I tried to dress up a little bit more than usual today without going hyper-feminine

It looks very professional and what one might wear to a dinner event.

Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind.

Hugs!

You look adorable! I love that jacket on you. And what did  you do to your eyes? Wow! Gorgeous! You must have the biggest grin behind that mask!

That jacket looks super cute on you too. And I love the eyeliner, it looks like waterline, it makes your eyes look smokey.

The eyeliner is Lorreal infallible long wear pencil in gray. I bought it on a whim a few weeks ago. The color is very intense and it lasts all day even with the occasional eye rub. Even though the casing is plastic it’s pretty easy to sharpen.

I absolutely love this jacket. I won’t mention it to your wife but I get to borrow it next! ? Seriously though, I’m not sure if I’d look good in it but you sure do. I hope your wife doesn’t see you in it...she might get a little jealous!

I didn't take any selfies yesterday, but wanted to share my outfit choice just the same.  The high temperature was 22 degrees Fahrenheit, so I decided to wear tights again. They were my dense black ones and I paired them with black lace up booties, a red skirt and a powder blue, button-down cardigan. Had to wear my heavy coat while I was out doing errands.  Went to the bookstore, got coffee at Starbucks, grabbed a box of wine and my last errand was a stop at the local florist to get flowers for my wife for Valentines Day.  I wasn't about to let the cold put a damper on my day.

Oh, and yesterday I wore black, coffin shaped nails.  I didn't think I'd be fond of black nails not being much into the goth scene, but they actually looked awesome and I got two separate positive comments, so obviously others liked them as well.

I don't often comment on what I dress in male mode - but this is probably as valid as when I am Niamh given that I consider myself to be genderfluid. Anyway - even when I am in male mode, I'm never fully presenting as male. My body hair is not there (maybe a few slip through but get picked up in a day or so). I haven't worn male underpants for 18 months - so today I'm wearing red lacy Brazillian style knickers (sorry - not showing those!), and because it's been below 5C I'm wearing tights. In this case patterned fishnet type tights, and because of the little air pockets they create underneath my trousers - my legs have been nice and cosy warm - far better than when I wear opaque or normal tights. On the top I'm in a T-shirt and a fairly unisex fleece. Outside I go in an orange winter weatherproof coat (which again is unisex in style).

My wife accepts that having removed nearly all the hair from my body I need tights on my legs to stay warm. She's not overly happy about it, but doesn't make it an issue if I'm outwardly presenting as male on the days we have agreed. I consider myself very lucky that we remain together and she even compliments me when I get my style right on Niamh days.

Going out to do some shopping with the kids of mine staying with me this weekend. We're off to find some yellow nail polish so that we can finish doing the pan and nonbinary flag colours on my nonbinary kid's fingernails.

Happy Valentine's Day, btw.

I bought a couple more tights and leggings to wear around the house. I can’t believe how comfortable these are.

I've got a couple of leggings, one that's for actual serious wear in public the other for costume. Have some panty hose, but tights are something that I don't have. They definitely look comfortable.

My Valentines dinner outfit.  I'm very jealous of my wife's dress. lol. I like mine but it's challenging to get "cleavage" at this point which is what that dress kinda needs. lol My dress is a maxi that spits in the middle up to just above the knee so you have to be aware of how you sit. ;)?

@DrayseI love that whole outfit!

@ElizabethStaryea, you might have to work out a sharing arrangement with your wife on that jacket, it looks great on you. It kinda makes me wish I still rode motorcycles ;)

One of my employees was purging and gave me a few tops and yoga pants. I decided to wear one for work today. I like the way this one fits.

Both you and your wife look wonderful. You are very lucky to have someone who is so supportive. I consider myself lucky that my wife is accepting and allows a degree of freedom to be Niamh for about half of the week (I know many wives are much less tolerant). It's lovely to see you being able to be romantic with your wife (that's a step too far for mine).

I'm ridiculously lucky for that support and love. She is an amazing woman.  My son was in town and he helped prep dinner and took that photo for us. Then things devolved as more drinks were had and my wife had to prove she was better in heels than me and broke out some 5" heels to race around the table.  I had just run up and down the stairs in mine (2") and my son instigated the whole thing with his comment that he thought I had learned heels faster than my wife. hahaha. It was quite a show.

Yeah but you have longer legs which should be an advantage over short distances right!?

I'm thinking about some interactions yesterday I did, while presenting as male but acting as female, that were far better than I did when I was presenting as male and acting as male.  #girlunderhood. I do a crappy job at acting as male and I am giving it up.  I am not talking about feminine gestures or presentation but just relating as a woman.  People don't realize I am doing it but it is a whole lot easier to do.   You don't just put on a dress and BOOM you are a girl.  You are a girl and you put on a dress.  Or not. Whether I am in jeans or a skirt (I wish, wife would have lots to say) I am a girl.  I don't need $250 in makeup and heels and hose and all that.  I don't need surgery. Honey, I have arrived.  Now I have to work out how that best works in my life, causing the minimal damage and creating the maximum good, but I have more working room.   Oh, and I am still pissed off at everyone and everything. #Contradictory.

@Willow it is certainly possible that my husband planned it. Placing me in the path of an opportunity....he certainly does things like that. GF has done some work for the company as an outside consultant, so I'm sure the company owner knows what potential resources are around.    It could also have just happened randomly. He has taken me to work with him before, just because he likes to have me around. I remember one time that I fell asleep with my head in his lap, and he held a meeting with his subordinates without waking me and making me move.  The company culture is family oriented and relaxed.

The photo is great.  Software is phenomenal but it also is sort of a promise of things to come. Years ago this sort of thing took a photographer and Photoshop and all sorts of things and you would say, "I can look like THIS??"   Me, I am a duck.  That's from my driver's license.  Just kidding.

I lucked into that picture. I took like 10 before that, which appropriately make me look like a donkey. ;)   Thank you so much for the compliment!

This is a great analogy. The statement is true as it relates to the tree. The analogy fits because we as a LGBTQIA community are stronger when we stand together. It also work here on Transgender Pulse Forums. The support I feel from so many others has made me comfortable with my stance, because I'm in a beautiful forest of friends. So when I'm out alone and confronted. I can respond and act like the single tree in the field, surviving whatever comes my way. My roots reach back and communicate with others like me.    Standing Strong,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      M.   The term bigender works for me because after taking the time to explore my feelings, I kept coming to the same conclusion, that while I felt an overpowering need to express my inner woman, I also enjoyed being a man.  I realized that my personality was equal parts man and woman and to be happy and fulfilled, I needed to express both sides.  There are challenges living a life of two-gender expression, but I'll expand on some of those in future posts.     Hugs,   Sally

Sally, a moderator can edit the post adding "Post 3" if you would like. Let me know and I'll be glad to take care of it. That way your numbering system is in tact.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I thought Hey, I can't be experiencing Gender destroyer because it doesn't fit the narrative, but Hey I can. I am experiencing mild discomfort in relation to my gender. Because and that can be a form of mild form of it this forum because their elements of my gender that are out of alignment with my sign gender at birth. There are elements of my gender I have been holding back on some I did not even know for fear it did not fit was told was not very manly or in some other way not correct for someone who is an amab. I tried embracing and expressing some of these parts of me even for just a little bit every once in a while and it feels like a relief to me like a weight has been lifted.
