@Niamhthat's an amazing look!

As promised I wore the new "jeans dress/tunic" I found at the designer consignment place yesterday in the $10 sale.  It's a Michael Kors !  My wife already stole my athleta top SMH. Her response was this is why I'm so happy you transitioned. lol. With her permission I added her to this post to show you what I hope someday to wear myself haha.

Talk with a hairstylist about "if I had hair, what would be a great short look for a wig"?

Oh, that's a good idea. I can bug Roseanne! Thanks!

Hugs!

I'm still in my pj's. It's 5pm and there's no point in changing.

I've had days like that. I've also had days when the only reason I got dressed is because I needed to wash my pjs. Today is my one hoodie and a pair of boot-cut jeans. I haven't showered since Thursday and I feel gross. Definitely showering before bed tonight.

Hugs!

I can honestly say I've never had a PJ day haha. I have Border-Collies requiring six walks a day, the first at 4:30 in the morning. I'm so paranoid about beard growth, so its full makeup or nothing. I will admit to not bothering today, just pulling on some man-clothes and kept my hood up, ignoring the world.

Drayse, they were secondhand Ebay specials. I did have to redo the heels as they were worn out. A bit of glue and some heel rubber off ebay and they are all good. I think in the end they cost me $45 Aussie dollars.

Since I know nothing about womens fashion brands is Vince Camuto any good ?

They feel great and I loved the fact I didn't have to go through the pain of wearing them in ... LOL

What are some thoughts about nylons and pantyhose? I have a couple of short skirt outfit ideas in my head and want to wear something nicer than leggings underneath.

I would totally wear that outfit Robin. You look great. I need to jump into the bracelet game. I love yours.  I've borroed some jewelry from my wife since she loves my tastes and gets to steal mine too but none of her bracelets go over my hand/wrists.  I'm on my own there I guess.  Your Camuto boots are considered a good brand. Not an elite brand but when you find them new in reputable stores they sell for around $125-$150 American $. Once they are a year removed you can find them in the outlet stores for $70s US so $90 Aus.  Great find!  I also love the way your sleeves gather on that top.  Well done, I hope we see more of your fashion on this thread

Absolutely need them in your wardrobe.  I have basic nude and a pair of black that have a little pattern.  I wear control top to help with my belly. Side note, they help keep things in place with tucking without using gaffs. Treat them well and they last a reasonable time. They will inspire you to maintain uncaloused heels   lol

Do it Liz. I wager you would rock a little skirt and pantyhose. Maybe some nice heels to complete the image.

I do have one reservation. When you say short. How short do you mean? Remember the saying Short enough to be a woman but long enough to be a lady does spring to mind.

One of my wife's biggest concerns when I started getting a woman's wardrobe was "age appropriate". lol. Her spouse support group kept telling her '"Be prepared for her to make teanager clothing choices"   I guess the tendency is since we are newer to the clothing scene and have suppressed ourselves for so long we tend to go "hyperfeminine".

That's a very good question. It would be mostly with a mid-skirt that hangs about mid-calf. The one I'm wearing a few pages back. I'd like to wear it with booties. I have a pleated mini that hangs about mid-thigh. Realistically, it might be too short for me (I still have something to hid) and last, two t-shirt skirts. I also see some dresses in my future so who knows. Actually, I lied, I have a dress, hanging in my closet. I was given to me, it's a little on the classy side so I don't know when I'd wear it.

Bri we have all done it. Im no exeption to the rule. If you want/need to pass as the phrase goes (I hate that term but it seems to be used often by others) then being 50 coming on 18 is not the way forwald. Its just a matter of not sticking out and dare i say being the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. Your wife  has been given good advise there and I would have advised the same. In an ideal world you can wear whatever you want but as we all know this is not an ideal world.

As above what i typed out to Bri. You can still wear a skirt. But be a woman and a lady about it. Look what suits you age and rock it as i know you will.

Im no fashion Guru just a woman that is wise to the world. I think ?

Good morning, everyone! I've finally pretty much finished with this head cold. I actually got 5.5 hours of straight sleep last night without taking any cold medication...or waking up to pee. I feel amazingly rested!!   Oh, @Willow, you are in my thoughts and prayers that your throat issue becomes less of a problem over time and not more.   I'm, hopefully, going to get our grass cut today. It takes me somewhere between 2.5 and 3 hours on the zero turn mower but the ground is still so wet that I'll have to slow down a bit. At least it's supposed to be sunny and around 60.   Have a wonderful day!!

We have had some real dillies come out as the initiative sort of thing, but as @Carolyn Marie said, very few make it out of the petition signing seasons.  I am not surprised at the origin site of this thing, it is probably one of only 3 regressive leaning counties we have in the state. We actually had one of these initiatives started to make it mandatory for police to shoot dead on site any Gay behaving individuals wherever they found them.  For the most part the matters are poorly written in ways to be unenforceable even if enacted.  Thus most never become law or get to the voters.

You make some good points, AYS.  But there are usually already too many ballot propositions each election, so the proponents know it's best to wrap it all up into a nice package.  Plus, it's easier for the signature gatherers.  Otherwise they have to have a separate clipboard for each proposition.  Too much paperwork, dontcha know?   This kind of proposition is a loser in CA, so the only possible way the proponents can succeed is to give it the scariest title imaginable and try to put one over on the voters before they get wise.  Bottom line; an ice cube on a hot summer sidewalk has a better chance of success.   Carolyn Marie

Reading that article, it seems like the attorney general gets to call it whatever unless its an outright lie.  Given the nature of politics in CA, it seems like one side has the bully pulpit for sure.  Labeling it "Restricts Rights" vs "Protects Kids" is very much a matter of perspective.  Unfortunately, that matters since many voters don't bother to read.  Perhaps a better (unbiased) way to handle it would be to simply give the ballot measure a number with no title, forcing folks to read it.    I think it would have been better to handle the various issues covered by the ballot measure separately, rather than all at once.  For example, issues relating to disclosure of medical and social information to parents.  That could be its own ballot measure, rather than lumped in with everything else.  Besides, shorter and more succinct measures are more likely to be read completely.

This reminded me of an individual who, due to child sexual abuse, lived as a woman for 15 years, detransitioned and noisily insists that all trans people have his story.  His name comes up fairly often because it fits the narrative.   I don't know that anyone actually has been railroaded.  People may say it, they may look back at what happened and decide that happened.  It's a he said / she said, but it feeds a narrative that is useful for those who are already convinced that trans people are abuse victims first and foremost.  That the detransition rate is so low tells me that railroading is not actually a problem, and I regret giving the impression that I thought it was.  That so few detransition is a success story.   What is pertitent at heart is that people hear and believe all the stories out there, and the story we have to tell is not heard, because TG folk are, after all, untrustworthy in their view and unworthy of an audience.  Somehow it needs to get out there as to what the real situation is.
