Congratulations @Elizabeth Star!!! Now to get the certified copies and to do the fun process that I am in. Let the game of bureaucracy begin!

I will happily wait in line and navigate the red tape. The anxiety of waiting to get this point was a killer. Now that the anxiety has passed I'm really hungry.

Oh and you probably going to be seeing a lot of pictures of my chickens.

Despite being hung up on the incident with my flock, I've had other things happen. I saw our VP yesterday. I apologized again for the clothing incident from last week. She sincerely understood but also reminded me that women are taught from a very young age the when and wheres, can and cannots of clothing.

I am so sorry about your flock - that must be devastating!  I've lost so many animal friends, and it hurts so much.  I recently had to say goodbye to my cat Darwin, who couldn't eat any longer because of cancer of the mouth.

Your VP is so right!  I am grateful to my wife, who won't let me leave the house if I have inadvertantly broken some dress rule I did no know existed.

Congrats, but you've always been @Elizabeth Star to me, so don't see what the fuss is all about. ?

Beautiful weather here somehow last night so went on a long walk, and people about everywhere and it's weird that I seem to like people more the more I like myself. Old dog, new trick.

One of Mrs' old friends dropped by yesterday, said I'm looking younger with my longer hair, I didn't mention it may be a side effect of some little blue pills I'm taking.

Up early. Lots of healing rest yesterday, but I'm feeling too hyper. I need less coffee I think. Maybe a walk will do. Thanks for the suggestion @RhondaS.

Have a fine day, all.

@Elizabeth Star congrats. I had mine changed and kept last name on June 15 and Amber M changed hers on June 8. I guess that makes us the June Ladies Squad.

Good morning everyone,

I've been so stressed-out for the last couple weeks. Mostly due to court to get my name corrected. You never know what may be hiding in you past, waiting for that right moment to show up. Adding Monday's horror show to the mix just pushed me over the edge for a few days.

Court was pretty much a circus. I feel so bad for the judges. So many people have no idea how to act, be prepared or present themselves. Having things done via zoom just compounds the issue. Mine was the 7th or 8th case and at that point mine was the only one that was resolved. I was dressed, had a face on and silently paid attention until I was called. At one point The judge is trying to get someones attention. "You, with the ceiling fan. Unmute you computer". I'm  looking at the screen thinking could it be me? I have a ceiling fan in view, on my screen. So I start pointing to myself. The judge say no, not you Ms. *********. He called me Ms., I must be doing something right. When  my case came up it so easy. I was sworn-in. Judge apologized that he was required to ask me some questions. I answered a few yes or no questions and that was it, all done.

In my excitement I posted about it on one of the social media pages I follow. I've already received hundreds of likes and loves, and they're still coming in but the one person closest to me will not even acknowledge it happened. To be honest, I'm feeling heart broken and crushed. Wonder why I don't talk about myself to her anymore. I haven't even told her about the clothing incident at work. She says I'm rubbing the fact I'm trans in her face, screaming it from a mountain top, it's all I talk about and I want all eyes on me. It's the farthest from the truth. I know I have a bit of a creepy dark side but that's always been my thing. Otherwise I just want to be like any other woman.

I spent yesterday afternoon working on the chicken coop and run. The current plan is for an 8x8 run covered in hardware cloth. Remove the current run from the coop. Replace the plastic roof, better hardware cloth on the windows and upgrade all the latches. It's raining today so I have no idea how much I'll get done. Worse case I'll get a little wet.

I thought the attack on my girls was a little odd. Just by what I found. I favorite one was well, just decimated and my wife's favorite was unharmed. The others were just killed. Although it's probably just coincidental I wanted to explore other possibilities. Just the night before I had started clearing some small trees, bushes and debris from a little forested area in my yard for my meditation place. Part of me felt I may have upset something in the balance and this was my payback. I presented this on another group I follow. There are 17,500 others in the group and not a single one suggested anything other than a random animal attack. Some even laughed at me for looking for a spiritual significance. I'm steadily losing faith in people to see anything in this world other than what's right in their face.

A big congratulatory hug to all the ladies with official names now!!

I am almost done riding myself of old dead names usage in my life.  The list is soooooo long of things to get changed over.  Still have Life insurance to deal with on the official side and waiting for my passport but all proper paperwork submitted there.  My biggest challenge are my emails/google accounts and stuff.  I have new ones but they don't let you migrate old accounts to new ones.  That's a challenge because I have so much legacy stuff where those old email accounts are the points of contact and I know I won't remember all of them so they are still active and getting spam mail every day that I have to check.  I'm working on slowly moving all my google docs and calendar stuff to the new accounts but you literally have to copy the files and paste into a new file or it is still "owned" by the dead name account and just shared with you. I seriously wish I hadn't put my entire biz on google right now. lol. Same with Yahoo.  they were who I am hosting and own website/domain names with.  Getting them transferred is such a pain and I can't let those renewals/registrations lapse.  Oh well, I will probably be dealing with this for years.....

Good morning

I am in the customer service waiting area at my local Jeep dealer.  Turns out Jeep is aware of a bad fuel issue with the Jeep ecodiesel.  It’s apparently related to the pipeline shutdown.  @Elizabeth Star yes the problem came up early but it’s from the initial fill up.

Another thing, I got DUCKED!  It’s a Jeep thing.  If someone sees your Jeep and really likes it, they give you a duck.

