Ugh @KathyLauren! Sorry this house didn't work out - and the car picked the worst possible time to do a swan song. Sending good thoughts that you find the perfect house!!!

Quiet day for us - had to do some running around but back home now for the evening.

Good morning

drinking my brew and eating my breakfast. Bad night last night.  Not sure what I did or didn’t do but my wife is annoyed with me.  7:30 start today so I can’t stay and chat.

enjoy your day.

Second cup of coffee finished and just laying in bed enjoying a lazy start to the day. The weather will keep me indoors today so I’ll probably work on the book I just downloaded and then watch some golf this afternoon.

Enjoy your day, no matter how you’re spending it!

Well first cup in hand. Everything is going good. Mom is getting better everyday. Still not sure when I will head out of here.

I envy your run, miz miranda! A knee replacement some years ago subtracted running from my life, and I've never quite gotten over the loss. Enjoy your run! I'll being pacing you in my imagination. 😊 ––Rianon

Good afternoon (I think). I’m so tired right now I’m not certain I even know which way is up.  I’m sitting on the screened porch or veranda or whatever name you might use.

@KymmieL my license has two M’s on it.  One I’d like to get rid of but not the other.  It’s my motorcycle endorsement.  I’d be happy with an X for gender

I have the F and M. Motorcycle and Female. In WY it was simple.  I just had my GYN fill out a form. Took it to the driver license office. No problem.

Been watching chick flicks with my mom, on Hallmark channel. No coffee yet. But I did have a Coke.

Same for me.

A short form that my VA therapist signed off on. (NC)

I suppose that might have put me on a list somewhere -- but I was probably already on it anyway.  LOL

In AZ it was a bit more complicated--separate court filings for name and gender changes. And, in the latter case, I had to show up in court.  Gotta love stone age legal systems. And Ivy, I can relate. When I had to change my retired ID and notify DoD of my name and gender change, I'm sure I wound up on some sort of list. Or several.

Two cups black and unsweet, I made pancakes from scratch for breakfast, showered (no wise cracks) walked the dog and we are sitting on the porch, listening to thunder.  I think that will be for the rest of the day.  Spring is here, hopefully for a couple months but chances are summer temperatures will hit early as usual.  It’s the longest season of the year and likely my least favorite.  It lasts 5 to 6 months.  Winter is the shortest.

Our temperature is moderated by the ocean, but in exchange we do get hurricanes.

worked 31 hours this week 32 hours scheduled next week.  Plus a new person starts his training next week.  I think she has hired a couple of new people. Looking to staff up before summertime.

Enjoy your day.  I’m looking forward to three days off in a row!

hugs

I have an X on my license....but since it is a CDL, the X stands for a combination HAZMAT and tanker endorsement.

Still have the female F on my license, since I just don't really care to change it.  My husband says in my case, it stands for "fox" and the government just doesn't know it yet. 😉

Breakfast this morning was pancakes, waffles, and jalapeno deer sausage.  My husband always makes a big Sunday breakfast.  The stay-at-home parents in our house tend to take care of the meals during the week.  On the weekend, we rest and our husband takes care of that.  He's a very good cook, too.  I always look forward to Sunday because each meal is a feast.

Had my usual two cups this morning with a  relatively unhealthy breakfast, hash browns, bacon and cheerios. Had a casual hour long bike ride, breakfast was to fuel for the ride.  Going to read this afternoon and find something to grill for dinner.

Two cups of coffee and toast didn't do it for me. I didn't feel especially alert until my third cup, at noon. I think I'll spend the rest of the day ignoring any housework that needs to be done. It's an excellent hobby.

URGENT REQUEST!!

Please send prayers to Connor Cooper.  Conner has 3rd degree burns from saving his family’s home from a fire by throwing the burning objects out a window.  He is in the burn center in Washington DC.  He is going to have surgery tomorrow and possibly skin grafts.

Conner is the younger brother of my Granddaughters boyfriend.

thank you

@Sally Stone, I have enjoyed reading this thread immensely. There certainly are some things in it that I can relate to, particularly when you wrote that "I wasn’t a man trapped in a woman’s body." This simple statement confirmed two things for me; I am not an imposter here, and I could end up much further along the path than what I imagine now.   I very much look forward to your future posts here.   I hope that by posing this question I'm not committing you to spoil future posts, but can I ask, why you have settled on Bigender as a label? I keep changing my label and have no idea what it might be tomorrow or next week or next month!

This whole Cass Review thing is breaking my heart. I keep imagining how it must be to be a trans kid in the UK atm. I am halfway through reading the review so that I can effectively refute it if and when people cite it here in Australia.

One thing I took on board from a former boss who was an absolute gentleman and fluent conversationalist but a hopeless leader because he was the classic yes man to his superiors, was to take the emotion out of the equation when arguing. Don't use hyperbole. Don't exaggerate. Stick to what you know and defeat your adversary with logic. Of course, your adversary will double down and make an even bigger fool of themselves, and not even realize that they have lost the argument, nor will they realize that people are laughing at them and not with them. It also helps if you can separate them from their minions.   A conservative elderly uncle, who left school at the age of 12, swears black and blue that taking Ivermectin (sheep dip) prevents Covid because he knew someone who knew someone else who took it and despite that person being momentarily in close contact with people who had Covid, didn't come down with it. "Well, you're the one with the science degree!" I said.   A lot of people argue out of ignorance. They base their points on populism and rumor. I rarely argue, but when I do, it is in an attempt to push back. Another favorite saying that I use is "Rumors are started by haters, spread by fools and believed by idiots." I then ask, "Which two are you?" 😉

Good morning, all!!! Cloudy today with some light rain coming. Not a day to work outside.   I will vacuum the house and the head out to our local hardware store after I get cleaned up. Time to buy a new bird feeder for the back porch.   I'm sorry the job didn't work @KymmieL! Hang in there.   It sounds like a busy time for you at work @Willow. Finding reliable people is so hard these days.   Time for another cup of coffee before I start cleaning!!   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given.

Nostalgia is an emotion. It is the feeling of enjoying events from the past. People with nostalgia will often look at or use old things that they were familiar with years ago. This is because people feel more connected to those past times that they enjoyed, usually because it reminds them of how long it has been since they last connected to such past times. Examples where people may have the feeling of nostalgia includes watching old TV shows, using old technology that was very enjoyable, and playing with toys that you played with as a child. These memories are usually misleading, and can make someone wish that they could be young again, even if their childhood was mediocre. Human brains often leave out boring or bad memories, which can cause incorrect feelings about their childhood.
