And you also could wear a print of Van Gogh's Starry Night in celebration of all the wonderful astrophotography you've done!! :)

Thanks!  :)  I am hoping to finally get my setup operational again this week.  It's been over a year since I last took a picture, so it is high time.

I do have a tartan under my sir name, Hunter. It seems according to my cousin who's hobby was genealogy. Hunter in Scottland is like Smith here in the states.

Then on my mothers side I am related to British royalty. So, Princess Kymmie is in the building. LOL.

Hugs,

Your royal highness,

Kymmie

Slay!

My dad’s side is mostly British isles blood, but I don’t think I have any Scottish lineage.

I should really get back to sleep. Anxiety dreams really get the blood moving though.

Good morning

Hey, I think we’ve all got a wee bit of the old Gaelic it us, somewhere.  I ken find a wee bit of many clans in my ancestry, both Irish and Scottish.  And lots of ancient royalty and lords. Dukes and such.  Close enough that the Brits wanted us out of Scotland after the uprisings.  Which is how I ended up here and not there.

Not many follow what happening in Scotland these days but they have been working to gain their independence from Great Britain yet again.  I’m not certain how they would deal with a monarch as they still have roots in the current King of England.  But they rattle their swords every so often to get what they want, they have their own Parliament.  Make their own laws. They are all but independent.

So, what should we talk about today?  Anyone doing anything special for Pride month?  Perhaps a parade or a rally for Juneteenth?  Yes I know there is a double meaning behind that day and the news likes to ignore our side these days.  We get enough attention with all the anti-health care laws being passed against teens.  I guess they figure if the block the teens they will end transgenders eventually.  But we know all they are doing is hurting a generation of us that will become more vocal and stronger eventually.

now that should evoke a few thoughts, maybe?

have a great day.  I’m well into my term paper but I still have a long way to go.  Hopefully today I’ll get through a lot more of it so that I can work on cleaning it up and getting a draft into the hands of a mentor.

No big plans for me.

But I do plan to attend our local Pride Picnic later this month.

A little work, a shower, face laser. Just a normal morning. :)

As for topics, has anyone sold their own house (FSBO) instead of using a realtor? I'm staring at having time over the Summer and thinking that might be an option. I know I wouldn't have access to the client list of one, but I wouldn't have to pay thousands, and I'm pretty sure a sign on my lawn would do (I live in a pretty desirable area, IMO). I know some realty law-type folks, so I can get a bead on a contracts person pretty easily too.

I'm going to go up the mountain in a bit for my VA trans support group.  That's always nice.  As much as I appreciate this forum, being with real people is worth the drive to me.

My GF did it.  Signs and online listings worked.  There's even sites for it like forsalebyowner.com.

Realtors do have one function, though.  They can help keep you from wanting to strangle annoying buyers.  GF selling property was..interesting to watch.

Wonderful HVAC went out yesterday and the temperature rose to 82 from 70. It was cooler outside. Was able to get a technician out and 340 dollars later it's working thank goodness. I'm not useful when it comes to home repairs or even car repairs. I can't even change out the alternator or even something simpler putting on a new belt. My phone quit working since last night. I was finally able to get it working again after 3 hours. The VPN was causing it to not work. I get to see my endocrinologist on the 18 so I'm excited for that. Girlfriend was very sorry that she hasn't been able to spend a lot of time with me. She told me that she was worried that I would leave her. I reassured her that as long as she treats me right I won't leave her. She owns and operates a floral store. I can't wait till she can live with me down here permanently. She said she'll me transition more with surgeries and makeup. Looking forward to being able to have my nails done. I got hit on by a trans woman and she wouldn't stop after I told her I already have a girlfriend so I blocked her and showed the messenger chat to my girlfriend. She was grateful of what I did.

Ok venting time.  @KymmieL I know you’ll appreciate this on.

this morning the home health nurse was here.  I took a picture of how my wife’s wound looked to show her like I always do.  Then I asked the nurse about a line of spots no one side she explained them then asked if I had a picture from the beginning.  Which I did. Then I was scrolling through my pictures to see the progression my wife angerly says “enough”. After the nurse left we left to go to the post office, lunch and Costco.  As we are driving away from home she turns to me and says not too nicely that if I wanted to be a woman I needed to spend more effort on how I looked.  At the post office we bought a roll of package tape.  Of course it won’t peel off the roll and the longer it took to get it started the darker her looks became.  We go into Costco.  Right inside the door are tables with women’s shorts and blouses.  I ask her, do you like these shorts?  Yes this color or the other? Can’t make up her mind so I put one of each in the basket.  Next some blouses.  She picks what she wants and the size she wants. I picked up two what I thought were sleeveless for me.  (Turns out they had built in bras which I didn’t discover until I got home.  She tries on one of her tops, doesn’t like it and says to me you want them? No.

later I want to work on me paper.  Oh then I can’t watch tv?  I hate this condo.  I’ll just sit on the porch. Somewhere in all this I want the ac on and a ceiling fan.  Well that makes her made too.  She wants it 80 degrees with no fan. I prefer 76 with the fan.  And the night continues until she has made me quite annoyed with her.

pick, pick, pick.

next I’ll likely hear about the pjs I have on.  Argh!

