Good morning everyone. On third day of HRT. Nipples are tender today, don't notice anything else different. Hydrating, and peeing is no different than normal.

I went to Cannon beach, Oregon once and saw hundreds of star fish and a couple crabs. I agree, they're cute.

Kymmie, I'm so sorry to hear you're hurting. I hope you're doing better. There is no greater pain than the ones we love hurting us. Hang in there, it'll get better.

Having some green tea instead is coffee this morning. I still wanted caffeine but I didn't want to drink coffee too often, so this seemed a reasonable compromise. ?

I realized the other day at work that I was subconsciously slumping forward at the shoulders. When I pulled my clavicles in and and straighted out my developing breasts were noticeable, if not glaringly so, through my three layers of shirts. Last night I was trying on the bras I had bought prior to medically transitioning and I'm mostly filling one B cup bra and comfortably filling the other (why can't manufacturers be consistent across brands?). So I'll be running over to the local Walmart and getting some bra strap extensions, and maybe checking out the A and B cup sports bras as well.

It sounds like the estrogen is going to town making changes already. I had to wait until I was in my fourth week before my nipples started the ouchies.

It may not be the bra. I don't think anyone has both breasts the same size. My right is bigger than my left.

I think you're right. The Estrogen may be kicking in. I got my blood tests back from my first doctor app. before he put me on HRT. My testosterone was 378, in 193-950 range. My Estrogen was 11.1, in 11.3-43.2 range. My BMI was 1 point from being obese. Everything else was either normal or borderline. I'm trying to eat better now and exercising pretty much every other day. Didn't like the sounds of OBESE. I thought I was doing ok at 5'-10" 200# at 68 yrs old.

Well finally got my E refill. yesterday. So this is my 5th week. No tenderness, but I maybe seeing some growth. My nipples are calloused anyway from being pierced a few times. They are always perky.

Well today at work my son dropped off some paperwork I need to get copied. I didn't have time to put on my vest so he may have seen the name on my work shirt. Neither him or my wife are home right now. They came up together. so don't know where they are don't really care either.

So, to present more female at work.I am thinking of painting my fingernails again. I have just a clear-esh polish on them now. but looking at color. Thoughts?

I was wondering what that status of son and wife are in regard to transition.... I hope you have told them and they are coming along if that is what you want. Depending on how work has accepted you I'd still kind of keep to lighter colors on nails to get them used to it unless you want to go gungho. I like a light pink.

I usually go clear, but I'm looking for a cool peach to match my skin tone. My suggestion is to find something fun and have at it. You need a little fun. Don't buy anything big at first, maybe find a sampler then go ahead and see what looks good on you. Find something that's really YOU and makes you happy. So long as it makes Kymmie happy, it's all good.

Hugs!

Well nothing has been said. Both are home now.

Well I had worn red, metallic green and purple. Before at work with No problems. Only taking it off after an argument with the wife.

Hrm, so to spice it up... maybe one of those air/sea rescue colors that can be seen from space? Probably not very professional though. ?

Oh, wow, those are awesome! I only do clear on my fingers, but I like to go loud and pretty on my toenails because I can just cover them with socks when I need to. But shoot, I already have so much polish as it is...Oh, what to do... :D

I'm not really to keen on how hard data on how many people actually detransition, and how only the smallest percentage of them did so out of regret, was presented and yet the claim that "so many people are detransitioning" gets parroted afterwards in article. And the concern that kids are transitioning just for the attention or popularity, when there are so many easier ways to get those sort of rewards, just feeds into the whole "transtrender" false narrative.   If this article were truly balanced, rather than "balanced" in appearance, it would have focussed on the actual data and what scientists, doctors and actual trans folk were saying and less so on the dissenting voices that lack the data.

But that's just my read of it. I do like the message of loving your kids no matter what though.

My endocrinologist has seen trans people for over two decades. He has only had a few of them detransition, said it is very rare.

