@Charlize I guess I’ve been looking in the wrong places, I haven’t seen many posts.  That pie sure looks good!  It took me years to start getting a crop of berrys worth picking, sold my house and the new owners tore them all out!  I had several varieties so they weren’t all ripe at once, one or two bushes each depending on pollination requirements.  Some were big berries and some average but they were all good.

Who would DO that? I'm sorry, but you apparently sold your house to sociopaths.

Hugs!

Surely they weren't staring at me because I'm trans. It must have been my unstoppable beauty that caught their eye, ?.

I have that problem too. We're glorious and people can see the light shining out from within. Then they think, "Hey! Why is THAT person all shiny when I'm over here being miserable?" Then they stare because they just HAVE to figure out why you're so special.

It's a burden, I know, but what are you going to do?

I mean besides own it of course. ?

My wife's developing a new attitude towards life. She knows she doesn't much time left so she's speaking her mind. A lot of which is making her a better person.

I need to get to this place myself.  I've always been one to keep my thoughts and opinions to myself - very non-confrontational.  Oh well…

Gonna head into town and hit the farmers market in a bit.  Thanks to my deer neighbors, there's not much left of my garden.

And the squirrels keep destroying my bird feeders.

I mean, you try to be nice, and they treat you like this!

@Bri2020that's amazing news. They say it's always darkest before the dawn, and as dark as it's been for most of us, I feel like there's many bright dawns ahead of us.

Really? Wow, thank you Alice. I'm glad I could inspire you.

@Elizabeth Star and think of the luck you had with the jeep. You didn't need to shower afterwards. :)

I know, right? I though it was amusing, my wife not so much. I'm sure we'll laugh about it later or at least I will.

good for her. we can learn from that....speaking her mind. seems we are getting more afraid to do that because we might 'offend' someone unknowingly. we should never let the media or anyone try to make us feel bad about ourselves when we are not doing anything or saying anything wrong. i think that's a big reason i like working with rescued animals. because they don't judge you...they love and trust you. thank you. :)

I think a lot of people have been using this place https://precisionhairremoval.com/.

It's kinda funny. I'm only 45 minutes from them but have yet to find myself using their services.

That’s who I was thinking of.  Maybe we can have coffee sometime when I fly out

After seeing what the new owners did to my grandparents' house - they basically took a home and turned it into an obnoxious fortress, cutting down trees, building high walls around the garden... -  I learned that once you sell a home you should never set eyes on it again.

That's fair, I won't even drive down the street where my grandparent's house was. I did a lot of growing up in that house and it killed me that I didn't have the cash to straight-up buy it from my uncle before he could sell it.

? It was my uncle who sold it as well, because neither my mother nor me had the money to buy it

Hi,

safely made it to our daughters house.  I haven’t finished with the car yet. It’s down to the this just got thrown in so if you touch it, it and four more things will fall out.  That’s what happens when it’s late, you are tired and it just has to be over.

@Jackie C. yes I think they were wacko to take them out like that but I think I was a bit crazy to have sold that house.  Oh well, that was 5 years ago, can’t cry over lost berries.

we stopped at a roadside market in North Carolina and bought a bag of peaches.  They’ve been hit and miss so I think it’s peach pie time. For the rest of them.

I can definitely tell you I am glad to be out of the car for a while.  Don’t get me wrong it rides and drives nice, I just glad to be stationary.

a couple weeks or so here then off to see our son and daughter-in-law, an old friend in Ohio, and Jamie, Kymmie and Jamie.  Well we’ll see I’m not sure how that will go with my wife.

I know how you feel.  My uncle sold my grandparents' house for a paltry $20K, at a time when I was making enough money to have bought it, but I ddn't know he was selling it.  When I was shopping for my first home, it was on the market, so I checked it out.  It was going for $300K, and the new owners had messed it up so badly it would have taken another $300K just to fix it.  It was originally for three families that were all close together, with various connections between the apartments, bt the new owners just wanted a rent machine, so they severed all the connections and made the laundry room accessible to everyone by adding a hallway downstairs that cut off the downstairs kitchen from its' only window.

Over the last few days I've noticed my wife has referring to me as her partner. She had made it clear I will always be her husband but that appears to have recently changed. First she did it on a Facebook post, then when making an appt with a new dentist and yet again while on the phone with her cousin. I know she was trying to use "significant other" for a bit but honestly that's a lot of syllables and way too much to write. I've always felt that "husband and wife" was too gendered and implied certain roles in a marriage. To me, partner is stronger and deeper then "married" It also has that air about it that implies a same-sex couple.

