Audrey, you are wearing my favorite feminine style, "business" style.  And girl, you are rocking that outfit!  I also agree that you are wearing a million dollar smile.  Isn't it wonderful when the look you trying to achieve comes together perfectly?

Lizzy,

I adore the boots you are wearing in your last picture post.  I have a pair from Torrid that look similar and I love them.

I think I might be settling into a style I like. Now if could only find this top in black.

Oh, that would look nice! You need a little contrast though. Have you considered off-black?

Hugs!

Audrey, I love the outfit. David Tate's are one of my favorite fast fashion shoe brands, and they make larger sizes!

Finally got unpacked from the move. Today was casual with embroidered levi's, simple t-shirt and a cardigan. Hair by 30 MPH gusty winds. lol. I didn't bother with my hair today since I'm going in for a hair appointment later. First one in about a year! Just going to get it cleaned up a bit. Plan is to let it grow another 5-6" I think.

Had to do some Holliday shopping.   Around here, that pretty much means a trip to WallWorld.

On the plus side, I was correctly gendered.  That felt good.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful compliments! @Sally Stone The feminine business style is my favorite too and I love how the suit flatters me so well even if it is polyester and only $69. I felt absolutely amazing all day in my outfit - I might even call it gender euphoria, meeting people who treated me like I have always been a woman. I am so happy to read you had an experience like that today as well @Jandi !

@Bri2020 It is lovely to see you again! I love the warm color of the cardigan and I am excited to see your hair after your appointment!

@Amber76 Your lipstick color makes your smile radiant!

Love,

~Audrey.

I should have taken a pic right afterwards but here's the new cut. She just put some layers in and took an inch off the tips. Framed my "bangs" a little.  She loved the way the curls defined, especially in the back and asked permission to post pics to the salon instagram. When they post them I will share the link, I'm sure they're better than my dark room at bedtime pic. lol

@Bri2020 I just love the curls Bri! They turned out just lovely and how flattering that the salon asked if they could share on social media!

This top is one of the projects I've been working on for the last couple of weeks. It's more of a test piece for a 3d printed chainmail I designed.

Does the 3d printer print it out already linked up or just the individual links that you snap together? It looks amazing!

@Elizabeth Star How heavy is that? It looks like it would hurt your shoulders!

❤️Thanks. It prints sections with the rings already connected then I just connect the sections together. The star inlay is a separate piece that I had to "cut-in". It took a little over 250 hours to print and connect all the sections. It would have been faster for me to make it out of steel and copper but with the printer it was hands-off. I was able to set it, forget it and do something else while the machine did it's thing, it's also super light compared to steel and a lot easier of my hands.

3d printed plastic is pretty light. My medium of choice was always aluminum which isn't bad either. Now if she'd gone traditional and made it out of riveted steel... that sucker would be heavy. It also would have taken just FOREVER to do. It's less weight on the shoulders than you'd think though, the weight is pretty distributed.

Hugs!

I actually used to fight in maille. A full shirt and hood. I made it out of 14 ga steel. And yes that sucker was HEAVY.

@Elizabeth Star Yours definitely looks prettier and a lot lighter than my old set lol

@Elizabeth StarThis is a good question, and by the time I quoted the question you answered it down further on the thread. The number of hours are amazing.

Liz the chain mail is really cool well done.

Everyone is looking fabulous as always.

Been trying to practice with lighting using my cell phone cam.

Not sure if I like LED or fluorescent but the cell cam is so limited in what it can do. This is the top I had on today.

Plain colors just don't work to well for me I need color LOLOL.

I tried on a mid length pleated  almond color skirt with the almond color long sweater I had on and I felt like a light bulb. It was pretty but too much of one color

It's kinda weird how these people are so worked up over making these laws.  They would have no effect on cis people either way.  Yet they are the ones with the obsession.  They ought to just stay out of trans people's business.

Bean burritos are still popular in my family.   Black eyed peas are the one legume I'm not fond of.  I need to add lots of onions. And of course always cook your pintoes with fat-meat.  And for y'all yankees, navy beans with a big ol' ham bone are hard to beat.

Seek out community, not just online but in person if possible. Making trans friends is a pretty quick and easy way to gauge if you have much in common with them.

It certainly could be classed as dark humor.  Unfortunately the sentiments alone must hurt young trans folks.  Decency and reality doesn't seem to be in the GOP's vocabulary.   Hugs,   Charlize

Good morning all,    It’s a frosty morning here the lawn looks silvery, and the uncovered spring flowers have icy edges on their leaves. The only flower bed I covered was my tulips. As nice as it is here during the day, our clear wind free nights allow the temperatures to drop into the mid twenties. Here in our growing zone it’s recommended that you not plant delicate plants until Mother’s Day. Central Indiana can have snow as late as the third week of May. The birds are active at the feeders, I’ve had my cup of yoghurt and morning meds. So I’ll sit here, drink coffee and watch the as the sunrise chases the frost from the yard.    @awkward-yet-sweet I could eat black eyed peas as a side for every meal. Boil them plain or with fatback. Served as a leftover, just add in a little Rotel Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies.  Make the best of your day,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Had a weird dream last night.
    • Mirrabooka
Morning, y'all. Evening here; we had the regulation three mugs full today. Now it's time to drink something else.     No big plans here either, eldest daughter and granddaughter will be arriving on Saturday, and we will have our granddaughter to ourselves for a week after that. We still have plans though. Tuesday we'll go to the swim center, Wednesday we'll take a road trip to visit my mom, Thursday we'll get some mulch delivered to top up the gardens.   I still make other small plans on a daily basis though. The things I do plan nowadays, which is a bit new for me, is that after pinching a nerve and ending up in a bit of pain and getting some treatment from the physio, I am more motivated than ever to exercise more regularly. Tuesday for example, I went for a short (15 minute) early morning walk, went to the pool for some hydrotherapy, and mowed the lawns. Yesterday I did my exercise reps and spent some time on the exercise bike. Today, I went for a 45-minute walk, tomorrow I will do my reps again and go for a long bike ride. As long as I do at least one thing every day, right? The pleasing thing is that I'm losing weight! I blew out to above 95kg early in the year and I'm just under 91kg now. Yay me!

What one piece of advice would you give to beginning transitioners or considering transition?
    • Heather Shay
Positive side of the mixed bag.
    • Heather Shay
Boredom is an emotional state that comes when a person has nothing to do, and is not interested in anything. To stop boredom, most people do something to occupy or amuse themselves. The first known use of the word boredom is in the novel Bleak House by Charles Dickens, written in 1852, but the saying to be a bore had been used to mean "to be tiresome or dull" since 1768. When referring to the mind, boredom is a bad state in which the person feels a deep lack of interest in what is going on around them, and where it is hard to focus.
