.  Like many things i can accept the occasional mistakes on the phone which is the worst part of my speech.  I also do believe that for some this is much more critical.

Hugs,

Charlize

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).
