It does have it's down side.

And it's upside, too. If I can just re-adjust my attitude a little, I can rejoice and accept the fact that my new housemate, even while her energy is brilliant and young and shows up my old male ego, she's no real threat to me, but is in fact a heaven-sent gift. She accepts and supports me as I support her 100%. How much is that worth? Worth much more than my insecurities can find to denigrate me with the stress of change. When love is the answer, any question can be asked.  💟 —Davie

My sister's temporary work schedule has got my schedule kind of mixed up.  I'm usually up early with my partners, but I've been waiting for her to get home so I can cook for her and get her to bed.  This morning, I was so tired I curled up with her and slept until noon.  She's got her own space, but since she's sleeping during the day she's been in my nest instead.  And it was rainy today, so I really felt like just sleeping through everything.

Could be a stormy day here in Laramie. Dark skies surround us. Forecast of 69.  Officially 45 a mile west as the crow flies.

Been praying everyday that I get this position. Sent an email to her yesterday. Letting her know I was still very interested. We will see what happens.

Hugs,

Well both boys went to the dentist and I dropped Bentley off at school. Jett was so excited because we went to the thrift store and he already knew he was getting a toy. I also got two dresses and three jeans with two belts. I ordered my winter attire and got a pink puffer coat as well online.

I had to google what the heck that was lol. They can look good that's for sure. I got lucky my hair is mixed. Dark brown and light brown almost blonde and brown together. It's now four inches in length. The back isn't straight at all. It's all curly. I'm just happy to see that it's growing more and more.

Yep, A girl needs to look her best.

I just wish I could have one day I was truly happy. I think the last few times I was. Was when my grandkids were born. So, in 58 so years, I can remember each and every time. When I got married, when my 3 sons were born. and when my oldest got married. Which I cried like the girl I am.

My life is the pits. Just wanted to say that. Still haven't heard anything. Doubt I will hear anything tomorrow as it is graduation. I did see what she mentioned about the store.

Well, no storms today. A few sprinkles, that was it.

Kymmie, things can get better, and probably will.

I had to google "balayage" as well.  But it does look fabulous.

TBH, I just wish I had hair.  I have a couple of wigs, but they look like… wigs.  Yeah, testosterone poisoning has done a number on me.  I'll just have to make the best of things I suppose.  Actually, wigs keep my bald head warm in cold weather.  That's another plus for Autumn.  And layers of clothes can cover a lot.

Well, it's certainly not morning here at the moment, so I'll pass on the coffee and hit the sack.  'Night y'all.

Hopefully things get better.  Try to put off thinking about the job until mid next week.  Nobody makes decisions on Fridays or Mondays....  Tuesdays people catch up on all the things they should have been doing while they were making excuses on Friday and Monday.  Which means Tuesday is kind of the redheaded stepchild of the days of the week.  So, pretty much Wednesday and Thursday are the go-to days for anything important getting done.

This week, I'm waiting for Saturday.  Waiting for my sister's life to get back to normal...and probably a pizza night.  I've still got insomnia while she's out at night.  GF actually went to sleep early.  Got into my husband's lap and was snoring in 5 minutes.  She's adorable... and I never stop being amazed by how small she looks asleep compared to when she's awake.  Total mystery.

Good morning everyone,

I've been up since 06:30 EDST catching up on business emails, and orders. The last four days I've been working in a vendor's shop helping to push along my last training prop build for a huge order to the LA State Police Hazmat Division. We finish the build, wash and prep for for paint today. It will dry overnight, and we paint tomorrow. Monday we clear coat it, and Tuesday morning we finish out the build so it can ship on Wednesday. It must be received in Zachary, LA by the end of business Friday, or the entire order is canceled. D#@* Government Grant stipulations and drop dead deadlines. This is the closest we've ever cut a deadline, and my nerves are feeling it.

@rachel wI can't wait until I'm fully retired, and looking out from my den with a fire in the fireplace. I hope you find your peaceful place in the mountains.

Hugs,

well the wife was at it yesterday. With our new puppy we have had a few accidents in the house. He is getting better. Plus some from our doxie, jealousy. So I brought home our middle sons carpet cleaner. its been in our storage for 7 yrs.

She is bwitching in the bedroom. Says we need to go get the shampoo. I want to start tonight. looks at me "or it will never get done." like she is blaming me for it. I leave to do some more work on the stereo on the bike. I hear her in the house. She then comes out the front door. purse in hand. Looks at me. "finish what you are doing I'll wait in the truck." I put my tools down and close up the garage. (I have to go through the house)

We get the shampoo go for dinner. Once home she gets ready to shampoo the carpet. I continue working in the garage. Once I am at a hold point. I comeback in. I can feel coolness in the house. She is in the hall. She says this thing isn't sucking up the dirty water. At this point the bedroom door is closed. However, it is moving. I go in, thinking the cat wants out. No, it is the wind. The back door is wide open, as is the window. and the adjoining bathroom fan is on. Everything is piled  on our bed. about hour later the weather say current temp is 41 in Laramie.

