Ok, Thanks Liz. I called my insur. co. today and they aren't in network either. I called planned parenthood of Indiana and they don't do HRT. Hopefully there is someone close by that does it all that is in network. I think Howard Brown might be the only full service place close by. I guess I have my work cut out for me. In the meantime, my wife said I should get my ears pierced. I said, hell yeah! Going to get some diamond and yellow gold studs.

Hey Jamie,

I'm sorry to hear it's becoming a thing trying to find a place. Have you considered straight out asking your insurance provider? Maybe they can point you in the right direction.

I only asked about those two specific places. The next step is to ask them who IS in their network for full service LGBTQ care. There has to be someone in the Chicagoland area. They have a search engine if you log into their portal that has shown to be utterly useless so far. Thanks for the advice.

Five months in today!

Slow progress I suppose, maybe a slight growth in the breasts since last report, skin a little softer.

I had thought outward progress would work on helping inner turmoil, but surprised to have a more proper balance of hormones has done wonders for the inside so much faster than outward changes happened.

My first pass at that sentence I read, "maybe a slight growth in the breasts since last night." I was ready to be all jealous. ?

The mental changes are amazing aren't they? Just the ability to properly THINK without all that mental static is worth the price of admission. It's like when my heavily ADHD cousin finally got properly medicated and he was so very happy that he could finally concentrate. It's a beautiful thing.

Hugs!

Today marks 6 months since starting...

Skin has gotten soft enough that I can tell the difference when shaving. Breasts seem to be getting a more obvious shape even if the growth is slow.

Emotionally I've gone from stressing over gender to regret over waiting so long. And now also getting upset when for whatever reason I stick to the closet in certain relationships.

@RhondaS, the 21st will be my 6 month anniversary. It doesn't feel like its been that long but I counted it up on the calendar and it actually is. My changes have been subtle but I can tell they are there. Like I'm losing weight easier and in places that a woman would and I'm gaining weight in other places. My skin also feels softer, the body hair is slowly getting lighter in both the amount and color (love that). My voice is becoming higher and my face seems just a little more feminine. I'm not sure but I think that my head hair is starting to come back, I could be wrong, it might just be getting longer and making it look like its coming back.

There are more but if I were to list them I would need a 1000 page book to write them all out. I love them all.

XOXO Holly.

@HollyNoel Yay! It will be interesting when I (we?) start running into people that haven't seen me (us) in months to see how subtle the changes are...

@RhondaS, So I just signed back up to Facebook yesterday, I thought I would refriend people that I was friends with but when I did, I didn't say who I was. Of the 20 people I asked to befriended only one person recognized me. and they were floored. After about an hour conversation I asked him if he would have dated me, he said yes, but knowing I used to be his friend, it was a no. I'm not into him but if I were I know I could get him. lol

But anyway, every time I go out I kinda wish I would run into people I know that hasn't seen me since my change. Damn! It hasn't happened yet. lol

XOXO Holly

@RhondaS Nope. I don't want anyone from my old life to think of the old me. Like a snake, I shed who I was and came out someone new. If they figure it out, I won't hide it. If they don't recognize me then that's great IMO, its the way I want it. I just want to see if they know me.

XOXO Holly.

Yes, maybe, looked down changing clothes and thinking that I might need a sports bra soon if I'm gonna wear any of my tighter summer shirts...and there was discussion of going to the beach this summer and wondering what I'd have to wear in the water...

7 month anniversary for me today, since I'm a baby trans I'm still marking the time by months.

Maybe the only difference I notice since a month ago is there is some sort of hint of cleavage that's visible no matter what, instead of hiding and appearing depending on posture at the moment.

Emotionally still feeling everything a bit more than old me, and surprised myself by laughing uncontrollably at some stupid twitter thread last week...can't remember laughing like that outside of a really funny show or movie in a long time.

Eh, I kept track in months up until my surgery. I had to go off HRT for six weeks and it completely spoiled my count and I'd forgotten to take note of the exact day anyway. I'm just counting in years now because I don't have a good tally anymore. I started in 2018. That's good enough, right?

Jealous of the cleavage though. I got a lot of nothing. You can see it when I've got the girls corralled in a bra, but just walking around I'm still pretty flat. I think it's karma for teasing a less-endowed friend back in high school.

@RhondaS congrats on 7 months - I'm at 9 months - but I'm even a little more anal - I'm finishing week 39.

@Jackie C. it's a sort of a smidge of a hint of something where cleavage would be, nothing to get too jealous about!

@Ava87 Thanks!

@Shay I stopped thinking about it in terms of weeks when I got to a month but congrats on those 39 weeks. Are we no longer baby transes when we hit 9 months?

8 months in today.

Doing the old 'ooh things are changing' mode alternating with 'dang, when are things gonna change faster' mode.

Still stuck in weird limbo between full support from wife and no support/divorce from her.

Need a pill that provides patience.

That has to be rough. I hope she makes up her mind one way or another. Knowing, even when the news is bad, always seems easier than the anticipation to me.

Hugs!

