Welcome, @christinakristy2021 to our coffee clutch.

I had voice therapy. it is hard trying to remember to use my feminine voice. doubly hard since I am living two lives.

I stopped E for about 2 weeks. Then went back to hiding it.

Kymmie

Thanks, @KymmieL

Internal crisis averted. I got a call and am on the schedule to meet with a new therapist next Tuesday. I’ll happily take it as my coming out day gift. ?

I had to look this one up. Looks like a nice place. Way south of my house.

Just ordered a new coffee mug from Joe Bonamassa's website. I like listening to the blues.

Good morning again from Rend Lake, today is pack up and leave day. Family and friends were here last weekend, Monday and Tuesday, so my manor of dress was, black leggings or joggers,  camo pattern teeback undershirt, and plaid over shirt. One friend warned, I was very close to looking like a lesbian. I countered, well you’re safe because we both like girls. They left Wednesday morning, and since they, I have been full on lesbian, and my Suzie is starting to be more comfortable with my choices.

As usual the coffee was HOT, black, and strong.

Hugs,

Coffee was hot with cream, then the construction people over again. We are having the master bath remodeled.

So far so good.

Nothing else going on, just a normal Thursday.

Hi all

spending the night in Charleston.  Already checked in to our hotel.  I have an appointment with my throat Doc tomorrow for another Botox injection to control spasms in my larynx.  Yes, sticking a needle through the side of my throat multiple times is rather unpleasant.  But the weeks I get without spasms or choking are worth it.

Oh no. Not that. How awful. (Sarcasm obviously, I'm gay as heck.)

I mean seriously though, what does a lesbian look like? I know cis/het women who work in all walks of life from automotive mechanics to blacksmiths. I mean there aren't enough gym teacher positions available for ALL of us.

Hugs!

IDK, but today when I kinda had to wear boy clothes because I went unshaved for my electro consult, I looked in the mirror with my plaid pants hanging off my hips and an oversized sleeveless tshirt tucked in and literally said, "holy crap, I look like a lesbo."

OK, fair. I wore flannel, sleeveless shirt and jeans with my canvas shoes to work today. I mean it's a stereotype but...

Hugs!

Hey hey hey everyone! Had a great day today. Early this morning at work, I was working on an ATM, just as I was finishing up a lady walks up. “Miss can we use that machine now?” Guess my posture and the hormones are making some great changes! Between that and the fact that I broke down and got a BIG soda today (I’ve been trying to cut out and haven’t had more than a 20oz in months) I have been running high on life and crazy hyper!

That sounds so unpleasant! I'm glad it's at least able to give you a few weeks of relief though. HUGS

Did (one of the two) the monthly support zooms last night. The guest was an endocronologist who was a great advocate for trans folk. I asked him about the take that it's dangerous to go on HRT.

The paraphrased answer:  "NO. NO. It's not significantly dangerous when done correctly by a appropriate clinician, it's not dangerous. It's just making a person have the hormones they should have always had. No more dangerous than any other medicine. Oxygen has side effects. Water has side effects. Everything has side effects. We weigh the benefits and the risks and HRT is not significantly more dangerous than any other medication."

Someone asked him why he wanted to be a doctor, again the paraphrase:

"I'm helping people have the lives they always wanted. Selfishly, it feels so wonderful to help them go through those changes. Being able to help those people is why I went into medicine."

ThT is such a great question! Thanks for sharing. I thought about joining one of those calls a while back but never put it in my schedule. I need to do that!

That is a FANTASTIC reason to go into medicine. We need more people like that.

@stveee the same thoughts here.

@Jackie C., I love and encourage the cis/het women in my family and friends circle to get into the trades and pursue their careers. I’m also proud that the trade unions have always been for equal opportunity and pay.

@Willow, I hope you have a great weekend.

Good morning everyone,

I’m at AndyMohrFord Plainfield,IN having the truck serviced 230,650 miles and still pulling strong. The coffee here is good, the WiFi is able to keep me logged into my work files, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram all at the same time.

Hugs,

It's just broke in. They make them better than they used to. I have an 07 vibe with 450,000 + miles that still runs good. Didn't change plugs till 232,000 miles and they still looked good. Turned out I just had to clean the mass air flow sensor.

There's been a lot of new developments on my home-front. We've been able to talk a lot more openly about pretty much everything. Seeing me in a dress or skirt doesn't bother her anymore. Out in the wild we can act like we're together. She even suggested I consider getting hair extensions since mine grows so slow. Last night I was able to finally ask the big question that had been weighing on mind for the last couple of years. Would she have stayed with me if she had not gotten sick? Yes, she said she would have. She loves me for who I am not what's in my pants. It's just taken a long time for her to get over the bomb I dropped on her when I came out. I think we are actually, finally in a good place. Just in time for me to start the next leg of journey.

Liz, I’m so happy for you two, and hope my Suzie comes around to this same feeling. Time is on my side. Going slow.

Keeping the engine clean inside and out will always add life.