@Willow  I feel for you.  Sometimes female partners just can't be pleased.  Pick, pick, pick, as you say.  There are days my GF is just determined to have a fight with somebody...anybody...for any random reason.  She'll be nothing but fangs and claws and bitter complaints.  Its rough to live with somebody like that.  But there are also days where it isn't that way, and where they're the person we met years ago who captivated our attention 100%.  Patience....

Awww.... I feel for you.  I'm similarly useless with mechanical stuff. I just look at it and scratch my head....I'm useless and fluffy.  I'm always amazed how my GF can look under the hood, figure out exactly what's wrong, and drag out a bunch of tools and have a car in pieces within the hour.  I can barely identify what an alternator is, but she'll have it changed in 30 minutes or less.  We all have different talents, I guess.

HVAC is ridiculously expensive.  My husband has learned to do some of it himself, simply because of the cost.  We had a technician out to the house a while back, quoted $2,000 for a simple motor and a circuit board.  My husband ordered the parts on Amazon for $200, and installed in 20 minutes.  Easy enough that even I could have done it with a YouTube video.  Of course we had no central heat for a week while we waited for parts, but the wait was worth it to save money.  He and GF have been learning HVAC stuff since then, and bought a bunch of parts and tools.  It actually looks less hard than car repair, since there's more space between parts.  IDK how they can charge more money than car mechanics....

Not much to say this morning things are still chilly, or at least they were when she came to bed and tried to yank the covers off me.   Even the dog knew better than to sleep in our room last night. She could have come in anytime as the door was open. Instead she slept on the floor right outside our door.

Sorry for what you're going through @Willow. Happens to all of us at times I guess. One night last week, after a completely normal day and saying goodnight in the normal way in bed, about a minute later my wife asked "Are we good?"

I had no idea where that came from and I won the short but ugly argument by giving examples, then persisted with asking her why she questioned our love. "Don't worry about it" was all I got, over and over. I spent the rest of the night laying on the very edge of the bed, back turned, awake for hours, hoping to die.

Things are much better now - we ARE good - but I still don't have any clue as to why she asked the question in the first place.

Girl, I've been there too often. I get the pick, pick, pick a lot. My wife thinks I should read her mind and know what needs to be done. Well, honey. My mind doesn't work that way. Tell me what needs done, and it will get done.

Its been hot here lately, upper 70s-80s. Looking at 84 here today. Of course hotter in Colorado. House, doesn't have A/C but it does stay cool. Been working on our Aerostar. Got the axle seals, bearings, rear brakes, and shocks  done. Just waiting on a new rear end cover to replace the plastic one. due today. then a new brake drum to replace the greased down one.

Well up and ready to head to my therapist appointment. Been three weeks and I am ready. Hope I can remember.

Hugs, to all my TP family.

Occupational therapist came over last night to go over procedures for getting sorted in the mornings.

She walked over to my closet and was admiring my bra collection when she remarked, "I didn't know they made a "strapless" in a bra this big!"

We went over procedures to minimise falls whilst dressing.

Well, my life is changing over here and it feels like I'm waiting to be assigned to a new duty station.  As an older person who is quite accomplished, I'm just happy about standing my ground on what I'm doing professionally.

Tomorrow is my last day of wired internet.  I wired up the whole house with CAT6.  I have multiple buildings on the property.  The wires were just so fabulous!  I loved them and I have gotten quite good at terminating the wires with normal ends.  Once the internet goes down, I'll use my prepaid Verizon phone that I pay $31.65/month for with 5GB of data a month to connect my desktop computer to the internet mostly so that I can interact on this forum.  Well, I read some wikipedia information too, check my email and such.  I've never been a fan of video, but I think pictures and the cameras in these phones are fabulous.  Every time I've taken a picture lately I just think back to how it was in the 90's and I'm simply amazed.  My phone battery still lasts over a week because I don't use any apps on it and that keeps me from using the screen much.

Not sure how long the electricity will last here either.  I've got a decent stash of beans, lentils and rice here, so I'm sure I could last a couple months without electricity.  I can always fill my one gallon propane tank for cooking fuel.  I just walk it down to the gas station.  It costs a little under $4 to fill and I filled it twice last year.  I think I've already filled it twice this year though.  I've been using it more with the wok burner.  Love that thing, but I'm questioning how good the metal of the wok is for my health.  I see more sense in the 8 quart stock pots with lids that I cook curries in.  That curry process is amazingly efficient on fuel and water.

