So happy to hear @KymmieL! I'm joining in your happy dance and I hope your journey on E brings you much joy.

@Willow I'm happy to hear you and your wife had a positive conversation! I agree, the more my partner and I talk things through, the closer our relationship feels.

@CD Rachel I'm so sorry to read this. I hope you and your wife can talk through your feelings together. Stay strong, I'm sending positive energy your way!

Today was a pretty good day, all things considered. A lot of positive conversations at work with clients. One of them told me I had a very reassuring phone voice. So I asked her what it was she liked about my voice - she said she liked how I spoke quietly and like a "soft melody" in her words (I'm not out to any clients). I have been working on my speaking voice but this was so uplifting to hear! In other news, I was disappointed to have to send the skirt suit I recently ordered back because the jacket didn't fit right at all. Also rescheduled my next electrolysis appointment to heal more from the last one (I mentioned that in another thread). Tonight I'm looking forward to a quiet evening, I have so many shows in my streaming video queues that I may never see the end of it!

Love,

~Audrey.

With the Estradot, each patch is about 1" x 3/4".

That may have been the brand I used a few years ago. I was guesstimating the size of my patches from back then but this sound like the same patch I once used. I will request that brand next refill unless Kymmie’s patches are smaller in size. If anyone else is using patches and they are smaller than my current 2” x 2” circles, I would love to hear from you. I was taking E caps and I sort of enjoy the freedom now of not having to take multiple daily pills....at least for now. I think my PCP like me on patches too due to my age.

Thanks @Jackie C. and @KathyLauren!

Congrats.  Hope to get all you want from them.  Start ordering the batch super early so you won't be delayed.

@Susan R I'm on Climara brand patches and the smallest one was tiny.  Once I started with the larger sizes in multiples I use tape to protect them from pealing off by my underwear rubbing.  I use this product that I buy on Amazon.  I just cut to length and round off the edges.   it works really well and a roll lasts a long time.

Thanks, Bri. I hope to get the same experience. Will be going for piercings end of nxt week.

Well Kiara, I think most of us would gladly take a little extra boobage. I read cardio exercise shrinks fat from breasts. Good luck.

Rachael, I'm sorry to hear about your marriage. I can't even imagine how you feel. I shudder to think of it. Hang in there. You ARE worth it.

YAY Kimmie !!! Congrats.

Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement. While I haven't officially measured it. but it is about 3/4 x 1 1/2.

There is defiantly something my wife has on her mind. Lately she jumps down my throat for no reason. Tonight she just looked POed about something of course asking what is wrong gets me the standard answer, nothing.

OH, Well. Ce le ve .

I got my E finally. Still happy girl. @Mmindygotta be a dress raising spin.

OH, well. I just got an email that the Cat dealer has moved on and I was not selected. I think the evidence specialist is also a no go. I am still on the search.

I appreciate this, Jani, This is the waterproof cover you place over the top of your patches I assume as you’ve obviously had it on during a shower. This would seem to be a much less expensive way to cover my patches if this is the case.

Thanks Kymmie, That seems to be about the smallest size out there in an E patch.

Thanks for sharing this info ladies,

Good Morning! I had enough hours in at work to take today off. Slept in a little later than usual. Coffee is wonderful.

It is so exciting to hear about all of you on HRT. It's a step that I can't take right now. I am happy for everyone!

Have a wonderful day!

This is sleeping in? What is it: 4am in IL? lol

I slept in as well because the wind chill is 10 degrees so the morning dog walk was a no go and my wife knows to let me sleep. She just took her out to pee and back in. Our dog is a chihuahua/pug mix so her cold tolerance is about the same as mine.  She ran back upstairs to snuggle back in bed with me. Of course, cold paws on me don't facilitate a continued deep sleep.  haha

Still, I refused to get out from the warm covers for another 30 minutes.

Then my amazing wife brought me my first cup of coffee to me in bed so.....more warm covers time. I love lazy starts to the day.

I will have to venture forth momentarily though, the rest of the coffee is downstairs. sigh....

