@Elizabeth Star I am so happy for you that you have found a loving, non-judge mental “family”.  As for your pride group leader wanting you to rsvp to inflate the attendance, that’s just wrong.  RSVP simply means “please reply” it doesn’t mean you are going, you could rsvp you aren’t going.  Lots of Americans miss use the French because they don’t really understand French.

good luck with the top surgery appointment.  And really, don’t get carried away.  My wife has complained for years that they strain her back.  She is a natural DD to an E.  Go with what looks good to you.

Very true about the use of RSVP. It seems the term is mostly used to indicate that you are indeed attending an event vs. going or not going.

A far as the size thing I am being realistic but did find it interesting that both the dr. and his (female) assistant made it a point to tell me to consider going bigger because they have never had anyone complain about being too big, only to small. Talk about timing, just got a notice from them. They got my second letter and are getting my information to the surgical scheduler. Guess they don't need the mammogram first.

I managed to get off of work early today so it's back the grind of cleaning out my house. It seems so overwhelming but it's probably because of all the big stuff I have to get out. OK, back to the grind.

As for cup size, don't worry about the letter.  Advice from my surgeon before I went in to him was this; Get a big liquid measuring container that has millileters on it. Fill it up with dry rice to about 350 mLs. put that in a plastic ziplock and get the air out and stick it in a bra. make another one. See how it looks with the bra and a cami top on.  Make one with 400 if it looked to small.  If it looked to big, take 50mLs out and repeat.  Play around until you get where you like it. once you think you are there, wear it like a breast form for a few days to see how you feel. Implants are measured in CCs/Milliliters. Most surgeons won't put more than 465cc ones in you. They also have profile shapes but the rice bag trick will get you pretty close.  Then when it's time to talk to your surgeon, you can tell them what you liked from a volume standpoint and they will break out their actual implants and do the same thing but trying different profiles and "fine tuning " the size.   actual breast forms for cross dressing and stuff won't help much unless you have virtually no breasts because they are too "formed" and won't mold around your existing breasts like the rice will.  I have a 38" chest and went with high profile 435cc implants. I started with almost no growth, probably a AA-A cup. from a "bra" standpoint is ended up almost a perfect "c" cup.  42" bust now.  Most days I am very happy with that size.  Some days I think I could have gone up a little more but I've never been unhappy with the moderate size.  I erred on the smaller limit of what I thought I would like because I got them exactly 1 year after starting HRT and I wanted to make sure if I grew more I wouldn't be too big.  I didn't really grow in the last 9 months since having them though.  I take that back, I think my left one grew some because it is definitely bigger and sits higher now.  Right before and after surgery there was a very small difference.

This surgeon's webpage has a great chart to help you guess where you will end up based on current size and implant size but remember, if you have a larger frame you will probably need the larger side of the range to achieve the result.

Went to a rally against HB454 Thursday morning downtown, my first. It was ok, pretty much what I expected and I think we generally couldn't help but having fun doing it even though the cause is serious.

Slowed down the brakes on my t4t relationship, as there just isn't the essential ingredients for anything more than friendship. I was pretty starved for affection, and things started to get quite complicated faster than I am ready for right now. Plus it triggers my dysmorphia. Seeing therapist weekly now to unpack this stuff and what it may mean for me going forward.

6 months in and my libido fell off a cliff, so I am assuming a long slow climb into adjusting to the rewiring, but just as I got into the relationship, now my feelings of pleasure are basically nil. Generally it feels like I am getting the full effect of HRT and adjusting until the next dosage bump, so it is more apparent now why we do this SLOWLY.

Very busy recently, but enjoying being out of the house for a change.

I don't know if anyone looks at r/MTF on Reddit, but I found this one funny as hell about what people call their unwanted parts down below.

Good Saturday morning

Well maybe.  I went to the teen group last night.  Several first time attendee’s.  The group is definitely growing.  The leader brought a fire pit, wood, and somores for everyone.  I had been talking to a friend during the week.  I had no idea she was coming to the teen meeting but she was there.  She had asked me in advance if we could talk.  She wanted to know when I knew I was ready to start dressing.  We talked for quite a while.  I told her how I did it and how it went for me.  She liked my method and said she would talk to her wife about trying it.

when I first tried dressing, my wife and I went on a weekend trip.  I dressed at home before we left and she put me through all the things that could turn me against if.  Starting with getting lunch at a local BK and insisting we eat inside.  I was very nervous but i5 went fine.  Not the result she had hoped for.  At the end of 5he weekend I was confident I wanted to be who I am.  We started tak8ng little trips to expand my exposure.  Now I’m about to embark on full time life as a woman.

if anyone wants more details I am willing to share, but I think y’all are beyond that point.

no condo yet.  We were assured they would get occupancy permit by yesterday but that didn’t happen.  Now I’m going to have to reschedule deliveries. This is getting very frustrating.

Hello!!!, I am staying about 30 minutes outside of New Hope. I was there this morning for the Pride parade and it was my first and it was fun. I walked about town just being me. Did some shopping and purchased a fabulous pair of earrings that I hope to wear tonight at the dance at the New Hope Clarion.

The feeling of walking around as Rachel in broad daylight was an indescribable feeling that I guess one must  experience it to know what being yourself is really like. When i got back to the hotel I was going to change before going out to dinner as my male person but I felt so accepted in New Hope that I just changed my outfit and went to dinner as Rachel. OMG I want this all the time!!!!

Any ways time to get cracking on the hair and makeup again so Rachel can go shake the paint off the walls.

