Y'all look so great!!

I can't post a photo just yet but I am wearing an abstract patterned blue dress and kind of polka dotted black tights, but then I took one of my men's button down shirts that is black with white buttons and I put that on over the top, buttoned it up and tied off the bottom at the waist. Then I accessorized with three necklaces including my quartz crystal one, a big blue floral ring, a small pretty silver and blue costume ring, eyeliner, mascara and a super dark red lipstick that I am OBSESSED with. This is the 4th time I've ever done any makeup at all and for those who messed up the first few times, it gets easier the more you do it!!

My fingernails are painted Lincoln Park After Dark by OPI and my toenails which I painted for the first time ever a few days ago are Peach Side Babe by Essie. I am also wearing my glasses which I luckily love and my hair looks really good today! I have never in my life felt this good about myself!

I’m lucky. 🌈🌈

Recovery seems to be turning a corner this week.  Less pain.

So fortunate this year.

(I’d like to think the thousands of squatting & lifting at work helped a little,
But this surgeon definitely took it to another level

Looking forward to dressing up a little sometime…

Anyone like pencil skirts?

I have one denim skirt cut a the knees. I can't do it with softer material because somethings are better out of sight.

Love them. I have a couple--one in black and the other is part of a suit combo that I don't get to wear very much.

I'd have to say, Santa Fe has gotten nicer looking 😉

You two you like you are having a great time @Billie75B

Yesterday I picked up this formal dress from someone in the neighborhood. I say "someone" because I don't actually know her. However, there is a project called "buy nothing" that is set up as hyper local on facebook.  The deal is someone organizes a group for the small area you live in and instead of blinding donating or throwing things away, you post it in the group and see if a neighbor needs it.  You see everything from a pack of sodas that someone bought but didn't realize it's the kind no one in the house will drink all the way to major furniture.  Anyways, sometimes a gem like this comes along. I think this will be a xmas party dress this year.

@StephieGurl Santa Fe is on the list as a top city for LGBTQ+ friendly and believe they lived up to the reputation as we were treated with total respect. @Bri2020we had a blast, this is the first vacation that truly enjoyed and finally being me not the fake guy.

Hugs

Riley.

Wow that really is a nice find! Looks great!

Today I went for the first time to get my makeup done. When I came home a parcel waited so I did jump in. Need to practice tucking but I'm really happy with the style 😊

Yeah, this happens.  I suppose it's one reason (or the reason) I try to go a size larger than I'm supposed to need.  Sleeves can be too tight as well.

Some websites have sizing charts that you can use to get an idea what you can get away with.

But for me, shoes are just impossible to find.

Too true. @Ivymakes some excellent points. FOr me, it's worse with blazers and jackets--I have to go up a couple of sizes, and shoes are nearly impossible to find in my size. (I wear a size 14 in women's shoes.)

Torrid is a good source for dresses, especially for us bigger girls, as are SHEIN and ROSWE if you shop online.

Finding a dress that fits perfect is next to impossible. Loved the black one Maddee.

The past two days I have been living in a bathing suit since I got a new paddleboard. We have gorgeous weather in the forecast all the way to my surgery date so I plan on avoiding covid by staying on the water.

This is a new bikini top with an old skirt suit bottom. first pic was from last evening, the second is me just sunbathing on the board in the middle of the lake this morning.

Tomorrow will be a different lake for a sunrise paddle. Plan on getting out in the twilight just before dawn and doing a morning sunrise salutation

Since I graduated from medical to regular bras I though I wear one of my signature outfits for the day with my favorite black knee high boots.

Did they provide a diagnosis, follow-up treatment, medicine?  I agree with Vicky, that it seems like they treated you well, which is great.   Carolyn Marie

The way things are going, this country won't be recognizable in two years, nor will we have a Constitution that means a damn.  The admin is already trying to impeach any judge that dares disagree with them.   Carolyn Mair

I love the lighter nights and warmer weather, its a great time to start outdoor hiking and our usual yearly walks, I am going to have to watch my weight, i am 59kg my average tends to be around 62 kg if i can stay around 59 kg i am not too much bothered. but spring is a time of planting up flowers on my balcony and attending my hanging baskets, Mia loves the cat mint and loves to watch the butterflies.

I love doing exercise, more so in the summer, i can be quiet strict with my diet, i do eat red meat and potatoes, its about finding out what works for you and being realistic. When i first started on hormones i had my weight checked by the endocrinologist at hospital every three months. I tend to worry a lot too so that might be one reason why i do not gain weight easily. when i go on very long walks say around 30 miles friends will say have your brought anything to eat? i never did only bottles of water to keep me going.

Thank you MaeBe for always being there. I really do appreciate you. I hope things are going better for you and family.   Thank you HeatherK I will tell him you said happy birthday.   montyone well I can talk with you. I'll try to make it a habit to check the forums more often. I just have a lot going on. As you can tell by my post count, I was very active. I have kids two boys and doing house renovations on top of it. Getting a new floor put in because I have only had concrete for a while because the HVAC flooded the floors and of course the laminate wasn't waterproof. What I selected now is plus I love the look better on this. I'll post a picture.

Exactly.  This was the rationale used to prohibit LGBTQ+ people from the military in the first place, back in the last century.  They said it wasn't being gay itself that made you ineligible, it was the fact that you had to hide it, thus making you vulnerable to foreign blackmail.  And of course, the reason they had to hide it was because they'd boot you out if they found out.  Total circular reasoning.

We did yoga at ballet school it was the first lesson of the day starting at six in the morning. Yoga is important to ballet because its about mind, some of the exercises in ballet could be really painful, part of yoga was about pain management and working through the point of pain. If you thought about it you would tense up and that would make it worse. The butterfly pose or a variation of it was to have someone stand on your knees and push them flat down to the ground, a teacher would then go behind and pull your body back until your head touched the ground. Never do this pose it has to be supervised and is usually done once the body is warmed up and your mentally relaxed. Once you manage to relax the teacher would lift your head your partner stopped standing on your knees and the teacher would then pull you forwards by holding your hands until your face touched the floor, the teacher would say relax and work through the point of pain. The important part is to keep your knees to the floor, so, why do they teach this for classical ballet? well its because we turn out our legs, eg first and second position, fourth open fourth closed and fifth, known other wise as positions of the feet.

They're arguing they're not targeting trans people, just people who have or have ever had gender dysphoria. Really? Draw a Venn diagram. One circle is trans people, another circle is those with a diagnosis of g.d. The intersection is nonempty. So is the section containing trans ppl who never had g.d., albeit much much much smaller. But the section containing ppl with g.d. who aren't trans? Although... imagining such an assessment became mandatory for all military personnel (talk about a waste of resources), my guess is it would reveal more about the spectrum of gender incongruence than they bargained for. Just sayin.   This is something I think more people should be aware of: If common mental health issues are labeled ‘incompatible’ with service, advocates fear troops will ‘go underground’ https://taskandpurpose.com/military-life/executive-order-mental-health-troops/

Hmmm -- I have several Dansk friends that have gone back to Denmark in the past year.  Some had been here nearly 50 years, but the mother country kept looking better and better.