On a work day I wake at 3am, so 4am is nice treat for me! All my life, I have been a morning person. Yes, I know that is sounds strange, but I am different in many ways!

No, it's 5 just feels like 4am.

@AudreySorry to hear the outfit didn't fit right. It's usually the shoulders and arm that cause me issues.

I was feeling overly emotional yesterday. My E dosage was changed a couple months ago so I suspect it's finally catching up to me. Makes me wonder if that also means my transition timeline now has a "new" starting point. I would be very happy to have more changes. Despite what people tell me, my mirror says I haven't changed that much. That feels like a double sided statement......

(Sorry I don't have time finish this thought,  need to get ready for work.)

Well I got some good news thought I'd share this AM. Been off from my PT delivery job since last Friday due excessive rain & cold here in Georgia but also discovered, via a missed email dated Jan 11th, that I'm off Dr Powers' wait-list and can make a first appointment as soon as my Humana insure card arrives, having just signed up on Tues.

Not only did I get an Advantage PPO for FREE but am getting a monthly $50 rebate off my $148 SS A/B deduction as well! Go Figure since when are insurance companys ever really helpful, forgiving or nice?

Wee shall see! Dr Powers also requires an annual cash $300 "out-of-state fee" which can pay via paypal and while listed "in-network" he's "specialty" too so will see what THAT means . . lol have found bonus cash to play with?

Daughter and kids moved OUT this week, just around the corner, am upset 'bout that too as her and her mother (my "ex") were butting heads constantly so hopefully just temporary . .

Workin' on the "ex going next"?

Good morning

sipping my coffee and catching up.

we went from our warmest day thus far in 21 to the coldest in January record in two days.  Not nice Mother Nature.  Lots of patch’s and dancing going on.  It’s my injection day today.  I wasn’t as depressed yesterday so things must be leveling out.

 Back later.

Kiera, That's awesome news. I also have Humana choice advantage. Like you, I just found an "in network" LGBTQ qualified specialist. It took a lot of searching. Humana's search engine is worthless for people like us. They changed my primary care physician to Dr. Adam Houghton right on the phone. I've found Humana people to be very nice on the phone. Specialist means higher copay. Hopefully better care also. I can call for my first appointment on Feb. 3rd. They are sending me a new card with his name on it.

Hey did you know your plan comes with "Silver Sneakers" ?  I belong to 2 gyms for free with this. If not sure if you are eligible for this, go to Silver Sneakers website and type in your name and it will tell you. You will have to sign up to get a number that you give to gym.

Best of luck. Jamie

23 this morning, which is a bit chilly for us.    Fortunately I got a load of firewood yesterday, so it’s coffee by the wood stove for me.  I should cut back on the cherry turnovers though.    They’re making me fat.
It is sunny though, which helps fight depression.
I’ll need to go to the laundromat today since I’m about out of clean undies.   It’s a good chance to catch up on some reading.

Hope everyone has a good day.

I wish I had known about this when I was still on the birth control patch! I had so many time where I'd have to worry about it peeling off. This would have been so helpful!

I had a big chest before I gained all the weight and I now I have entirely too much. I really need to get back out there and get rid of the rest of this extra weight already. I really wish it would warm up a bit so I could start walking again at least.

My anxiety has me feeling so scattered right now that it's hard to focus. I've been trying to keep up with all the posts, but it's been very difficult lately. I have my interview later this morning so once that's done it's one thing off my plate, but last night we discovered that we have mice in the kitchen. I ended up spending my night gutting cabinets and scrubbing everything down and just generally being angry about the whole thing. We live on the second floor and we keep everything fairly clean so it's just that much more frustrating that they made it this far. I was so exhausted by the end of the night that I couldn't even work on getting ready for my interview this morning.

It's wonderful to hear so many of you are on HRT. I didn't know the patches came in so many shapes and sizes! I really love hearing all your positive news. It's those little things that give me hope for the future. I'll just be here, lurking in the background, cheering everyone on.

Jandi, I love the smell of a wood fireplace. Sitting with a warm cup of liquid and staring into the fire is like going to heaven. Someday I hope to have one. Right now I have to dream.