@Bri2020 PHR is where I go.  I've had 4 days of sessions so far and another one scheduled in September.  Almost slept through the last one.

As I was sitting on the porch this morning enjoying my coffee and the beautiful day, I was reminded of just how much joy I felt this past weekend.  I have been so full of fear and shame for 50+ years, and through working with my GT, have been able to slowly put those away.  On Friday I had my hair done at a salon by a beautiful person that did not judge me for being feminine, and in fact gave me a stern lecture to not even think anything other than who I am.  She made a point to get my name corrected in the computer.  Wow, I had not felt so welcomed and accepted as I did on Friday.  Wouldn’t it be great if everyone was so full of love towards each other?

https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/several-attorneys-general-made-abusive-legal-demands-get-trans-patient-rcna147910     This is a complex issue and I'm no expert, but the actions of these GOP Attorney's General don't pass the smell test.  Their motivations and actions are highly suspect and they lack any credibility.  What else is new, right?  I guess it will all come out in the inevitable court fight.   Carolyn Marie

I went to work with my husband today.  He asked me this morning if I wanted to go...of course I said yes.  I enjoy being with him, and getting away from the house for a little while.  He spent half the day in his office, which I think is why he asked me along.  He made a nest in the corner for me, where I can plug in my laptop and do my stuff...nobody minds me being there.     But today ended up with a strange opportunity.  I had a conversation with my husband's boss, the company owner.  They want some basic graphic design work done, so I think they might hire me to do it.  Nothing fancy, not nearly as complicated as what I've attempted to do for our county.  So I have a meeting with them on Monday, just to look at some details and see if I can do the work they want.  And especially talk about when they need it done, because I still work pretty slowly.  I don't really need or want the money, but its nice to feel like I can do something again.

I went to WM today with the objective of buying sandals: they would be women's, but look like men's; they would be brown or black, not white.  I realized the cheapest way to go  was to go for flip-flops, which I observed were prevalent in the store. So I checked out the women's.  Flowers. White shiny straps. Nothing that could possibly be men's. The best deal was one flip flop for $3.98.  At first I thought that was a pair, then, nope.  And because I comparison shop (is there the same thing in men's?) I found the cheapest over there was $6.98 for a pair of flip flops in green that also match my women's cargo shorts that I love.  Doing the math, finding the pink tax.  Rip off.  I have found a blue tax this way, but usually they charge women more for something than they do men. I guess women tend to lose one flip flop at a time or something. Weird.  The pairs were a lot higher.   So, following my rule, but unhappy with it, I bought the green men's flip flops.  They were the cheapest.  Later wife of mine complimented how masculine I look in my matching shorts and flip-flops.  Inward groan. We have not discussed the Subject in a long time because I think she forgets it is there as soon as the conversation ends.  Or she is trying to talk me out of this.  Not sure.  We only discuss it when necessary, and how often do most couples discuss whether one spouse is one sex or the other? Outside of here, I mean.  So we very seldom talk about it and she is happier if she does not know about it. Super stealth.  I do the laundry and I shower in the shower in the wing away  from the master bed room so I have my own shower.

I'm very glad that everything worked out even better than you thought. It's a tough spot to be in and I know the exact feelings. I'm still waiting to apply for divorce under abandonment so I officially can meet someone who one day I can call someone my prince or my queen. Although the desire for someone is fading because of everything. it's even more amazing that she was your high school sweetheart! Looking forward to the next entry.

Awww thanks for listening everyone. I have another 5-6 songs in this style that I started recording at the same time, so hopefully I’ll finish the next release soon.   Yes, exactly. Everything was easier about this project, mainly because it felt authentic. The energy was very different, because it was such a pleasure to express myself without a filter. I laughed a lot.

Well I had an interview with the local Ford Dealership for an opening in the parts dept. It sounded positive. I was told I would here by tomorrow morning.    Other than that just sticking around the house. I haven't done much, the weather is cold and yucky. Doesn't look like good weather till Sunday. Maybe tomorrow I'll fire up the heater in the garage and see about getting the other brake hose put on the Explorer.   Have a good rest of your day/evening.   Hugs, Kymmie
