Good morning from Central Indiana,

Thank you @Petra Jane @Piper and Cat for getting the system back up and running.

I don't know if the number of times I checked on the site reflect my Curiosity, or if I'm really that Dependent on the information shared here. Since there are several Cats listed on the site I didn't attach the @ for them.

The coffee is just finishing the brew process, and my day is going to be a cold one.

Hugs,

Welcome back! Welcome me back. This meeting place means a lot to me so I missed it yesterday. But the tea is steeping away and is ready to wake me. Thanks for being my rising sun today.

Our local Pride Center has a trans support group, but it's still 100% remote, I'm going to attend it for the first time this week. It was a brisk 16F degrees this morning..... Hope all have a great day

Wow. Here one day, gone the next. I thought I got myself banned again.

We're not doing bad here weather wise, mid 20's in the morning 50's by afternoon. Light wind.

Not much else to talk about, so I'll sit back and read.

Glad to be back with my friends. Thank you to the powers that be, Petra and crew. You are awesome.

Well news on our oldest son front. Seems like he has OKed me to visit. We are going the 9th-11th. I think when we did a video call on Thanksgiving. May have broke the ice. Anyway, hope all goes well.

VA changed the brand of estodol patch. It seems like a throw back from the 90s. This thing is huge. about 2 1/2 in in diam. and 1/16 in thick. it is a week long patch. but doesn't seem to water proof.

@KymmieL, WOW! That is a throwback patch. I wear xxxxx and mine are waterproof, clear in color and combined may measure 1 inch by 1 inch. I don't use the VA for a number of reasons (mostly because I qualify for Tricare), but I must say, what they're providing for you seems to me to be a bit out of step with what's available.  I'm sort of speechless.

More importantly, I'm glad your son has okayed you to visit. That's a positive step.

Hugs

That does seen big.   I wonder if they'll do that here too.

Is that the Sandoz generic patch?  That is what my pharmacist was giving me for the first couple of years, even though the prescription was for Estradot brand.  I don't doubt that, pharmacologically, they work the same, but there is a huge difference between them.  I am now insisting on the Estradot brand only.  It costs more, but it is worth it.

It is not just the size and how well they stick.  The Estradot brand uses a much less caustic adhesive, so I don't get the same burns that I used to from the Sandoz.

My VA has been sending those Sandoz patches.  I've noticed that about the adhesive as well.  They had been sending Mylan patches before that.  I much prefer those, it was never a problem with them.

I have been getting the MYLAN patch and they seem good the only problem I have had with them is when I have worn men's jeans and invariably it partially comes off. umm must be those nasty male jeans fault 🤔

I had the same experience awhile back, when my local pharmacy started swapping in Sandoz patches without warning. They were/are very prone to not remain in place for an entire week, and seemed needlessly huge in size.

I worked with my HRT clinic (Fenway Health here in Boston) to use their own pharmacy (at a cheaper price, as well!) and switched back to my original, preferred patch brand, Vivelle Dot, twice a week.  They work very dependably for me, and I'm so happy I complained and was able to get things sorted out.

I was on Mylan for my last prescription fill. Before that was Alora.  The Mylan was nice and tiny compared to what I have now.

Good morning everyone,

The coffee is brewed, eggs are boiling, and the sausage is microwaved, the English muffins are toasted. Now I need to build a breakfast sandwich.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I am going to actually tell my wife that for my appointments on Thurs and Fri. I will be dressing. Hey I am a crossdresser right.😉😉

Found out that these patches are not to water proof, this thing came about 80% loose earlier. They are supposed to be a week long patch. sure!!!!

currently on the fencometer it is upper 20s heading for the lower 50s. On Thursday Cheyenne is looking at upper 60s. So thing girl is wearing a dress. probably to Fort Collins on Friday too.

Hugs to all.

Sleepy mumbled good morning to everyone. Currently building the energy to get up and make coffee and attempt scotch eggs. Never even had them before so it will be an experiment.

That sounds very intriguing and yummy. I will definitely have to try it.

OMG I LOVE those. I mean they're basically a heart attack waiting to happen, but they're SO good...

Tell us in loving detail how they came out and how you ate them. So we can live vicariously through you.

Hugs!

I've found that covering the patches with a thin clear bandage material such as Tagamet or Opsite Flexifix (which I get on Amazon in 4" wide rolls) works well to keep patches from being chafed off by clothing.  I do round the corners so it doesn't have a place to roll over on itself.

A little overcooked, but tasty. I should make more… for practice. Yeah it’s all for culinary science. Lol

May I suggest the addition of ranch dressing. For science of course.

Those look yummy!
