Willow, At least your other half tells you when she is having problems. Mine doesn't. She has been limping around for about 10 days.

Me, What happened.

Her. My foot has been bothering me

me.  what did you do to it.

Her. I don't know

Me, How long has it been bothering you.

Her. Couple weeks.

Well not feeling to hot, so I took off early from work. Start my weekend early. I'm going to finish the 3rd season of Star Trek, discovery and watch the latest episode of The Stand. Maybe another episode of Cobra Kia. other than that just relax.

Good evening

I got my new/replacement iPad this afternoon.  Using it now.

Had my last psychologist appoint today.  We broke through as to what caused my episode in September and she was satisfied as long as I agree to contact her ASAP if I start having another episode.

@KymmieLi would be the member of our marriage who wouldn’t communicate.  At least my first therapist taught me how to talk to her.  Yes, we are fortunate that whether we agree or not we can and do discuss my situation.  And I am fortunate in that she is trying hard to help me BUT she will never accept Willow.  So I am somewhere stuck in the middle.  I hope your not feeling good isn’t the beginning of something.  Enjoy your marathon shows.

I received word from the hr. President at my work we scheduled a meeting tomorrow evening at a restaurant. So we can discuss things in private with out raising eyebrows. Since I’m in a service truck I very rarely make it to the main shop and the corporate office so if I show up there and people see my truck there will be questions asked.

@Emily michelleI hope your meeting with HR goes good.

Saturday I will have been a month since I had the phone interview with the high School. SO I sent an email to the principal telling her that I was still interested in the position. wither or not I hear anything is anybodies guess. I am not counting it gone just yet. But everyday I hear nothing, hurts.

Am I stuck where I am? I sure hope not.

crap I just started crying again. I'm such a girl crying all the time. LOL Be back later, TTFN

@Jandi Hi. are you in the area expecting snow tonight and tomorrow?  Sounds like some areas are going to get quite a bit for the Carolinas. Stay safe and just let it melt.

I'm in Cleveland county.  We can go either way.  right now it's just rain.

@Emily michelle I hope the meeting with your company's president goes well! I like that the restaurant meeting was set up to avoid extra awkwardness on your part. Good luck!

@KymmieL I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't heard any word from the jobs you were applying for. The silence is indeed tough, it's hard to know what to think... your follow-up message is a great idea. I'm holding hope for you that you'll get the email or call you've been waiting for. I'm sending you positive energy!

@Willow I agree with Gabriel, I don't think it's fair for your wife to hold you responsible for how she feels. It's like she's saying, as long as she feels okay, how you feel isn't important. That's a lot to carry on your shoulders and surely a factor in your own feelings. I'm hopeful that your wife will grow towards accepting you in time. I relate to making better efforts to communicate... my partner and I are constantly working on this, it's improving but I still feel sometimes there's unspoken issues between us. I also strive to remember it's a two-way street, I can do my part but I must trust my partner to do hers.

Another early morning here for me, one cup of coffee already down. It's going to be a busy day full of Zoom conferences with clients and colleagues. This week has been interesting in terms of comments about my hair growing longer, it's been months since I went for a haircut and everyone's noticing. I can't stall coming out at work much longer and I know it. But it was *fabulous* to hear comments about how shiny and full my hair looks... thank you genetics, HRT, Aveda, or some combination of these? I'm thinking of making a salon appointment for my birthday coming up in a few months after it grows a little more and they can more easily style it in a feminine way.

Have a great Friday everyone! ❤️

Love,

~Audrey.

@Emily michelleI hope things go good. When I needed to be out at work, it was done through emails and a phone call.

@KymmieLWaiting always the hardest part. OGM, I think that's song lyrics but it's true.

@WillowI sympathize with what you're going through. My wife wants me to wait for her to catch up before I go any further. She doesn't like the changes so she's dragging her feet.

@AudreyA couple years ago my hair was past my shoulders and apparently someone had made a what if their trans comment at a manager's meeting, two years before I came out.

Good morning everyone

Thank you all for your concern regarding my wife and I.  I understand she shouldn’t dictate my life and needs but a marriage is a partnership that we committed to for life.

@KymmieLsomething people look for in a candidate is follow-up.  A letter or e-mail thanking them for their time and either a follow-up question or a comment about something you discussed.  It shows interest and that you were paying attention to them.

@Audrey I only wish I could have like yours.  I wish I had hair!  But I was dealt this hand so wigs it is.

@ElizabethStar good luck with your meeting.  I’m sure it will be fine.  He probably will want to know what if any accommodations you need and discuss your ability to perform your job as a woman.

@Jandi I’m on the coast so no chance here this time. But we do get snow about once every 10 years.

lol Had a older co-worker who was a pest, constantly saying:

"hey [deadname] why don't ya cut yer hair"

until, one day, he added "you look like a girl" to which I finally replied

"well as long as not an attractive girl to you . . where's the beef"?