Well, I literally do not even have $4 right now, so filling the tank my be a problem.  It went empty the other day.  It's become a lesson in learning how to not worry about the insecurity of it all.  I've got everything I need to have a good day today.  I have good theoretical NET worth because I have done a decent job at working over the years and built up equity in my house.  I read a lot of financial blogs and I strongly disapprove of the stock market and trying to make money off of interest.  To me, that is just a total scam, although I do see the nature of the problem of people needing some kind of retirement and personally do not like the idea of my children taking care of me even though I do not have any children or essentially any living relatives at all.  It just makes much more sense to me to own my home in retirement and do what I can to pay the utilities and buy food.  You know, a mixture of social security and some light work in society or something.

Anyway.  I feel much better posting stuff like this here than on those financial sites.  I like it when the financial people start talking about frugal things, but then hate it when they talk about investments.  I'm certainly taking a gamble with my retirement here by selling my house, but it'll all work out for the best.  People tend to think it's insanity but I see it as an investment in myself and that has always worked well for me.  As long as I'm using my money to keep doing engaging work, whether it pays or not, I should be OK in the future and have enough to survive on.

hehe, quoting myself.  I'm kind of introverted!!  The idea here is that I don't see it totally as a scam.  This interest thing forces people to work and if that is what we need, that is a way to do it.

Sorry, everything tends to get a political angle on it.

Have a nice day....

Hugs, Lydia

The stock market seems a little weird to me too.  I actually have some stock that I kinda inherited, and a small 401K.

I've done my best to stay out of debt, and that has paid off.  I may live "poor" but I own this shack, and my only "debts" are my monthly bills.  It is very freeing.

Good evening

Well we are short a worker.  Our second shift lead has been let go for failing to come to work without notice.  That changed my hours for tomorrow and could change my start time back to 4:15 at least a couple days a week.  Is what it is I suppose.

I’m not sure I mentioned yesterday but I finished my paper. Just need to fix some formatting issues and rerun spell ckeck.  And lastly create a bibliography.

right now I have asked a couple of people to review it.

@KymmieL id love to have your hot weather.  Upper 80s and 90s expected for the rest of the summer.  Along with tropical storms or worse.

It's like Musk tapping up kids to run around and mess with agency computer systems, Trump has an army of ne'er do wells that write up a sheets of paper to put in a faux leather binder for him to sign. Trump actually has to do nothing but scribble his seismographic scrawl on the page.

I think everyone, including Rep. Green, realizes that this impeachment isn't going to go anywhere.  What concerns me is that it isn't really serious, and neither is the "proposal" by the Oval Office inhabitant.  I don't think members of Congress, of either party, should be initiating a very serious action for a half baked (or unbaked) "proposal."  Nothing has been initiated, no military or other action has been done, nothing has been set in motion.  All that has happened is that The Guy held a press conference and said something most people consider unworkable at best, and plain stupid at worst.  That is not a valid rational for impeachment.  If it was, every 3rd or 4th press briefing in the modern history of the White House would have resulted in the same.   There will be plenty - probably 4-6 or more, actual things done by this President over the next four years that will be deserving of impeachment.  We should wait for one of them, and not this ridiculous press briefing that was just an excuse to get his face on the front page for three days and spout drivel.   Carolyn Marie

@Heather Shay thanks! 💗   For me, emotional healing begins with self compassion and acknowledging my feelings without judgment.   Setting boundaries to protect my well-being is just as important. Too many times, I’ve placed my heart in the wrong hands, and losing pieces of myself in the process can be deeply painful.   Healing, like everything in life, comes with its ups and downs there will be both good and difficult moments, but each step forward is a step toward wholeness.

I would suggest that you  call or visit your nearest LGBTQ Center for recommendations of safe nightclubs in your area.  I have visited your area and know that there are a good number of night clubs there that welcome Cross Dressers where you can meet the others in person.  You might also check with your Chamber of Commerce there in Ft. Lauderdale since they have encouraged CD conventions over the years even with your governors POV on things.

Hi Gloria,   I think it is so incredible that you are approaching this in such a positive way.  Heather and April have already made good recommendations, so all I can add is that as your relationship progresses, maintain open and honest communication.  I have been married for more than forty years and my wife and I attribute our success living with my feminine side primarily because of healthy and honest communication.  We have had a few rough patches over the  years but we have always gotten through them by communicating with each other.   I wish you and your boyfriend the best of luck.

Hi I new and just looking to meet like-minded people like me. I'm a straight guy that likes to dress up to the nines completely but have no other crossdressing friends or real women to do it with. I would love to find people near me to get all dressed up and maybe go out where that is acceptable but I do not know where and no one to talk to about it.  I'm straight so people like me would be great and genetic women also to help me on that journey.  Thanks Michelle