Good morning, all!!! Cloudy today with some light rain coming. Not a day to work outside.   I will vacuum the house and the head out to our local hardware store after I get cleaned up. Time to buy a new bird feeder for the back porch.   I'm sorry the job didn't work @KymmieL! Hang in there.   It sounds like a busy time for you at work @Willow. Finding reliable people is so hard these days.   Time for another cup of coffee before I start cleaning!!   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given.

Nostalgia is an emotion. It is the feeling of enjoying events from the past. People with nostalgia will often look at or use old things that they were familiar with years ago. This is because people feel more connected to those past times that they enjoyed, usually because it reminds them of how long it has been since they last connected to such past times. Examples where people may have the feeling of nostalgia includes watching old TV shows, using old technology that was very enjoyable, and playing with toys that you played with as a child. These memories are usually misleading, and can make someone wish that they could be young again, even if their childhood was mediocre. Human brains often leave out boring or bad memories, which can cause incorrect feelings about their childhood.

CAT FACTS A cat's jaw cannot move sideways. The only domestic animal not mentioned in the Bible is the cat   A house cat’s genome is 95.6 percent tiger, and they share many behaviors with their jungle ancestors, says Layla Morgan Wilde, a cat behavior expert and the founder of Cat Wisdom 101. These behaviors include scent marking by scratching, prey play, prey stalking, pouncing, chinning, and urine marking. Cats are believed to be the only mammals who don’t taste sweetness. Cats are nearsighted, but their peripheral vision and night vision are much better than that of humans. Cats are supposed to have 18 toes (five toes on each front paw; four toes on each back paw). Cats can jump up to six times their length. Cats’ claws all curve downward, which means that they can’t climb down trees head-first. Instead, they have to back down the trunk. Cats’ collarbones don’t connect to their other bones, as these bones are buried in their shoulder muscles. Cats have 230 bones, while humans only have 206. Cats have an extra organ that allows them to taste scents on the air, which is why your cat stares at you with her mouth open from time to time. Cats have whiskers on the backs of their front legs, as well. Cats have nearly twice the amount of neurons in their cerebral cortex as dogs. Cats have the largest eyes relative to their head size of any mammal. Cats make very little noise when they walk around. The thick, soft pads on their paws allow them to sneak up on their prey — or you! Cats’ rough tongues can lick a bone clean of any shred of meat. Cats use their long tails to balance themselves when they’re jumping or walking along narrow ledges. Cats use their whiskers to “feel” the world around them in an effort to determine which small spaces they can fit into. A cat’s whiskers are generally about the same width as its body. (This is why you should never, EVER cut their whiskers.) Cats walk like camels and giraffes: They move both of their right feet first, then move both of their left feet. No other animals walk this way. Male cats are more likely to be left-pawed, while female cats are more likely to be right-pawed. Though cats can notice the fast movements of their prey, it often seems to them that slow-moving objects are actually stagnant. Some cats are ambidextrous, but 40 percent are either left- or right-pawed. Some cats can swim. There are cats who have more than 18 toes. These extra-digit felines are referred to as being “polydactyl.”

Good morning,   I over slept yesterday was a couple minutes late clocking in.  But no breakfast or coffee.  Got caught up but it was go go go all morning.  I had to ask for a refresher on how I was to enter something but once I got a quick answer it came back to me.    @KymmieL sorry Ford didn’t work out.  We are always looking for good reliable people, I could get you a job here but the commute would be rough.  Today I have three audits to get done, plus other things during my shift on top of the regular things.  Since I am opening that puts me in the drivers seat.  The Asst Mgr comes in part way throuh my shift but she will have to handle customers while I do the work she would be doing if she opened. Tail wagging the dog.  Guess she’s getting punished for not following the Mgr’s requests.  They do tend to butt heads a lot.     Butting heads with people is a thing the Asst is known for.   @awkward-yet-sweet do you think just maybe this new graphics request was in the offing?  And why you were asked to go to work with your husband?  Obviously, he cares about you a lot and is trying to do things to help you.   speaking of meeting people @Adrianna Danielle we have a youngish customer who comes in frequently, I’d like to approach her but I’m just not certain yet.  She still dresses male but has long hair and early chest development.  My approach, if I ever decided I should would just be supportive but I really can’t be sure that is what is going on here or what and I would not want to make a big blunder if that’s not what he is doing.  A male with early teen boobs doesn’t want to be noticed.   well, I can’t be late again, I’ve got to leave now.  See you again later for afternoon tea and crumpets or scones. Mmm scones!   lol   Willow

Well, HIPAA is basically useless for keeping government out of your medical stuff.  It doesn't seem to prevent employers from making workplace medical demands either.  About the only thing it seems to do is keep somebody's sister or spouse from having the tools necessary to help you when you're in trouble.  As usual, government made things worse and added unhelpful red tape.  I really doubt HIPAA will be any use in the area of trans rights either.    Honestly, I don't see anything good will come of this no matter how it goes.  If some state AG's win on this, it will cause issues for trans folks.  If the Feds win on this, it'll be a precedent to stomp on states' rights even more than has already been done.  And I'm not sure which way things go will make a difference when it comes to officials from one state trying to do nasty things to people who have left that state and gone elsewhere.    What a crap sandwich... and no matter which plate it gets served on, "We The People" get to eat it.
