A good day,Stopped at a good customer's house for a repair.Plumbing leak which was a bad trap.This customer also has 2 black labrador retrievers named Hank and Lia that know me well.I keep dog treats in my work van,have the kindness to dogs which I got from my mom .They know I have dog treats and gave them one.This customer is cool about it and sees I love dogs.She also had something else for me,made me a strapless dress.Knows I crossdress part time as Hailey and she loves working with transgender women,MTF transsexuals and crossdressers

I'm not sure what the Native peoples here believed (I'm Greek, and my family just got here in the 70's), but our seasons here are weird.  We've got 6 seasons also - Cold Wet Spring, Hot Wet Summer, Summer Desert Hell, Fall Rain, Winter Dry, and Winter Snow.

It was quite a pleasant surprise that my amended birth certificate arrived so quickly, and without a hitch. 
I did however provide them much more than they required. I guess the decision was rather easy. 

I have filed the document away with my important papers and will only take it out as needed (I seem to have lost my outdated certificate). 

I'm not expecting DMV staff to be thrilled when I arrive to update my drivers license (Texas panhandle area), but Texas state law says that an amended birth certificate is all that's required. Of course I'll ask for a new updated photo as well (my last image was hiding in short hair and overalls).

I scanned the document and accompanying letter already, I'll do the same with my updated license. I will provide those copies to the medical day-centre in one neat package, but I don't expect them to honour the changes. They are quite "Puritan ol' fashioned". (My old certificate is most likely in their possession, I can't think of anywhere else it could be). 

I'm expecting no change at the day-centre!

Well than you can sue them for discrimination, based on sex. You could put the fear in them. Have a pad and pen with you. Each and every time they miss gender you write it down. Then when they ask, "Oh, it is for my discrimination court case against this place. "Legally" you are female and being "forced" by them to be male. Amounts to discrimination. I bet the AFLCIO would just love a case like that.

 

Yesterday seen my Dr. as a follow up for my ER visit. They read the ER report. Copious amounts of fluid came out, was in that report. My Dr. said to continue on my antibiotics until finished. If it is still bothering me to come back and they may have to bleed me again.

 

Well felt good when I opened my pay app and my first check was there. I am back to almost what I was making an hour when I was at wally world. With way less of the cow cookies I have had then and since. I may have found my place.

 

On another note. The wife was in one of her moods last night. She was banging around the dishes. Because she decided to make dinner. Even when our youngest told her, he was going to do it.

This one is the one after her. I don't think even if it was I wouldn't. I would ask to do half of medical, dental, vision, school and extracurricular activities. I'm just looking forward to meeting someone. I'm talking to a 48-year-old cis woman and she has a genderfluid kid and a lesbian kid. She is an LGBTQ supporter. I would be her first woman if we workout. We have talked for four days so still too early to tell.

sounds like a lot of you have shared some good news.  I guess my good news is no news.  
 

We went to the pool yesterday my wife dangled her feet but I went in all the way.  (She can’t yet). We got chased out of the pool.  A bad storm came up.  It was slow moving but very intense. 
 

this week has otherwise been pretty quiet, so is next week but the 11th through the 25th we will be busier.  Doctors appointments followed by a week with our oldest granddaughter.  Looking forward to that.

Did something for my mom,do some errands for her since she is recovering from knee surgery.Got some food she wanted and deposited a check of hers at the bank.She has a rental house that she rents out and the current renters pay her right away every month.Plus they keep the place clean keeping it in good condition.I do the repairs I can do there for her.The check was from them.Plus I stopped at a yard sale,Found a couple dresses and skirts I liked in my size including a pair of boots and a ladder too.Bought them and they were brand new

@birdie I hope you put a copy of your birth certificate along with “in your face”.  But I suspect you didn’t.

 

We received our ballot for the upcoming HOA board election.  The mail person mistakenly put it in someone else’s box.  They put it under our door mat this afternoon.  We decided together who to vote for and I’ve already mailed it back.  We won’t be attending the meeting as our Granddaughter will be here then.

 

Well, I guess we are going to get a taste of bad weather in the next week as the next tropical storm, Debbie is expected to come through here next week.  I just hope it doesn’t amp up like the last one did before it hit Texas. Mean time we continue to get afternoon thunderstorms.

