New Gown

In March, I am attending the Keystone Conference in Harrisburg, PA,so I needed a new dress for the Gala.  Historically, I generally only buy from the clearance racks, but this year I just couldn't find a dress I liked.  When I stumbled across this one, I thought it suited me perfectly.  Still, ordering a $200 dollar dress is a bit scary.  I ordered it though, because I decided I wanted to make a splash at the formal this year.  Well, after it arrived and I tried it on, I couldn't be more elated.  It fit me perfectly, and is extremely flattering.  A couple of the reviews said the dress was too long, but given my tall stature, I couldn't imagine it being long on me, and actually, the length is nearly perfect.  I hope to get lots of pictures the night of the formal, and perhaps one will be good enough to post.

Hugs,

Sally

Woah. Very nice dress. If it looks good on you... it must be yours.

Thanks so much ladies.  It was definitely a splurge for me, but now that I know how it looks, I don't regret the expense a single bit.  Occasionally, you just have to indulge yourself, right?

Absolutely. Also something I didn't understand while pretending to be male. I owe a lot of women apologies for being stupid. I had no idea. ?

So right Jackie.  Guys just miss the joy of shopping.  They don't realize that shopping is therapeutic, really good medicine.

If you have spent that much on it, and it does turn out too long and may trip you, it is worth going to a place where they can do an alteration of the length. Some of the vendors at the conference may actually be local and do it for convention price.  I think the dress and style are a knock-out.

Well rats!  The adage "All dressed up and no place to go" immediately comes to mind now that Keystone is cancelled.  I guess I'll have to find another event to attend so I can show this dress off properly.  I'm thinking a hockey game probably isn't the best choice.