A couple pictures.

I have no clue when we will get to close now.  I did get the message they were working to get it on Tuesday.  Our refrigerator is currently scheduled for Friday washer and dryer a week later, I think.  They keep calling me to reschedule.  They want to deliver it sooner.

this is really frustrating.

@CD Rachel looks like you had a good time in New Hope.  I hope you make lots of new friends.

@HollyNG congratulations on getting your DL updated.

Everyone, stay safe, there is a lot of severe weather out there.

@HollyNGCOngrats! Isn't it nice to have that ID with your real name on it?

@CD Rachelyou look great! yup, now that you have a taste of being out and proud in public, it's going to keep eating at you to do it more and more.

I'm feeling 90% normal. I get out of isolation tomorrow!  I'm going to try and get to the swimming pool before the afternoon thunderstorms show up. It's been way to long since I've had a bathing suit on.   I probably won't last to long from a sunburn perspective but I just want to get outside and relax after being cooped up in the apartment for so long.  I ventured out to the store yesterday in full N95 mode but that little trip didn't cure the isolation blues.

@Bri2020,

Thank you for this tip I tried this out this weekend and it has given my a huge boost in self-esteem. Being able to look down at my chest and see what I will look like with the breast that I have always wanted has been great. I have wore them around for the past two days and tried on numerus outfits and am now really excited to get out in public as Cynthina for the first time. That time is growing nearer and nearer. I hope everyone had a great weekend and wish you all a blessed week.

A few months back, just for fun, I looked up an old Internet friend from 20+ years ago. We had lost touch a long time ago, but I found her on Facebook and said hi. We always got on well back in the day, and my transition hasn't changed that,

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and she posted an offer of a dress that she no longer wanted. She said she would send it free to the first person who wanted it. It was a very astronomical-themed pattern, so I had to put in my dibs. A couple of weeks later, it arrived in the mail. I had to do some alterations, but I finished those today and modelled it for the camera this evening.

It doesn't do anything to show off my boobs, but I do like how it looks on me.

You're right -- that dress is PERFECT for you, given your wonderful abilities (and eye-popping results!) in astrophotography!

And I love the appropriate colors of the bench behind you, as well 🏳️‍🌈

Thanks for sharing,

Hi everyone

Last night was particularly bad.  I’ve lost track of how many times I woke up and or got up.  I couldn’t stop my brain from thinking about several subjects and I get pains in my thighs.  They’ve cropped up again but are particularly bad.  Usually OTC pain meds like acetaminophen or ibuprofen combined with a muscle rub will knock it out.  This time in spite of everything I’ve done, it has raged  on for 4 days.

As for the condo, I’m not seeing that being done until after memorial weekend.  Too many little things from what I can see, biput I he biggest is a lack of a dishwasher and microwave.  Sloppy workmanship with closet doors hung iMproperly

sorry, can’t keep my eyes open.

Ugh, it finally happened. I wasn't feeling too good yesterday but I just attributed it to the go, go, go nature of my life and thought I was getting burned out. At work this morning a coworker pointed out that I looked and sounded a little on the sick side so anyways, took a test, I've got Covid. Now I'm out of work for the week.

Was just thinking (worrying?) about this since I have had an issue arise and need to see a new-to-me specialist, so sifting through the (in-network) doctors and trying to find one who gives the impression that they'd treat my condition and not try to wean me off HRT first.

Yesterday I went back to the store I shopped last week (where they remembered the "Miranda" to write on the changing room board) since I knew if I waited long enough I'd get a decent discount sent to me to pick up a second item I had hesitated to buy last time.    Was wearing a pair of jeans I picked up at Macys discount rack ala @Sally Stone  for the crazy price of two dollars!

My wardrobe is almost entirely from Torrid, but I know how to shop there.    Using the store credit card I got 5% off, plus 10% off ordering something and picking it up in the store. I also take their survey every time for an additional 10% off (25% off total).    I then shop their clearance items that are usually 30-70% off already.   I get 'name brand' items for Walmart prices.

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2024/mar/18/science-knowledge-gap-trans-healthcare     I like the reference to "trans broken arm syndrome."  I've experienced it myself.  The more research, the better, certainly.  The problem as I see it, especially concerning reports in the popular press, is that preliminary results are often used to "prove" someones POV, or are misunderstood or used in a political way.  That is never helpful, and it isn't confined to reporting on trans health care issues.  For example, how many times have we read or heard about studies that "prove" coffee is bad, or chocolate is bad, or eggs are bad, etc., only to read weeks or months later that the opposite is true?  In the case of trans health care, it all gets politicized, too.   Carolyn Marie

I just finished the intake forms for an online informed consent clinic through Plume and im both nervous and excited to meet with my provider next week via video chat. I'm worried I will be turned down and cannot get a prescription for a variety of reasons. I was asked so many invasive questions during intake, which I knew would happen. I worried about what I should leave out, how honest I should be, what could be something that would deny me a prescription. I've been fighting with myself for a long time and now that I have opened myself up to hoping for change, I am so scared of having the carrot dangled in my face only to be ripped away.    And a part of me is scared of starting testosterone. I'm even more scared of inaction. Of not at least trying it and seeing how I feel about the changes. If I don't try it, I will never know, and I will be stuck in the loop of questioning whether or not it is right for me until I am filled with regrets for chances not taken rather than opportunities I've pursued.     Has anyone here ever felt fear and apprehension about staring HRT? How did you get over that fear? How do I know in my heart if this is right for me when I am always running through all of the endless possibilities of good and bad results?
