The official timeline is between six months and three years. Age, genetics, etc... are all factors. I've also heard, anecdotally, from other girls here that they've seen development over five years or longer.

As an example, I'm at around two years and the girls are still developing. I was a late bloomer for puberty v1, so I imagine they'll keep going for a while yet. Slow and steady.

Hugs!

As an 11 year veteran of HRT, parts of mine have taken the whole time and have gone through sensitivity stages that were a bit of a problem in the short run. (Ticklish at one point, and erotic overstimulation at another)  At 3 years, just before my GCS I was a B cup and pretty perky near the nipple.  Six months after GCS I had a growth spurt, but it put the tissue under my armpits and widened the growth around the nipple.  I have a couple of girlfriends who had had implants at 2 years before GCS in two cases and an orchiectomy in a third and all three had growth spurts post surgery, and it was bye bye implants due to health reasons.  Inches are only part of the program.

Hei Andrea,

I am 30 months inn and depending on the band size I am a large A or a small B. I heard it said that us older girls can expect slow growth for up to 10 years before topping out. I am quite happy with what I have.

I'm 7 1/2 months. My growth has been slow, but steady. No real spurts. Almost a B cup now. So far pleasantly surprised with my results. My endo just increased my dose of E, so we'll see if that has any effect.

LUCKY girl - I've been told to expect 1 cup size smaller than my mom's and she was hardly an A so I hope I don't get a negative size.

I think it was close to a year before I was satisfied it wasn’t just wishful thinking.   But I’m kinda old, and my E dose is pretty low.   Kinda funny but I never thought to keep measurements for reference.   Probably 9 or 10 months (On E) I realized I needed to be carful not to bump into things, and hugs could get interesting.   I started HRT almost 2 years ago, but have only been on E for about 15 months.   I’m not on T blocker because spiro nearly killed me.  Doctor said it isn’t necessary (?).  I have A cup bra, and it has finally filled.

I thing the big thing for me just feeling the girls actually being there after all those years.  They just feel right.

Perfect attitude. Sort of like a friend of mine has this attitude when asked what is the best age to be - he says - whatever age you are now.

I actually just posted a comment in the Good Morning all Topic, Ive noticed more growth at my year mark.

At 9 months, I'm seeing both a faster rate of growth and a lot of sensitivity (last month, it slightly hurt to roll on my tummy in bed; this month, I completely avoid even trying).  Also, in the "it happens to a lot of folks" department, for the last month one breast has continued on with development (with a very sensitive bud) while the other seems to be taking a bit of vacation from development.  Not too concerned; I've learned to stay cool and enjoy the journey.

I have my 6-month follow-up with my gender clinic doctor soon, and it'll be a great chance to ask her my stored-up questions.

Yeah this.   They seem to act as individuals.   But this is true for chic girls as well.

Mine started at about about 6 weeks on HRT. Right around 4 months I had to go bra shopping. Not that the girls really needed any support but I was find them poking through my shirts and bumpy roads a little painful. Also my band size appears to have gone down.

i've been on HRT  11 months and my breast started growing in my 4th month. They were mostly just big nipples that throbbed sensitive  now i have more breast tissue i can not hide them people see them now lol. I've heard your breast continue to grow for up to 5 years im so happy about that because i don't want surgery breast i want natural growth from my body.

I’m 4 months in and right around the 3 month mark they really started growing I’m just about to the point that I have to wear a bra. I’m happy that it’s almost at a have to stage instead of the want to.

I was on hormones for about 8 months. I quit for 3months. I'm an a cup, and my left puppy is bigger. I've  been massaging the right 1trying to get it to catch up. Been back on hormones for a week now. Feeling happy.

I’m a bit late here so I don’t know if anyone is still posting.

I think I have an unusual pattern of growth. Maybe some one would like to jump in.

I started HRT last year.  Blockers for several months then progesterone 11 months ago.  So after 10 months of that combination nothing was happening except a lot of wishful thinking.  Then suddenly I started having some pain on my left but know.measurable change.  I finally got on E or more precisely DEP.  two weeks ago.  Virtually immediately things began to change. Pain started in the right side.  Now looking in the mirror I swear the shape is changing but still no size difference.

im sure most would question that less Han two weeks from nothing to changes but it’s true.  The only thing I can figure is the the pump was primed and just needed a little help to get moving.

Thought?

That's not all that uncommon. Shape changed first for me too. In us older women, it takes time for everything to come in. I was about... oh, a year in before I got to see some changes I could actually measure. There's been better growth since the GCS too. Even with all that, development comes in bursts. I'll get super sore, then it throttles back for a couple weeks, then there's another spurt. Keep in mind that it takes five to ten years for the HRT to be done changing your body. It's not going to happen overnight and it takes longer than it would have back when we were teenagers.

Thanks @Jackie C. good to know.  We all learn a little bit about our road less traveled from each other.