Others nicknamed me "ponytail" and he never brought it up again!

Good Morning All, I’m up a little early this morning and have to head to a Dr.’s appointment. I’m feeling better this morning after the miserable day Wednesday.

I’m sipping my coffee and checking the headlines. 12 more days before change. The good new is that my wife and I get our first COVID shot next Tuesday. This is one time when age has an advantage.

Have a great day.

Hee hee, i need to remember this for the two pests i have in my office.

Is it wrong that i read it in Jackie Rabbits voice. Maybe I'm watching too many of her videos !

So its 1am and first coffee of the day, sigh. We are just about to start a week of 30+ degree days (90 degrees F) and Monday will be first week back after Christmas holidays, yay. And my car is broken so I'll be on public transport with their notoriously bad aircon.

Still it's work and a girl needs to keep the dollars coming in.

Just rain with a bit of sleet so far here.  Snow is rare here, but it does happen.  I'm pretty close to SC, between Charlotte and the mountains.

I have a daughter in Wilmington, although it's been awhile since I was out there.

I had to skip the coffee this morning since I feel like crap.  Maybe later.

Hi

i had my pre-op testing this morning. Blood taken by a vampire and another person did an ekg.

@Jandi even though I live in SC I go to TG group in Wilmington.  There are closer but they weren’t a good fit for me.  This one suits me just fine.  And the members from the Grand Strand are increasing .

@KymmieL sounds like your are having a lot appointments this month too.  My surgery is on my foot.  Bone Spurs and no pad in a joint of my big toe.  He will clean it up then put in a couple pins and a plate.  Eventually the joint will fuse.

no GYN appointment.  I think when that happens my wife will flip out.  She’s already unhappy that she sees growth.  I see changing shape and tiny additional growth but I find it hard to imagine she can see it except for her sensitivity.  I do have growing pains.

hugs

Well, the comments about my hair reached a new high this morning. Someone said, "I think you'd look nice with long hair." Seems I just made a new friend. ❤️

Hoping all goes well for everyone with upcoming appointments!

Back to work...

Well, Today hasn't been my day.  My therapist had to cancel. She had to go to Denver. we rescheduled. Then I hear from my GYNs nurse that the VA may not provide my E. Then I get an email from the principal that they did fill the position.

Probably didn't want an old tr- girl like me. OH well. My depression is starting to tank again. I going to go up and have a good cry.

Hugs,

Starting to see a few flakes now.   Maybe it'll stick for a bit.

I'm sorry you're having a crap day @KymmieL. Fortunately, you'll find that tomorrow (or even the rest of today. It's still morning out West) has even more opportunities. One of them will be perfect.

Something you might try:  My therapist is making me keep a gratefulness journal. A couple of times I week, I'm to record, in detail, something good that happened to me that I'm grateful for. While I already hate it, I can see where it would help to lift my mood. Maybe give it a go?

Hugs!

Ow, ow, ow!  My wife and I got our shingles shots today.  We both had chickenpox as kids, so we are vulnerable to shingles if the virus ever chose to wake up.  Now my arm is about as sore as for a tetanus shot.

I had an appointment with a pelvic floor physiotherapist yesterday.  I tried some of the exercises today.  It is too early to say if it will help with my stalled GCS recovery, but I have to try.  I am her first trans post-op patient, but she was cool.  If it really is a pelvic floor issue, the physiology is pretty much the same for everyone, so I am not worried about her being inexperienced.

@KymmieL, I am sorry you had a rotten day.  I hope it gets better.

The most important thing for anyone in a marriage, partnership, or simple co-habitation. You're not the only one transitioning, your spouse, partner, and others sharing your close life experiences are having to transition their thoughts and frame of mind about you and the person you're becoming. I know my Suzie gives me the side eye from time to time and is adjusting to the new me.

Good afternoon everyone, I had my DOT Physical this afternoon and the doctor pointed out that my weight dropped 33 pounds since the last physical, and my hair is wonderfully long and wavy silver. I'm not out to them yet but I think they're starting to question.

Life if good here,

Mindy???

Good evening to you as well @Mmindy   That is awesome that you have support from her side. My dad has communicated with me once and that was because he was forced to. His new wife wanted to spend time with my kids. He hated me so much he was in the process of taking my rights away as a parent to my two boys. He was talking to a lawyer and I called him out on it. I don't love him at all. I'll respect him because I wouldn't be here without him but I wished I had another father. My uncles don't talk to me and unfriended me on Facebook. Almost all cousins except for two are still Facebook friends but they don't give me any support. My mom said she won't support me with that but she has said that she loves me. I have nieces and nephews that are still Facebook friends but they have yet to talk to me. I have one sister that supports me out of three. The other's disrespect me by deadnaming me. They have never called me their sister. I think for them they think it's still a phase. They don't ask questions about me being trans. I have to bring it up and on the look of their faces they don't look comfortable about it.