After the weather, I asked if it is alright to go to bed. "Is the floor still wet?." I check it. No. "Well, I am going to buy a new carpet cleaner tomorrow. bring my plants in and put them on the floor." They are almost blocking the door. So, the windows and the door have been open for at least 2 hours. with a cold wind. She acts like me wanting to go to bed is a crime, because she wants to clean the floors today. I have to work. The bedroom is down right cold. I clean off the bed. I get changed, (shorts and a tank) I get a spot in the bed to warm it up. when she joins me. when ever that is. She tugs and pulled the blanket so she can cover up more. Not thinking or caring to snuggle with me. ( finally made my warm spot)

Sorry to be long winded this morning. more after work.

Hi, where did the week go?  So, last Sunday I gave a sermon for our on-line church.  Wednesday, I worked 6 to 2.  When I got home I sat for a little while then I proceeded to make two loaves of bread for a church bake sale.  Friday, I worked at our church’s annual yard sale as a cashier.  And today I opened our store, 4:15 to 12:15.  Yes, I was tired.  I’m not used to getting up that early.  I had a short nap this afternoon.  We are going to a local pub for dinner then I’ll watch the Buckeyes vs Notre Dame football game.  I’m a bit of a channel surfer so I don’t know that I’ll watch it from beginning to end.  It depends on what else is on, but I will keep track of the game.

Next week at work we will be doing a whole lot of changes.  Making certain everything in the store shelves is correctly located per marketing guidelines.  Then overnight Tuesday we will pull off all of the shelf tags and put up all new ones.  The entire store in one overnight.  That should be interesting.  I think that is supposed to be the first step in a total makeover.  Well, maybe step two if you count going to overnight unattended fueling as a part of it.  Eventually, we are supposed to get all new drink machines, move the candy aisle, add additional store shelves and much more.  This fall should be interesting.

We had tropical storm Ophelia make a backside visit here last night.  Rain and wind.

I finally did something today that I've wanted to do for a long time, but haven't had the courage to try.  I got my nipples pierced!  Also got hip dermals and belly button done.  I held off for years for multiple reasons, not the least of which lately was the uncertainty of how it will affect how I pass.  Don't see a lot of boys with those kinds of piercings.  But I figure I'm androgynous so I can pull off the look well enough.  And also, our faith community isn't exactly in favor of tattoos and piercings.

One of my partners did the job - she's pretty good at it.  She's done VCH piercings for my female partners (kind of a wedding tradition here.)  I was a bit nervous, but it wasn't bad.  And my husband said I look cute, so that's eased my mind a bit too.

I've had both of mine done a couple times. (I would take out the jewelry and they would close up.)Both Self and professionally done. A friend of our was a professionally trained piercer. SHe and her husband, A tattoo artist, co-wrote the tattoo and piercing health regulations for the state of South Dakota. I have heard that quite a few other states have adopted those.

Now thanks to the scar tissue I have perky nipples al the time. LOL. I've had a couple down stairs too. I haven't worn any jewelry in my PA in 10 yrs. yet it never closed. I developed a raw spot that jewelry disturbs it. Hence not wearing any.

Earlier this AM I figured that my oldest hasn't been in Wyoming in over 4 yrs. I think since he got out of the national guard. OH, he and the family have been to Colorado visiting and staying with the in laws. but not hear. Do to this we have never sent him any pictures of the inside of our house. Just the outside. If he wants to see the inside he has to do it himself.

Good Sunday afternoon.

watching some reruns and a bit of football.

Piercings, well here’s the way I see it.  One of the things we tend to do when fighting with our selves is self inflicted pain.  Whether it’s cutting, or piercings it’s a way to control our dysphoria.  Often a substitute for doing worse things.  I started by getting a PA. But took it out.  Then I got it done again.  Second time I think the piercer placed it too low.  It very quickly enlarged.  Last jewelry I had in it was 4 gauge.  I haven’t had anything in it for years.  I’ve also had an RPA, twice! both nipples twice and bellybutton.  The only I still have and use are my ears, and the PA is still open but slowly closing.  Getting on the right anti depressant has controlled my need for pain.  @awkward-yet-sweetyour piercing doesn’t sound like the same sort of need but more of a cute thing.