Have a great day.

Yes.  it is waterproof.  I use it primarily because it seems as I move my clothing will rub just enough to curl the edges and peeling them off.  This stops this from happening.   They stay attached well.

Jani, That is exactly what I am looking for. The peeled up edges of the exposed part of the patch are where the water gets in when the waterproof bandaid is slightly too small. I’m ordering a roll today.

Thank You,

@Jani I was going to add... This tape you recommended looks very similar to the material used to cover my small scars under my arms where they inserted my breast implants. That stuff was great! It was like a second skin it stuck to well.

@Willow You should know that mother nature is a pure B-tch. '

Jandi, Just the thought of coffee by the wood stove makes me smile. I agree it would be heaven.

With the help of my bipap I was able to sleep in. Not much as the wife wants me to fix her cars door.  Then the youngest wants me to go with him to the body shop to get an estimate.

Take care all. Of course I shall return.

I have heard that getting those 'feelings' is not a universal experience, but for me it happened and I hadn't read much about that aspect of it so thinking it was real and not just a placebo effect.
    • RhondaS
Today will be the first time since May 30th when I can have my morning tea (sorry, coffee fans) at home, have a second cuppa later, and it was very weird to go from barely going far from home since last March to never being there for half a month with no notice.    Anyway, I did have an occasional discussion of transgender issues and also gender roles while away with a mix of people who know about me and those that don't.    Couple highlights...having one of my mother's newer friends accidentally refer to me as my mother's daughter, that was nice to hear at least once if it was quickly apologized.    And then my son-in-law (who I 'came out to' by telling my daughter that she could tell him everything she wanted to, just that I was emotionally spent to do it right after her) dropping in a proper pronoun of me that I almost missed it and actually asked if he did so the next day. (yes).

Hi All,   Today I noticed I've become a 'senior member' on this site...😠   Not happy at all, makes me feel instantly old. 😄   I still feel so young in this journey...   Just today, I went out to 'test the waters' with a new (too expensive) Gaff I bought from the UK. Turned out...It wasn't the Holy Grail.😒   I put it on over a high waisted tummy control panty Over that the gaff...then don a (leave nothing to the imagination) pair of just above the knee Yoga pants.   And I was quite happy it look flat enough up front so I went out with more abandon.   I visited 3 markets without any discernible 'clocking'. Got a (non German reference) "hun" from one of the checkout ladies which I took it as I passed. Was wearing a crop tank top and a white translucent cotton shirt over so I suppose looked like a cover up over Athletic wear...   Later though when I returned, was comfortably seated with my legs bunched and tucked up for lunch on a chair when I looked down and noticed (Horror of horror) still a good size bulge.😳   I just can't seem to flatten it fully without resorting to tape which I hate and avoid.😞   I think I'm doing the right thing with the canals but maybe my testicle friends are too heavy or what bc they seem to never stay up....always falling for gravity.   Anyone think I might be not employing the Gaff to its full optimum? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?🤔   ...or is this common with everyone and does a more visually 'water tight' tuck mean having to tape when wearing skin hugging item of clothing anyway? Am I just being too slack reliant on gaff alone to do the work?   (Maybe this should be in the crossdresser section)   I'm contemplating the ills and benefits of an Orchiectomy (still yet to get on HRT) but till then, I'm obsessed with hiding the pair of them. They bother me but I don't want to hurt them either.🙄

I am sorry you are having to deal with depression and I wish I had and answer for you. I deal with compulsive over eating disorder and at times I will binge eat for weeks until it subsides. The last few years  have been really hard and with covid quarantine on top of that I have put on so much weight even I can't believe it. I just can't control it and at times don't care if I get fatter. Working with a nutritionist but she is so backed up with patients and in the process of moving so its not working out. Are you being treated by professional that deals with depression?