Good evening @Ashley0616,   I just got offline with HP tech support trying to get my printer tool box icon locked to my tool bar. This is one of the most important features of my printer that I like because it keeps track of ink, paper, and scanned documents. I'm diffidently not a computer geek.   I'll catch up with the other bookmarks next week. We leave to go home for the Easter Holiday with our families. Saturday with her side, and Sunday with my side. What's odd about that is I'm out to more of her side and they're reluctantly supportive. My side on the other hand are less supportive, and my sister just under me in age will not acknowledge my being there. She will be constantly moving to keep from dealing with me. I'm dead to her.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I used to follow baseball and the team I would cheer for is Boston Red Sox. My favorite player was Papi. He was an awesome guy and even held a child during the National Anthem. I haven't watched baseball for a long time. It just died off to me.
    • Ashley0616
That stinks that nothing transferred, and no bookmarks were saved!

I'm doing patches for now but I think soon I'll go to shots because it's hard to alternate when you are doing two xx patches at once. Unless she gives me Estradiol and progesterone

My view is we are "dependent" on government, because as a society, we are too lazy to stay actively involved. So, we let politicians do our bidding for us.  I think we'd be in a better place government wise if we policed the actions of our politicians.  We elected them; they work for us.  Sadly, we are allowing them to run amok.  We are where we are because we have chosen to let politicians make all decisions without us.  Remember "by the people, for the people?" That was the intent of our democracy.  Today, however, it is "by the politicians, for the politicians," the people be damned.

"Play Ball! Batter Up!" is the closing line of the National Anthem as far as I'm concerned. It's the call of the Home Plate Umpire and signals the start of the game. I grew up in the TV and Radio broadcast of the St. Louis Cardinals. Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Tim McCarver, and Mike Shannon, were the voices on my transistor radio. KMOX 1120 AM pushing 50,000 watts of Class A clear-channel non-directional signal. It could be picked up all across MO, IL, IN to the East. KS, OK, CO to the West. IA, MN to the North, and KY, TN, AR to the South. There has always been a rivalry against the Chicago Cubs, in the National League. As for the American League, I have to pull for the Kansas City Royals. I've also been a Little League Umpire, and fan of everything the Little League stands for. Going to Williamsport, PA and seeing the Little League World Series is in my top 10 things to do on my bucket list.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good evening everyone,   I don't think my mother ever cooked a meal that I didn't like. We also had a kitchen where mom fixed the food, dad filled your plate, and you eat it. It wasn't until our baby brother was born that we could have Pop-Tarts for snacks. Before that all snacks had to meet mom's approval, and in her opinion wouldn't prevent you from eating supper.   Well my day started off on a good note, but has become frustrating because my IT person didn't transfer my saved videos I use for teaching. Then I found out that they didn't save any of my book marks for websites I use frequently.   Best wishes, stay motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

The number is relative to method of deliver, the time of the dose, and when the blood is drawn. However, I do want to keep away from DVT and other potential issues. I assume I may be getting backed down from my current dose, but my doc told me to stick with the higher dose, so? I also wonder if this has anything to do the my breast growth and mental changes that have been happening over the past few years, like I have some estrogen sensitivity so a little goes a long way or something? I don't have enough data to postulate, but who knows!   With weekly, subcutaneous, shots you expect to see big swings of serum level estradiol from shot to peak to trough. My doctor is interested in mid-week testing (for E and T levels only), which would be post-peak blood serum levels but they will be higher than trough. Most, if not all, resources I've seen online is to measure at trough (which I might do just to do it next time) along with a SHBG, LH, and other metrics.   This is from transfemscience.org for Estradiol valerate in oil, which is very spiky compared to some other estradiol combinations. It's also for intramuscular, which will have a slower uptake and is usually dosed in higher volume due to the slower absorption rate from muscles. They don't have subcutaneous numbers, which I would expect to see similar spikes but higher levels at similar doses due to the relatively higher absorption rate direct from fat.   Are you doing pills, shots, or patches? And when you do get your levels checked are you getting that done when your levels are lowest or some other time?

Both of my parents were from the “North Shore” of Boston.  My mother Lynn and my father Swampscot.  They had an early 1900s Scots-Irish New England diet.  My sister and I were born in the 40s in Ohio well away from New England seafood and in an area where food was more German and Polish.  My first experience with liver and onions was during basic training.  They ate salt cod but never forced us to eat it same with oysters.  My dad ate oysters but my mother wouldn’t.  Anyone who ever ate an oyster can figure that one out.  I grew up eating lamb.  My wife won’t touch it. I love brazed ox tail, again no way. And the list goes on.

My mother was German, so yes, I think it was a cultural thing.  If I'd known you when we were cleaning out my mother's place, I could have sent you her "threat jar".

Wow that is a high number for Estradiol good grief! Testosterone levels are better than mine. I don't remember my Estradiol level but testosterone was 80. To me that is really high but it was in the two hundreds the check in before last one.