I am new here and am out reading posts. this subject came up and wanted to poke my nose in and see what the topics are like.

 

The discussion is one that  I find alot of interest in. this because as i travel through my medical journey and discover what much I long suspected may be true, I wanted to see how people feel and interact with issues including intersexuality. 

For me, I want to chat about the things happening and discoveries made medically. 

 

There is strong evidence that I may in fact be intersexed, so talking with my doctor and doing the various tests will help me along with this. So far, some highly interesting things have come up and exploring the ramifications of them is where I am walking into unknown territory.   perhaps i may gain some or a great deal of wisdom of those who have come before me.

Intersex is a broad umbrella term that includes 1/1500 children born. It covers many many conditions from partial androgen insensitivity to XXY chromosomes. Some born AMAB (me) to AFAB. 

 

Some of us were told since childhood because of obvious external manifestations, others didn't find out until later in life. 

There was a "girl" in the news (AMAB) in Colorado that didn't find out until she was 60ish after a routine ultrasound. Many of her "questions" were answered when she finally found out, and her children and wife were very accepting of it. 

 

I have PMDS, so it's a stage of androgen insensitivity that caused me to not grow a penis, but also grow a uterus and fallopian tubes. My clitoris is oversized and deformed. I was AMAB because I was given testicles, and ultrasound wasn't around when I was born. I was in my teens when an accident took me to the emergency room and an ultrasound caused the doctor to have a long conversation with my parents. Another doctor decided to try testosterone to "fix things" from 17-19 years old. 

Back in the 60's and 70's these things needed to be fixed 🙄

 

After 45 years of pressured boy-mode, and hiding my breasts and wide hips I have finally decided to "just be myself" as the woman I am. My birth certificate has been amended and my drivers license will be changed at the end of this month. I'm finally legally who I was born to be. I won't do surgery to correct anything because it's against my religious convictions, but "to each their own".

I had no idea how much I was different inside, not even as a teen (my parents kept that from me). I was only told I had a good chance of being sterile (they were wrong). 

 

A later ultrasound a few years ago coupled with blood tests finally gave me my diagnosis, and all the guessing went away. 

It's good to know! And will answer many questions about yourself as things are investigated.

You're not alone.  I was in the same place a couple of years ago.  I thought I was genderfluid, but medical testing and imaging showed that I'm actually intersex.  It wasn't obvious enough that doctors noticed it when I was young, and most of my interesting variations are on the inside, rather than external.  And those variations aren't related to any sort of genetic disorder.  According to my DNA, I'm supposed to be a "normal" 46XX female.  But my body is built differently. 

 

Hopefully you find a good doctor who has a more open mind, and is willing to do tests/imaging to see what unique variations you've got.  "Knowing is half the battle" as they say.

I guess we are in the wait and watch for what TS Debbie decides to do. Personally, I don’t plan on going any where and I believe we already have sufficient food.  The only thing I may do is get our emergency water jug (large contractor’s water jug) out of storage, and start up our ice maker to make food preservation easy in case of power loss.  We have a countertop ice maker also in storage for when we need extra ice.  I really don’t think they will be needed.  All new construction for years has had underground utilities, and the utilities have been doing a lot of work in recent years to bury all the feeder lines so that power loss is unusable but not impossible.  The large grocery stores all have their own backup power systems, Many since Hurricane Michael was so bad in 2016.

My facebook page is going crazy with most of my friends following their political beliefs on the Olympic issues. Try as I may to point out facts. The number one response is how they feel about the issue. Then when I point out how their feelings don’t change the facts they want to agree to disagree. The best meme I’ve seen so far says: The American Right have won the Gold Medal in Jumping to a Collusion. 
 

Well my end table has its own set of Olympic Rings based on the number of cups of coffee I’ve had.

The local astronomy camp-out / star party (a.k.a. "nerd camp") is scheduled for next weekend.  The forecast models show Debbie paying us a visit around Friday-ish.  Hopefully it will stay offshore, but it might not be good camping weather.

My dearest friend planted a "gender reveal rose" in his garden in honour of my legal gender change on my birth certificate and soon to be on my driver's license.