Hi y’all

for all my diesel mechanic friends, just an update. I got the transmission separated and the cover plate off before my foot surgery.   I remove the bolts that held the flywheel to the crank as well, but that’s where I stopped.

today, I got back on the task. I finally got the flywheel off.  Then I managed to get the bell housing off. In Marine engines, the plate and the bell housing are made backwards compare to a car.  There is also a rear seal that is part of the bell housing but it doesn’t appear to be an oil seal though has the same construction.  Next I need to remove bolts from the front of the engine.  I’m hoping I won’t have to tear down the entire front end. Cam chain Timing, injection timing fuel pump, two water pumps lots of things I’d prefer to avoid touching.  But I also don’t know if it’s possible considering the gaskets.  What a pain just to pull the oil pan, to determine if the engine can even be repaired.

on the nail polish debate, strictly clear for me. I tried a very neutral color once but that didn’t last long.

That's me too, Mae.  I don't think it's me as much as it is the camera (that's my story anyway).  Cameras hate me.  I never met one that liked me.  I often wish I was photogenic; sadly, not so much.   However, you look terrific in that selfie!

April, I'm so glad things went well when you came out to your spouse.  So often, things can go sideways.  It's a hurdle we all have to jump at some point.

What an amazing life you've shared with your wife. I can understand the trepidation you had at telling her at that point in your relationship but it certainly saved all of the guilt, the questioning and the secrecy that would have filled your lives had you not.   I'm on the other end of the spectrum having denied and buried my truth for decades and fast approaching 50 years of marriage when the dysphoria and depression finally came to critical mass and I unloaded it all on a New Year's Day morning. As you might imagine, it led to a lot of questions, of questioning everything, of anger and hurt on my wife's part. Guilt, embarrassment, fear...and anything else you can imagine on my part.   Thankfully, our love for each other has always been the foundation of our relationship and, ultimately, we both agreed that staying together was what we both wanted. It was a tough year but, now into the 2d since my coming out, we've hit our stride and are exploring this new norm in our life.   I do so love your blog.

I thought I would try my version of this. Changes in bold.   I am Transgender.  Sometimes it is remote, sometimes close. Sometimes I am euphoric, sometimes depressed. It is something I cannot get away from and cannot welcome enough. I see some things both ways that neither men as men see or women as women see.  I can be gentle and compassionate and hard as nails. I was born with male genitals but a female heart   I have my heart.  Whatever it is. When I look at a female, I wish I looked like her  Depends on the woman.  When I look at a male, I wish I did not look like him   Ditto. I envy female movements, softness, behaviors, appearances, fashion...EVERYTHING Female Depends. Sometimes I get angry at them because women spend time and energy in ways men don't.  It is not necessarily bad.  I could do without the gossip. Not all women gossip.  Excessive focus on fashion is something I find annoying. And expensive. I tolerate all things male out of social obligation...not because I feel like a man or because it makes me happy....but because that's what I was forced to believe was my only choice....beginning in early childhood. Sometimes it is helpful to put on the Iron Man suit and act accordingly.  But I have seen some tough women. When I look at myself in the mirror in only bra and panties...I can see my nude female body...and it makes me smile and feel amazing and warm inside....yet sad because that is not my reality. I could go either way, mostly. Really.  In tests in the last two years technicians have gone really quiet when they see how little body and leg hair I have.  I looked at myself this morning.  Remove a few clues and a girl is standing there. When I look at myself in the mirror in only boxers...I can see my nude male body and it saddens me deeply and makes me feel sick and depressed...and at times...even ashamed....Because this IS my reality. At this point I am not going to do that. In the mood I am in I might break the mirror. My true gender does not influence my sexual interests or preferences...or change who I am....in any form or fashion. Gender identity is in no way connected to anything sexually related on any level.  Not sure I want to make that statement so categorically. Life as a male leaves me with a feeling that something is off...that something is missing...that something is not as it should have been.   Well put. The idea of having to continue living as a male...as someone I am not...for the rest of my life...even if its only part time...causes great sadness and anxiety within myself. I've got priorities beyond this that this must fit into. The idea of living as the girl I am and always have been on a full time basis...regardless of where I am, what I am doing or who I am around...brings me great joy, happiness and a sense of peace within myself.  Would be neat. Looking like and living as a girl makes me smile.   Would be neat.  There are downsides.  Looking like and living as a guy makes me sad.   I have had lots of practice accepting this. I am Transgender....I am a girl