...the funny thing is I've always dressed somewhat neutral/femme so people around me tend to think its just me being eccentric.   Today my sister warned me to tone down maybe fall back on dungarees if I was going to visit my cousin (She's a great cook had 12 kids or something ridiculous) in Northern Cali.🤭   But I reminded her that cousin was on my facebook and I have been posting pics of me in yoga pants...galore. Surely she must have put two and two together...🤔   I have half a mind now to show up in a dress.😁

Hey y’all. I’m planning on coming out as trans at my workplace soon. I only plan on coming out to my department for now, as the rest of the company is elderly cis straight religious men and I feel that they will react poorly.   Many of my coworkers have suspicions of me being queer, and have voiced them, so it won’t be coming out of nowhere. The company I work at has, as far as I’m aware, never had a trans employee and I’m sure it’ll be tough, but I’m sick and tired of the closet.   any advice? What issues or obstacles do y’all think I should expect?    Thank y’all so much for your help! - River     P.S. Do y’all think that bringing a cake when I tell them would be a bad idea? We bring food for our department regularly so I thought maybe it’d be a good idea. Let me know what you think please?

Hi Vini,   You know what I've found gives me decent 'form' without prejudice to comfort is Dungarees. 🤗   I'm personally allergic to Denim so I get light cloth/cotton types that have a slight flare around the hips accentuating them.   I don't need to be as careful with my tuck which is another benefit.😄   But today I went out with a new B&B Gaff (from the UK...bloody expensive as they say)....and the whole purpose was to test the water with a pair of tight just above the knee (Leave not much to imagination) yoga shorts.😬   It seemed a better flat look than my previous "gaff" so I went out with a bit more abandon. (what you don't know sometimes emboldens you and makes you fearless)😌   OTOH when back at the house following replenishment mission (99cents, supermarket, Trader Joes) to restock fridge and larder raided by Teenagers... I was sitting with my legs bunched up and looked down to notice there was still a bulge which was annoying, another sign of dysphoria.   I still can't seem to be completely satisfied with the flatness (without having to resort to masochistic taping which I avoid)😓   ...but of course somewhat expected I suppose, since I was 'testing the boundaries'.   Still when I was out, I had the checkout lady at the market call me "Hun" (and not the German kind) so I reckon it was a pass till I of course opened my big mouth.🙄   Cest La Vie.

❤️Thanks everyone. I'll definitely wear heels next time. My knees are a little achy from another weekend of yard work so I wore the other boots. I'm feeling better now. No compliments, their loss. They could've seen me smile. I think everyone was in a crappy mood today. Maybe it's the retrograde.

How drastically my life changed for the better. Prior to this I was regularly miserable despite having gone through therapy and couldn't understand why I still felt the way that I did. Coming to terms with myself and coming out as a whole has dramatically improved my social and personal life overall. I would never take back embracing myself for who I am no matter what

Hello hello. My name is Michael and I'm pretty new to the TransPulse forums, hence the introduction here in case you haven't figured that out lol. I've been a part of the LGBT community for a handful of years now (5 or so), though only really broke out of my eggshell as transgender within the past year. Prior to that, I was in extreme denial and did everything in my power to try to convince myself I was a ciswoman (spoiler alert! it didn't work). However, after getting my act together come this past November, I've since embraced being who and what I really am, that being a man trapped inside a woman's body.   Outside of the community, I'm just your average white dude who obsesses over cameras and writing really. I have a strong passion for anything to do with cameras or video editing, as well as writing as a whole. I enjoy going out on adventures during the night time as well as spending time with close company.    I hope to meet some new faces along the way here with my time on the forum, and am glad to be a part of such

Came out to my 3 sisters and my 2 sons. Still need to with my 2 brothers and 2 daughters. Got great response from all who I have talked with.  2 of my sisters opened their home to me so my wife can have some reflection time. Been here since Saturday and am going home tomorrow. They have been great support for me and are spoiling their their new found sister. I have never been this complete in my whole life. I am getting ready for bed soon in my new black and pink jammies. Have my nails done and a whole bunch of new clothes.   I still am hoping my wife will start to accept who I am. I am hoping my remaining siblings and children. I think most of them will be ok.   HUGS Stefi
