Top of the morning to you all 💖

Slept fairly well again, but a bit of diarrhea still this morning. I'll take something for my stomach and try to go in today (I have groceries coming into the centre today).

I'll be going to Torrid on Sunday in an Uber. I have a friend that wants to go eat Sunday afternoon near Torrid, so I will go eat and then drop into Torrid to make a minimum payment on my credit card to avoid late fees (didn't get my payment mailed off in time). I also might have packages to pick up. I wasn't expecting the extra expenses this month, but it is what it is (I wasn't able to schedule a bus for Saturday).

All quiet here, and I did go out into the lobby for a bit last night. We all had decent respectful conversation.

There was one neighbour sitting alone in obvious pain with a tumor the size of a grapefruit on the side of his face. Strange because his growth has only taken a matter of months to obtain this size. The ladies said he finally got a biopsy and is waiting for the results. This is a strange state, and of you don't have lots of money your treatments are turtle slow (I am very lucky to be attending the centre).

Sunday will be busy! I also intend on cleaning my carpets! It will make the day go fast. 😉

Have a blessed day 😘

Birdie 💖

Not at all! Views on religion are as many as grains of sand on a beach.

Thank goodness we don't all think alike, wouldn't the world be so drab if we were all the same?

Shopping with mom went great yesterday. Went to that new women's clothing store and the owner surprised me, said crossdressers are welcomed in too. Bought a couple dresses and pairs of high heels. Mom's birthday today and will be dressed as Hailey at her birthday party, she is 71 now and does well for her age getting around great.I have some simple repairs to do today

Got my second cup of coffee in hand and getting caught up on the activity here. Tired from two wonderful nights of back-to-back concerts with cis women friends. Tuesday night Bonnie Raitt in a small outdoor venue which was wonderful. Last night was Sheryl Crow opening for Pink. Pink was simply amazing.

Good morning 😘

I braided a couple loafs of Challah bread this morning, and will pop them in the oven this afternoon when I get home.

Off to the day-centre I go....

Good morning

i don’t know what I have but something is going on.  No fever, sinus congestion, cough and intermittently my ears I’ll plug up.  It doesn’t match Covid symptoms, it could be allergies, a cold or similar virus.  I’m going through lots of tissues and talking vitamins as well as cold and flu suppressants.

@Birdie how many strands do you braid?  I’ve tried 4 but didn't like the results. And I’ve seen instructions for several more, and of course a 3 strand is pretty common for lots of things.

I used 3 strands and this time rolled them into two buns. I then lightly moisten the buns and wrap the baking sheet in a plastic bag to finish rising.

Sometimes I just leave them in two rows, but I wanted round loaves this time.

Sounds delicious. We are baking bread also this afternoon. We just finished the wheat and corn harvests. My partners were hauling away the last of the stubble to the burn pile this morning.  I'm not much use right now with my broken ankle, but I can sit on a stool in the kitchen and make bread. Just our usual, basic whole wheat, and a couple of loaves of onion bread.

I also knew a lady that would braid three strands x3, then braid the braided strands together.

Her loaves looked awesome.

I guess this morning a participant was being difficult throwing the entire schedule out. The CNA had no choice but to finish with that participant first before attending to me.

The 10 minutes I spend on my hair came into question again, and management again stated that "cutting my hair" would resolve the situation if it ever comes up again. They can't guarantee enough time in the mornings, and meeting them halfway would be helpful.

As for me, cutting my hair is NOT an option. I would rather put it up in a ponytail if we are short on time.

How does the former relate to the latter? Also, no, you don’t have to cut your hair. They need to cut the crap!

Good morning.

I don’t have a lot of time, I open which means I have to be there by 4:15.  This virus I picked up is hanging on. No not flu nor Covid just plain old cold.

@Birdie first I agree, they can’t force you to cut your hair. No matter which gender they want to claim you are.  I like the look of your challah bread, I’ve never seen on quit like that.  Do you save a small piece of dough for the Lord?  And do you return it to the ground?  The three raided strands braced as a three braid bread sounds beautiful.

well, got to go.  It’s only a quarter of a mile but take 10 minutes to drive because of a very long light.

Of course, it's not Challah unless you do. I burn a small piece in the oven until it's inedible, then discard it.

We have a related custom here. We reserve a portion of the dough. But we don't burn it or bury it, we make it useful. If we are making a large amount of bread, we'll make a loaf. If a small amount, maybe just a couple of buns. Then we take it to our community's food distribution place, so it can be given to somebody who needs it.

The idea is that we are giving it to the Lord; we have guidance from Matthew 25:40 telling us that whatever we do for "the least" among us, we have done it for Him.

Good Morning all. It's been a while since I posted anything. I've been fighting to try and find a job after my incarceration to no avail . Been looking for a wiccan Coven here in newport news to try and join also to no avail. It's a little frustrating but Im doing my best to keep going.

An ex GF and I got together this morning, went as Hailey. We get along well due to we have a daughter together. It was not because of my crossdressing she is supportive of. We did fight and had issues was the reason why we split. Found out she went out on shopping trip on Wednesday with her mom and bought me a couple dresses with my name on them.I love them,a couple sleeveless knee length dresses in dark navy and black.

I was going to go out for pizza with my friends tonight, but I'm still hopping around on one leg because of my broken ankle, so I just didn't feel like it.  Still really tired, since I had surgery just a week ago.  The weather has changed here.  The last week was fairly cool, and even though the days are warm again the nights have a chill to them they didn't have before.  Its fire-pit weather now, so a lot of evenings are spent outside.  I'm probably going to curl up early tonight, because I already feel cold.  Consequences of being small, and also kind of weak right now.

Even though I'm fairly tall, I have a small frame too and I easily get cold as well.

Since I went on HRT I get cold a lot easier.

I used to be amused by women complaining about air conditioning, now I grab a sweater myself.

I'm not crazy about feeling cold, but it is a little affirming in a way.

My outfit for the Pride Festival

Got home from the Pride Fest. It went pretty well.  Really there weren't any protesters.  I saw a couple of guys with signs with them, but nothing really.  Someone told me they were up at the end of the block for a bit, but I never saw them. They did have a drag show.  I had never been to one.  It was okay I guess, kinda fun.  But this was "family friendly" and on the court square of course. I did see some people I knew, including my next door neighbor - which surprised the heck out of me.  I think she was there because a family member had a booth with baked goods. Didn't see the BDSM folks though.

Thank you @Betty K. They definitely matter and crest strong emotional and mental hurdles that try to trip me up daily. Sometimes I wish they away and others they scream at me and tell me I am a lie. The laser for my face has helped a lot, but it hasn’t taken care of everything—and I can’t afford starting electrolysis yet. I know it will be covered by insurance here, but I’ll need to be in network for quite some time before I can use it. I will also likely need new letters from a new counselor, too. Never mind voice training…   @EasyE, most definitely. It’s hard not to feel a burden on those we’d open up to.    @Ashley0616, thank you! Things could be so much worse, I fully realize. We can take the hits, but they still hurt. Others aren’t so lucky. 😢 Moving will pay off, for many reasons. Hopefully sooner rather than later!   Thank you all for being there for me!

@christinakristy2021 NOVA!  I lived in NOVA from 1984 to 2006.  The traffic drove me out.  I lived in Centreville.  Which part are you in?  We loved riding the bicycle trails W&OD, C&O Canal, Mount Vernon Trail, Capital Crescent.  There sure is a lot to do in that area.   After NOVA we moved to Stephan’s City which is near Winchester.   Willow
