Hot Hot Hot.  (not me, the weather hahaha). I haven't worn this top in almost 7 months. I forgot how much I like it.  Broke out some big hoops too.  I realized when I got to work why I haven't worn them in a while....what a pain in the ass with masks that go over your ears.

@MaddeeI love that top you're wearing.  You look great!

@Linda Marieas always- pure class.

I'm with all of you on the whole "fitting in". I like to wear nicer clothes and show a little style but not trying to shock anyone with who I am.

I agree with that wholeheartedly .

I like my legs so thought I ought to show them off today. Shame my colleagues can't see them when on video calls!

Can you stand out, and fit in, at the same time?

Maddee, I think the answer is a resounding yes!  I always try to stand out while fitting in.  I think the tactic will be different for everyone, but the end result is the same.  I fit in by dressing and behaving appropriately, but I try to stand out by showcasing my femininity.  I tend to go for dressier outfits with feminine flair.

Today I'm wearing a nice flower print dress. I really wanted to take pictures outside in our garden but weather

is not cooperating.

Love the dress @Linda Marie

I made a tie dye t-shirt last night so had to wear that and some NYDJ shorts I found at the thrift store (what a deal, normally $70 new for $5!).   More importantly but not visible, I went to Victoria Secrets to see if there was a solution to a natural fitting bra for 38A.  They said that size isn't made by anyone really for off the rack BUT, 36 B is the same size cup which is made and you just put a hook extender to get the width so I now have a VS push up bra that actually fits!!!

It only has a little padding so it feels like it's mostly me and not "fake".

Had to go get some blood drawn today.  It's an hour drive up there.  But they also have a goodwill outlet store up there.  That's where you buy stuff and pay by the pound.  A lot of my stuff has come from there.

Got this skirt today.

A year ago (or more) I was in the habit of going into town on Saturdays to just hang out maybe have a beer, etc.  Now I've had my shots, and things are starting to open up a little here in NC, so I made it into town today.

Stopped at the bookstore and picked up a book. A little embarrassed, I told the lady I had developed a taste for trashy romance novels.  Turned out she was an enthusiast also - heh heh.

Then I went uptown and stopped in at one of my old haunts and had a couple beers.

It was really nice to be getting back in circulation.  Man I missed it.

A fan of romance novels too.

Used to read pirate based stories where the girl falls in love with the dreaded pirate. Cowboy/old west based ones as well a Victorian era.

Half Price books is where I used all that stuff even dated a guy that I met there.

Guilty. Though I prefer them with a little adventure. And lesbians. Love me some well-written lesbian romance novels.

Hugs!

I recently read "Written in the Stars" by Alexandria Bellefleur. Loved it. I'm starting to think the only reason I never used to be into romance stories is because so many of them involve a guy as half of the couple!

Actually, I've had it for years.  I was just afraid to let anyone know.   I was pretty transphobic in those days.

I can deal with that, but it's really not my favorite. They don't even have to be explicit. Just a nod to actual romance and maybe alluding to, "Yes, this couple has sex but you don't need to see it," and I'm fine.

Hugs!

Hi folks,

I've been out of the loop again for a while. Picked up a new skirt and top which I wore today. Forgive the beard, but I take a break from shaving on my days off and I haven't had the opportunity to start electrolysis yet.

Pictures also taken at different times of the day. ?

Had lunch with my wife and in-laws. My wife insisted I dress more masculine for the occasion. I chose this outfit and she was happy with it. I was still able to wear some makeup and carried my purse.

@Sally Stone, I have enjoyed reading this thread immensely. There certainly are some things in it that I can relate to, particularly when you wrote that "I wasn’t a man trapped in a woman’s body." This simple statement confirmed two things for me; I am not an imposter here, and I could end up much further along the path than what I imagine now.   I very much look forward to your future posts here.   I hope that by posing this question I'm not committing you to spoil future posts, but can I ask, why you have settled on Bigender as a label? I keep changing my label and have no idea what it might be tomorrow or next week or next month!

This whole Cass Review thing is breaking my heart. I keep imagining how it must be to be a trans kid in the UK atm. I am halfway through reading the review so that I can effectively refute it if and when people cite it here in Australia.

One thing I took on board from a former boss who was an absolute gentleman and fluent conversationalist but a hopeless leader because he was the classic yes man to his superiors, was to take the emotion out of the equation when arguing. Don't use hyperbole. Don't exaggerate. Stick to what you know and defeat your adversary with logic. Of course, your adversary will double down and make an even bigger fool of themselves, and not even realize that they have lost the argument, nor will they realize that people are laughing at them and not with them. It also helps if you can separate them from their minions.   A conservative elderly uncle, who left school at the age of 12, swears black and blue that taking Ivermectin (sheep dip) prevents Covid because he knew someone who knew someone else who took it and despite that person being momentarily in close contact with people who had Covid, didn't come down with it. "Well, you're the one with the science degree!" I said.   A lot of people argue out of ignorance. They base their points on populism and rumor. I rarely argue, but when I do, it is in an attempt to push back. Another favorite saying that I use is "Rumors are started by haters, spread by fools and believed by idiots." I then ask, "Which two are you?" 😉

Good morning, all!!! Cloudy today with some light rain coming. Not a day to work outside.   I will vacuum the house and the head out to our local hardware store after I get cleaned up. Time to buy a new bird feeder for the back porch.   I'm sorry the job didn't work @KymmieL! Hang in there.   It sounds like a busy time for you at work @Willow. Finding reliable people is so hard these days.   Time for another cup of coffee before I start cleaning!!   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given.

Nostalgia is an emotion. It is the feeling of enjoying events from the past. People with nostalgia will often look at or use old things that they were familiar with years ago. This is because people feel more connected to those past times that they enjoyed, usually because it reminds them of how long it has been since they last connected to such past times. Examples where people may have the feeling of nostalgia includes watching old TV shows, using old technology that was very enjoyable, and playing with toys that you played with as a child. These memories are usually misleading, and can make someone wish that they could be young again, even if their childhood was mediocre. Human brains often leave out boring or bad memories, which can cause incorrect feelings about their childhood.