I just checked and see your problem and mine.  I copied the numbers off a page of the and picked up a figure I did not mean to.  26,673,525 is the total able to register statewide, and the 82.91% is the numbers that actually have registered.   22,114,456 is the total registered,   10,353,432  is the number of Democrats registered, (46.82%);  and Republicans come in at 5,286,269 (23.9%)   American Independent party 825,981 (3.74%)  Green Party 101,620 (0.46%)   Libertarians 242, 299 (1.10%)  No Party Preference 4,914,982 (22.23)  and a couple more categories that equaled about 1.5% of the real total.

@Jamielynn One factor in breast growth is body type and amount of body fat.  The modern western ideal of "slender but with large breasts" seems to be fairly unusual in nature.  The women in my life (just a sample) tend to follow the pattern of "slender = smaller breasts and thicker = larger breasts."     Yes, decrease testosterone and increase estrogen will yield secondary sex characteristics.  Within limitations.  Two of my friends are MtF, and both have HRT.  Even with HRT, neither has large breasts.... a full A-cup or small B-cup at most.  Both are fairly slender and physically active.  If they wanted something larger, they'd likely have to look at augmentation.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
I do too.  Actually, husband's parents used to have FOX on the TV constantly in their home until a couple of years ago.  But viewers are decreasing overall as people cut the cord on expensive cable services.  Something is just unhealthy about consuming that much media, no matter the source.  Remember the days when "news" was something that came on for a half hour at 6pm?  Or arrived in a rolled-up paper on the driveway on Sunday and Wednesday?
    • awkward-yet-sweet
OK, I'm confused.  I'm no scholar, but isn't a "whole" supposed to be 100%?  Yet 82% are Democrats and 46% are Republicans?  Unless I'm missing something, that's more than 100%.... are people double registered or something?   It seems like a lot of studies go for 1000 respondents.  I guess its just a nice, round number?  But for a state as big as CA, its a pretty small sample size.  And 1000 people from San Fransisco will give very different results than 1000 people from Northern CA smaller towns.  It would be interesting to know the polling locations they used, but I suspect that the study is basically worthless due to its sample size and limitations.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
Lots of folks have been feeling that way for quite a while, and for different reasons.  The trick is... become OK with that idea.    After all, the Founding Fathers were outlaws in the eyes of the British crown.  There's frequently a difference between "right" and "legal."  There's lots of things that are legal, but not right.  And lots of things that are right, but not legal.  According to Jefferson, "When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty."  The day the system makes me an outlaw, I'll be in good company.

Thank you EasyE!  I have been researching this for years and have lots of links, but just google transgender brain and you will see lots of information (some conflicting) but concentrate on Bed Nucleus. This area of the brain is structured to sense what is happening around you and send signals to the rest of the brain. It was originally only thought to control anxiety, and the fight or flight reflex, but it has been found to be sexually dimorphic in structure, and is likely the centre of gender identity. In this case (still being researched) the signals it sends to the rest of the brain would be dysphoria. (if/when they can prove this it should mean GI and Dysphoria are not mental.) There is no way to change the Bed Nucleus atm, so 'it isn't going away'!   You need to read a number of papers as each of them has parts of the story, and it is still being developed.   Hugs,   Allie

One of the reasons the far right is pushing so hard right now. The kids are alright, so time is short for instilling sweeping “conservative” and authoritarian dogma.
    • EasyE
I would love to know more about this. Do you have links where we can read more, Allie? I hear so many people (including myself) saying to folks around them "this isn't going to go away" (even though others don't understand this) ... I feel that too. It would be nice to know a little more why. Thanks!!! And thanks for all you do to keep us so well informed!

2%, even better! That is over 6.7 million Americans and over 160.2 million people worldwide who are trans. No small numbers! We are everywhere.
    • AllieJ
There hasn't been any accurate census of the trans population, and it would be difficult given the varieties under the trans umbrella. Governments grossly under represent trans numbers so they don't have to provide funding, but in countries where trans people are traditionally accepted the populations are usually estimated around 2%. This is almost all represented by trans feminine people, and doesn't include non binary. As most trans people either haven't figured out they are trans, or are in hiding, accurate numbers are likely never to be known. About 5% of youth in the US have claimed to be gender diverse, and I have read papers which forecast between 5 and 8% of the worlds population could be gender diverse.    I feel most comfortable with the 2% number as a minimum of people who will take some affirming action, but do feel the total number would be much higher.   Hugs,   Allie

What an amazing story, @EmilyLouise48. You are blessed to have that support on your life. Thank you for sharing.

1% sounds small, but it's significant. One study estimates the number trans and nonbinary Americans at 1.6%, which is over 5 million people! We are numerous, we are everywhere, and we are strong.

You might consider wearing a wide cloth headband or turban headband to feminize your look while your brushed back hair grows out. You can find lots of different patterns like these for example.