I want to say thank everyone as well for letting me know what to expect. I had prostate cancer with radiation early this year. I asked for estrogen, but urologist says not yet. I can't wait to find out what estrogen does. I never realized how much I don't like testosterone until it was gone.

Hugs,

Mike

I was on progesterone for probably 6 months before I could get E.   I didn't notice much until the E kicked in either.

I'm like that too.  I like the idea of "that's all me" there.

I'm not trying to impress anyone.

I am out to all my doctors and have been starting with my primary care within days of my therapist working it out with me.  I go to two medical associations it’s right there for any doctors that are part of the association to see.  The second is also a big association were I go for my endocrinologist, psychologist and psychiatrist.  It also has my status AND my preferred name.  I have a new PC whom I’ve only seen once but he also only calls me by my preferred name, and he’s never seen me as anything but male.

Willow, I've always believed there are two entities you should never keep in the dark about your thoughts and actions. They are your Doctors and Lawyers, thank goodness for HIPAA and Lawyer Client Protections. Everyone else is on a need to know basis.

I'll add that it can make a real difference which doctor you choose.  I "fired" my old (male) PCP, who was clueless about gender non-conformance, and was so fortunate to find a (female) PCP -- at the same practice, no less -- who had interned at the gender clinic I go to as part of her rotations, and is wonderfully supportive and helpful.  It's been like night and day for me!

Had a new neighbor come over last night and we talked getting to know each other more.Saw there was something about me when we first met.Nice to me and I did tell her I am transgender. Then she opened up to me,said she is like me.Her name is Natalie, she lives and dresses as female since she was 23.Said since she was 5 years old as a little boy, alway liked the feminine clothing and had the dream of wearing them.Like me,she lost her parents at age 23 whom were very controlling of her and knew it was time let the inner woman side of her to come out.She is married to a very supportive wife, wife loves it.

What do you do to make someone else feel better or just smile?

EXCITEMENT The feeling when you expect something good or nice will happen to you. You cannot wait for it to happen. You feel excitement when something very nice is about to happen. For example, when you are about to see a good friend who just returned from a year abroad, when you just received the keys for your new car, or when you are waiting in line for a thrilling rollercoaster ride. In each case, you are experiencing eagerness and impatience in expectation of the upcoming pleasant experience. Excitement is more likely when the anticipated experience is both novel or unique and desirable. It is especially intense if you have been waiting for a long time to obtain the goal, or when excitement is shared with other people and the event makes you feel like you are part of something bigger.

https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/several-attorneys-general-made-abusive-legal-demands-get-trans-patient-rcna147910     This is a complex issue and I'm no expert, but the actions of these GOP Attorney's General don't pass the smell test.  Their motivations and actions are highly suspect and they lack any credibility.  What else is new, right?  I guess it will all come out in the inevitable court fight.   Carolyn Marie

I went to work with my husband today.  He asked me this morning if I wanted to go...of course I said yes.  I enjoy being with him, and getting away from the house for a little while.  He spent half the day in his office, which I think is why he asked me along.  He made a nest in the corner for me, where I can plug in my laptop and do my stuff...nobody minds me being there.     But today ended up with a strange opportunity.  I had a conversation with my husband's boss, the company owner.  They want some basic graphic design work done, so I think they might hire me to do it.  Nothing fancy, not nearly as complicated as what I've attempted to do for our county.  So I have a meeting with them on Monday, just to look at some details and see if I can do the work they want.  And especially talk about when they need it done, because I still work pretty slowly.  I don't really need or want the money, but its nice to feel like I can do something again.

I went to WM today with the objective of buying sandals: they would be women's, but look like men's; they would be brown or black, not white.  I realized the cheapest way to go  was to go for flip-flops, which I observed were prevalent in the store. So I checked out the women's.  Flowers. White shiny straps. Nothing that could possibly be men's. The best deal was one flip flop for $3.98.  At first I thought that was a pair, then, nope.  And because I comparison shop (is there the same thing in men's?) I found the cheapest over there was $6.98 for a pair of flip flops in green that also match my women's cargo shorts that I love.  Doing the math, finding the pink tax.  Rip off.  I have found a blue tax this way, but usually they charge women more for something than they do men. I guess women tend to lose one flip flop at a time or something. Weird.  The pairs were a lot higher.   So, following my rule, but unhappy with it, I bought the green men's flip flops.  They were the cheapest.  Later wife of mine complimented how masculine I look in my matching shorts and flip-flops.  Inward groan. We have not discussed the Subject in a long time because I think she forgets it is there as soon as the conversation ends.  Or she is trying to talk me out of this.  Not sure.  We only discuss it when necessary, and how often do most couples discuss whether one spouse is one sex or the other? Outside of here, I mean.  So we very seldom talk about it and she is happier if she does not know about it. Super stealth.  I do the laundry and I shower in the shower in the wing away  from the master bed room so I have my own shower.
