Been testing underwear and I am not wearing a bra

Hello again my name is Julia.

I made a post a few days ago about my transition.

I have a little update. I have been testing panties and a bra.

I have decided to wear both. If feels new. I have also been looking at crossdresser gaffs.

Good for you Julia!  There’s nothing wrong with a little experimentation to see what feels most comfortable.  I’m glad you’re having fun with it.

What I really mean is one pair of panties. In the future I will get more fun stuff.

I will also get silicon breasts and two wigs. Thats going to be awesome.

This is my main site for stuff: Glamour Boutique

Panties are such a great start, so many colors and styles, so much softer, and they are so much more comfy too. For me at least, wearing a bra affirms that I am the woman I know I am. Good luck, have fun.

Yes!  I so loved the switch from tighty Whites to panties and bras.
They do make you feel so feminine even after you get use to them.  Jmo

I completely agree! I love wearing my panties and bras!!! I started to wear womens clothes long before I knew I was trans and now that I am sort of out, its so much more fun to go shopping with my wife. Such cute clothes that we both love!

I also have some silicone breast forms and I wear them all the time. I use the forms from janets closet. They fill my bras so much better than the sets ive gotten from Amazon.

Oh yes, there is something so affirming about wearing panties rather than the rough yucky mens stuff. And women must wear bras, no guy does, and a bra is the most gender-affirming piece of clothing. Men might wear a skirt or dress, but no man wears a bra. Hugs honey.

I cannot wait to get my bra off when I get home. I have also worked out a way to loosen it off when driving home in the car. It is an instrument of torture. How you can actually enjoy wearing a bra is quite beyond me.

Yes women wear them but dont really see it as something to be happy about. I honesty do not know one pal that enjoys being in one. sadly its a fact of my life and i have to with the way my girls are now.

Remind me to ask you that in a year or twos time. ?

It keeps the ladies from bounding all over the heath when I'm exercising, running or jogging upstairs.

That said, I'm not wearing one today because I'm not planning on leaving the house. Darn global pandemic.

However, it was very affirming earlier in my transition and also provided a platform into which I could put inserts. Having just the falsies in helped a lot with my dysphoria. Having the weight there felt right. I have high hopes that, eventually, my natural breasts will catch up with at least the small set.

I'm also OK with it if they'd hurry up. ?

Hugs!

I still wear womens clothing but I don't wear womens underwear. I will wait until I get the silicone breasts and the wig.

Honestly, I love being able to come home and put my bra on! It make me so aad to take it off in the mornings. Ive even gotten to where I'll put on a sports bra (flat with no shape) and wear that under my work clothes.

Go ahead and ask me in a year or two. Ive been wearing them with forma for the last year and love the weight and tightness against my chest.

Wait until you cannot wait to get home so you can take it off!   It will happen!

I still need To figure out my size and I think I bought bras that are to small for me.  Still trying to work out the correct sizing.  Yes.  I know. Go get fitted or try on a ton of then until you find one.  It’s a bit difficult these days to go browsing the bra section.

So I agree with @Maid In Bedlam that it is a relief to take it off after work.  Mine are AhhBra racer back style so very similar to a sports bra just not as tight in the cup area.  I wear a size L but probably should of gotten the XL for a more comfortable band size.

I measured myself just this weekend.  39” band and 42” bust.  I’ve lost a ton of weight and down to rib cage circumstances so this is actual band and bust totals.  The calculators are all saying I’m a 40C.  ???
Im not seeing it.
I just don’t have that tear drop shape, though my girlfriends and sister say judging by my pics they believe that measure.
We will see.

I have found that bra cups on me do not correspond to the equation used to determine bra sizes for most cis women. I’m a 37” band and a 41.5” bust. Using the bra sizing chart below you’d assume I could wear a 38D bra. Unfortunately, I do not.  I fit perfectly in most 38B bras.  Sometimes I need to use the second or third set of clasps in the back to get a nice fit but you’ll likely have similar issues.  I’ve read somewhere that the male chest is much wider so the breast tissue is spread along a much wider area making them less able to fill the cup.  I think this may be right because without a top and bra my breasts look like B cups.  It’s only when I am bent over in a forward position and allowing them to hang do they look bigger...even then they look no larger than a C cup.  LOL Anyways, you get the idea.  It’s frustrating even for cis women to find the right bra and trans women have it even harder.

Good luck bra shopping,

Susan R?

My bra size  was difficult to sort and, being of male dimensions and not wanting to wear forms, it took a while. I use 40 / 42 with AAAA cup which is reasonably right.  Unfortunatly the company I used (Dainty Lady) appears to have stopped trading, at least for the moment. I think they made to order. My bras are very comfortable so I tend to forget I am wearing. I do have a few (some still new) so I am Ok for a while. I agree with Susan here that the sizing will be skewed a little by male differences but would add that many women do differ. The bra suplier I used was directed at cis female shoppers, not the trans community.

YES!  This is why I do not think the chart is accurate for me.  Plus I have one way larger then the other which is annoying at best but I know this can be the case for all females.

If I went by that chart I would be an E or F cup. I'm most definitely not quite that big. Honestly, I think your so much better having a proper fitting. You can try on as many as you like. But you are clutching at straws.