@Jackie C. my most natural voice is just below the lowest female range.  However, my clearest voice is in the female range, I just have to practice using it until it comes natural.  That’s reall my biggest issue right now, not getting there but remembering to use it.  I forget then called Sir at drive thrus can’t fault them for that.  BTW I’m home now.

have a great day

First, congratulations to everyone getting top or bottom surgeries as the case maybe.

congratulations on the official name changes.

and anything else I missed I’m sorry I missed it.  I haven’t had lots of time what with moving out of our home into a storage unit for up to 6 months.  We will be homeless.  Sleeping on ur boat, at our daughters house and begging a couch here and there.  The attic is down to five things.  Unneeded clothes will be packed today.  Unwanted clothes like stained and or torn work shirts will be tossed or given to goodwill or Salvation Army depending upon condition.

I don’t recall if I mentioned the color but here’s the duck.

Reading that article, it seems like the attorney general gets to call it whatever unless its an outright lie.  Given the nature of politics in CA, it seems like one side has the bully pulpit for sure.  Labeling it "Restricts Rights" vs "Protects Kids" is very much a matter of perspective.  Unfortunately, that matters since many voters don't bother to read.  Perhaps a better (unbiased) way to handle it would be to simply give the ballot measure a number with no title, forcing folks to read it.    I think it would have been better to handle the various issues covered by the ballot measure separately, rather than all at once.  For example, issues relating to disclosure of medical and social information to parents.  That could be its own ballot measure, rather than lumped in with everything else.  Besides, shorter and more succinct measures are more likely to be read completely.

This reminded me of an individual who, due to child sexual abuse, lived as a woman for 15 years, detransitioned and noisily insists that all trans people have his story.  His name comes up fairly often because it fits the narrative.   I don't know that anyone actually has been railroaded.  People may say it, they may look back at what happened and decide that happened.  It's a he said / she said, but it feeds a narrative that is useful for those who are already convinced that trans people are abuse victims first and foremost.  That the detransition rate is so low tells me that railroading is not actually a problem, and I regret giving the impression that I thought it was.  That so few detransition is a success story.   What is pertitent at heart is that people hear and believe all the stories out there, and the story we have to tell is not heard, because TG folk are, after all, untrustworthy in their view and unworthy of an audience.  Somehow it needs to get out there as to what the real situation is.

I'm not saying that Christianity is wrong but at the same time there were more than 30,000 changes to it. The Bible doesn't state anything against transgender. The only point that can be proven by them is that people are giving into their desire. 1 John 2:15-17 ESV "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever." I would love to challenge them by asking who watches a movie, reads books, and listens to music that isn't Christian based because then they would be guilty as well. 1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Probably not a single hand would still stand that they don't participate in everything they do gives glory to God. "

@Abigail GenevieveSomewhere in the Forums here, we have a link to the World Professional Association for Transgender Health's Standards Of Care, now at revision 8 but it is available in plenty of places.   https://www.wpath.org/soc8.    These are the canons for the allied medical fields that deal with Trans people and are the guidance for those professionals.  I personally know members of the Association and have toyed with the idea of becoming an associate member since I am not a medical professional but because I like to keep on top of what is going on medically.  There are a number of Trans people who think they are overly oppressive as far as the gatekeeping goes, but the medical / psychological profession members who follow these guidelines for there patients WILL NOT be forcing their patients into unneeded or harmful surgery or medications.  I read my first pitiful and heart-rending  "detransitioning" story 60 years ago when I snuck a tabloid newspaper behind a comic book down at the neighborhood convenience store when I was 16 years old and reading it off the rack which should have been adult only.  I am afraid that it was the first thing I ever read that told me about Trans and Transsexual people, it would be another 30 years before I actually figured out my own story.  The story I later found out, was NOT written by a Trans person, but a well known Porn scribbler who wrote many fantastic and gory stories about what he thought Trans people were.  We are not anything like his imagination, but he was a "press agent" for Trans people of the time.  We do have some well known and noisy, negative view Detransitioners who have been found to have gone to multiple psychologists and lied their way Transitioning, one of the most infamous actually hid Dissociative Identity Disorder, right therapist wrong Identity that was being counseled.  It is a messy story.  The public, like my first encounter, was NOT getting their information from the scientific journals of the time, they were getting it from Adult Entertainment and Tabloids   We need to be careful of where we get some of our ideas from. Evidence is good that the person at the heart of this thread gets most of his information from us from the slanted and non-scientific sources most people get theirs.   OOPs, I( may have sent this off track here, but but but.

Well the VA tried setting me up with another appointment with laser even though they won't cover it? This just doesn't make sense. Back to the waiting game on electrolysis. I'm in a area that doesn't do much of that. There is one place that covers face only. There is another one that looks like they do it in their home. Other than that it's it for nearby. I don't think they are wanting to do it due to how expensive it's going to be. Typical VA stuff dragging their feet.

'right-wing playbook'?   I have read detransitioning stories in which the detransitioner felt they were pushed into transitioning.  My point is that people should neither be inappropriately kept back or inappropriately pushed to transition.  I looked for the story but in the time I had I found this interesting article https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-transyouth-outcomes/   If someone detransitions they should not be rejected.  It is hard enough to transition once.  I hate to think what these people are going through, and the reception they get from the TG folk.  Need to do a better job.
