This is a double slit skirt that I wore to Denver Pride on June 27th. It’s my favorite skirt except for when it gets windy. It likes to fly ?.

Haven't been to the one here for a few years.   One reason I liked it was I could loose the britches for a tunic.  How could I not see?  Internalized transphobia strikes again.

Thank you. I started growing it again in May 2020. I just recently had it styled a bit. There's plenty of gray in my locks.

Wearing kilts (I have 4) was my way of coping with my dysphoria. I learned to sit in a skirt before I came out.

@Erica Gabriel your hair must grow quickly - I let my semi-long hair start when the pandemic hit and it is a bit longer but sadly too much T far too long - I hope to have a topper made when I'm allowed to come out to my step-kids and grand-kids (my wife is ok to let them know when my daughter's father-in-law passes - he's dying of bone cancer and has already outlasted predictions of 6 months - it's almost 18 months - but I heard he is going down quicker now). I hate to wish death on anyone but I kind of would like to see him pass before too long. 

And gray hair - heck - mine to pretty gray and that is another thing I'm trying to convince my wife of - letting me play with lightening and adding some color - oh well - I'm almost 1 year HRT, have changed my name and am feeling wonderful where I am so far and look forward to the phase passed the kilts....

@Erica Gabriel Ah, kilts. What I didn't know then . . . I  must have intuited.

At a costume party when I was nine years old (1957), I wore a plaid kilt. I begged my sister to sew one for me. Not sure why I picked it, but I was determined after I saw pictures of Scots men in an encyclopedia. I wore a plaid bathing suit underneath, which was prudent because there were many up-skirt actions by both the boys and the girls. But I got respect. The girls liked it a lot and the boys respected my courage—though in all honesty it was naivete. I was a good dancer, thanks to my older sister, so I got lots of opportunities to show it off. I only wore it that one time, but my memory of it is strong. I kept it in my closet for years, as I remember now. Now I know why. It makes me smile to remember this.

One of my daughters sent me a link for some kilts when I was first coming out.  I thought about it, but figured why?  I just started with skirts, I mean, why half step it?  It wasn't like I was trying to maintain some level of masculinity anyway.  It was already too late for that.

Whatever it takes whenever half measures will do so be it. I played a leader of one of the whatever-you-call-them in Brigadoon and the kilt didn't feel wrong but it didn't help my dysphoria either - kind of neutral - but that was me then.

First time buying. Wife got me leggings before but I actually got to shop for clothes. Don't ask me what style I'm going for, I have no clue. I loved every bit of them until I got to the long dresses with the plunging necks. That's the quickest way to remember.