Wearing a bad fitting bra is at best uncomfortable at worse doing yourself damage. Don't be shy to get a real fitting. I'm sure whoever measures you has seen all sizes and shapes. and all  genders for that matter. They wont bite you. Plus how more gender affirming would that be to actually have a proper fitting?

Id go today if these places were open or taking in customers.  Its a difficult time for shopping and trying on clothing.

I cannot deny that. The world has gone on lockdown. Well, it's getting that way.

Speaking of which. I was doing my grocery shop yesterday. From across the shop. It's a big shop. Supermarket size. Someone had a chesty cough. Honestly, it was like one of those old westerns when a stranger walks into the saloon and it all goes dead quiet and everyone stares in the direction of where the cough came from. I cannot deny I did it to ?

Anyway. Back on topic

I agree, most cis women don't even get a proper fitting. One of the greatest moments of my life was when I was able to be me and went to Nordstrom in Atlanta and had a real fitting (despite a lack of endowment). The women were wonderful, I wound up learning my proper size, and bought some other pretty clothes. But from a personal perspective, it allowed me to have the fitting I should have had decades ago with my mom.

I can see this as being very true.  LOL

Not being mean but some women are in need of help still.

I certainly look forward to being able to go and get this done and I am not fearful of doing so whatsoever.  As of today I have online shopping at my disposal.  Not much more.

My wife offered to help but her bras are 34B which I would probably destroy.  LOL

Dang Crovid-19 crap!

Sorrylate to party. Yes I love my bra's I have different types sports and daily and evening if I have a date. I can concur to what some of ladies mention above; I as soon as I can take it off I do. I never used a chart. One of GF gave me a couple of hers. She is small 34A and  they fit fine. So I decided to buy some more at that size and I  am very satisfy. As for panties I've being wearing nothing but woman panties and clothes for  the past 7yrs and I think I would feel weird with out then on..I have several  types gym, daily, evening and playful. good luck

It takes time to find the right bra.  Each manufacturer is a little different, so don’t be surprised that you are a different size in some brands.  I tried on various brands and styles before finally finding the bra I love. Fortunately there is a good color selection for my bra, so I can put on the one that best suits the mood I am in that day.  ?

Finding the perfect bra is worth it, as it is a great feeling when you feel confident and look great!

Happy shopping

I find when I wear a bra it helps a lot with my Dysphoria. Everyday when I get home from work I change into a Victoria secret 38b bra. My wife thinks I’m crazy because all she wants to do is remove hers and I can’t wait to put mine on.

I know that feeling exactly, it's affirmation of your self as you really are. In fact, for two weeks not needing yucky men's dress suits, I have worn heavy shirts or sweaters with my bra underneath. It helps the dysphoria and reaffirms who I am, not who my body displays. My wife thinks I'm crazy in general, it seems, telling me last night, I really wish you wouldn't wear them. She won't even call what I wear a bra and it's Victoria's Secret. Probably not a good omen when I announce that I am transitioning.

I have read some of it, mostly in areas specifically targeted at the LGBTQ+ peoples.   You also have to take into account what and who is behind the words, not just the words themselves. Together that creates context, right? Let's take some examples, under the Department of Health & Human Services section:   "Radical actors inside and outside government are promoting harmful identity politics that replaces biological sex with subjective notions of “gender identity” and bases a person’s worth on his or her race, sex, or other identities. This destructive dogma, under the guise of “equity,” threatens American’s fundamental liberties as well as the health and well-being of children and adults alike."   or   "Families comprised of a married mother, father, and their children are the foundation of a well-ordered nation and healthy society. Unfortunately, family policies and programs under President Biden’s HHS are fraught with agenda items focusing on “LGBTQ+ equity,” subsidizing single-motherhood, disincentivizing work, and penalizing marriage. These policies should be repealed and replaced by policies that support the formation of stable, married, nuclear families."   From a wording perspective, who doesn't want to protect the health and well-being of Americans or think that families aren't good for America? But let's take a look at the author, Roger Severino. He's well-quoted to be against LGBTQ+ anything, has standard christian nationalist views, supports conversion therapy, etc.   So when he uses words like "threatens the health and well-being of children and adults alike" it's not about actual health, it's about enforcing cis-gendered ideology because he (and the rest of the Heritage Foundation) believe LGBTQ+ people and communities are harmful. Or when he invokes the family through the lens of, let's just say dog whistles including the "penalization of marriage" (how and where?!), he idealizes families involving marriage of a "biological male to a biological female" and associates LGBTQ+ family equity as something unhealthy.   Who are the radical actors? Who is telling people to be trans, gay, or queer in general? No one. The idea that there can be any sort of equity between LGBTQ+ people and "normal" cis people is abhorrent to the author, so the loaded language of radical/destructive/guise/threaten are used. Families that he believes are "good" are stable/well-ordered/healthy, specifically married/nuclear ones.   Start looking into intersectionality of oppression of non-privileged groups and how that affects the concept of the family and you will understand that these platitudes are thinly veiled wrappers for christian nationalist ideology.   What's wrong with equity for queer families, to allow them full rights as parents, who are bringing up smart and able children? Or single mothers who are working three jobs to get food on plates?

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.
