Glee waxing strips

Has anyone else tried the glee strips? I tried them this evening and wasn’t exactly impressed with them. Over twenty strips just to do the lower half of both legs and it didn’t even get it all.

Until you have been on HRT for over a year, products made for women's hair are not going to be as effective on you.

I have been on HRT since July 2009 and I don't know where the time has gone, it seems that I still have the longings and desires for "Right Now!" still there in me, but someday it WILL BE years in the past for you.

If you are prepared to tolerate the pain of waxing, then I suggest trying an epilator. After I destroyed my wife's epilator after my initial deforestation (oops) I bought 2 - one for my wife and the other for me. I bought her the more expensive one but she actually prefers mine. This is the one I bought (which actually would normally have been more expensive than the one I got my wife - but it was on offer at the time).

I don't use it all over but it works really well on:

• Lower legs and up to mid thigh
• Backside
• Arms
• Stomach (but that is quite painful) and chest
• Back (as far as I can reach)

Don't use it on:

• Armpits
• Face 

I find that it is limited in effectiveness on upper thigh as my hairs are to weak and just break rather than get pulled out

For visual hair removal it's probably good for 4-5 days. However I still wet shave my legs a day after epilating to keep them really smooth.

 

It's great that it is cordless and can be taken in the shower as well as be washed.

 

For the bits of my back that I can't reach with the epilator I use this:

Which works surprisingly well and can be used dry.

Thanks for the tips @Niamh. I’ve thought about an epilator, just don’t really have the money at the moment. 
 

Question though, is that back razor hard to use? I’m honestly afraid I would turn my back into hamburger.

I was a bit worried about it at first, but (unless you have any moles or skin scarring) it just glides lightly over my back and you can hear it cutting the hairs. It feels smooth afterwards (those bits that I can reach) and looking in a mirror I can't see any evidence of remaining hairs. One thing to be aware of (as some have mentioned in the amazon reviews) - don't get confused by the instructions. The 3 shaving blades are already fixed in the back razor and are not separate when it is delivered.
