🤣😂 @Erica Gabriel Now that sounds like a thread/blog I would read with interest!

l had a few regulars who would answer the door only in their dressing gown (and always men?!) when I delivered takeaways for a while, but to be fair they always covered the essentials, and they tipped best! I live in a small village and the postie stops and chats (well, waves from a distance now), and everyone knows male me so yeah, for now I try to be discreet.

I am in leggings and a green tee today and the only difference between today and yesterday afternoon is that the tracksuit bottoms are only around just in case I need to speak to the postie in a hurry.

@DeeDeebeing a postie I really appreciate your discretion. I have stories..........😳

That sometimes happens with me, particularly in the summer when I wear a mid thigh skirt, bare legged, around the house and garden. As the post is addressed to my male name the delivery guys / posties probably do have stories to tell. I am on friendly terms with our usual postie though so no real issues. It's probably easier for them at the moment as they are not generally taking signitures, just placing the parcel on the ground as they distance. Being friendly and un-embarrassed usually defuses any situation.

I had planned to dress up a little for Turkey day but after cooking for 3-1/2 hours I just wasn't motivated. I ended up wearing black leggings and a Transformers T-shirt. For obvious reasons I giggle a little when I wear that shirt.

If only it took US about three seconds of screen time and a grindy noise to get where we need to be...

Oh well. I'm still dressed for the gym in my "If you want a perfect girl, go buy a Barbie" tank (gym time pays off, I can ROCK a tank) and my boot-cut jeans with the neat stitching pattern on the sides.

Hugs!

I went down to my work yesterday. They're collecting boxes for our move. I'm on a vacation day so I wore what I wanted. Except my gray leggings. They were MIA for the last month. I found them while doing laundry later in the day.

That's a wonderful look, Liz! Nifty boots, and your watch even matches.

Seconded. I love those boots. Are they comfy and do they come in a size 13?

Thank you. Honestly I don't know if they come in bigger sizes, I wear an 11. It took a few weeks to beak them in but they're good now. Got them at store called Off Broadway shoe warehouse.

@ElizabethStarYou wear it well and look great.

My weight loss is causing me to buy smaller clothing, even my workout clothes are starting to sag. While shopping today my wife suggested two different times that we look in the women’s section. Inside I really wanted to, but I’m nowhere near my goal weight to start that. Once we got home I started trying things on, showing my wife how they looked and fit. She said I was like a teenager, every time I walked through the house I had on a different outfit. I’m finally wearing slim/small in the men’s Adidas, Nike, and Under Armor.

I don't have to go anywhere today, so I'm wearing my Maryland flag hoodie and my darth vader pajama pants.

Now that I'm quite sure I won't be throwing out my lady clothes anymore, I've begun to treat myself to some things I've always wanted...like fur lined moon boots.  They're so comfy and wonderful.

Just a simple top and skirt. Although now that I look at it I kinda look like I’m pregnant in this picture.

My maternal grandfather was a 1st lieutenant then demoted to 2nd after he refused orders to charge out of the fox hole he got stuck in for two weeks in the Ardennes region. Sadly, he died before I was born. My paternal grandfather, who just died last year, had the less exciting job as a communications officer stationed in Egypt during Desert Storm. 😅He always had the most "interesting" stories about the locals. Who knew the Wars would never truly be finished and still we be in a pissing match over things that should have been made blatantly clear and finished. Makes my head hurt and stomach turn.

LOL.   My son bought a late19th century farmhouse.  He has been a very busy fellow.   Willow, you should just get a nice big flannel nightgown.   That will take care of it all - and be very comfy.

Oh hey, mine too. My paternal grandfather was Navy, my maternal grandfather was army. I completely get it, I am not wired to process the whole "fascism = good!" mindset these people are spewing. Everyone involved in the coup needs to be stripped of their office and jailed for a very, very long time.   Hugs!

      haha, sorry-not sorry.

A good number of those bozos need to be locked away and be banned from serving in office again for treason. Both my grandfather's served, and one served during WW2 and fought against actually Nazis. So I'm beyond dumbstruck and fed up with this nonsense.

@Red_Lauren. This is so great to hear. Everyone of us girls needs that friend that we can talk to when we can't talk to our family about the stuff that's going on in our lives. The first person I told was my best friend Jessica. And because of her being accepting, it gave me the courage to start telling other people. I hope she will always stay your friend. And remember, you will always have friends here.

In my case it was grand children who were a bit younger but from what you tell me about yours, they will be pretty flexible and accepting. You have not taught them to fear and hate people who are different.  The only HEAVY question my GK's asked me was if I would still like them and do things with them.  A simple Yes answer and one went back to playing with Lego's another went over and practiced their piano, and for the youngest it was bedtime. That was 2012 and last spring my eldest grand child came out as Trans and the 2 grandson to 1 granddaughter count change to 2 granddaughters and a grandson. the two younger siblings have no distress with it and my "new" granddaughter is in a performing arts High School where I have met some of her classmates through volunteer work I do with the local LGBTQ Center.     I used two gimmicks to explain my Trans life with them, one involved two jigsaw puzzles (about 36 pieces each) where I put the pieces for one puzzle in the box of the other and told them to put the puzzle  together as shown on the box covers.  They got the picture easily from that metaphor.   With groups I am in I use another illustration.  I have two cheap hand mirrors that I hand around, one is an actual clear mirror, but I have pasted a picture on the other one that is a far out space alien concept that does not look human at all and tell them that to a Trans person their daily mirror is the space critter.   Hope that helps.

@Red_Lauren. This makes me so happy to read! Thank you for sharing your happiness with all of us, and I hope those were tears of joy. It's wonderful to hear that your friend is just as supportive to you now as before. I imagine this will make your relationship with her even closer. I have a friend who is also like a sister to me. She was the first of my friends to know, other than my partner. It was hard to tell her too - how would she react? - but now in hindsight, it was the best thing I could have ever done for our relationship.   Love, ~Audrey.

Bri's fault! Had to listen to this after one of her comments in another thread.     Of course I AM kind of an amazon so...   Hugs!

Today was the day I came out to a friend. Who is more then just a friend. I view her as the older sister I never had, or asked for. She has been one of the most supportive persons in my life. So me finally coming out to her. Was a big thing, and a few months of keeping it a secret from her.    I wrote her a letter. As I was nervous to tell her in person, and there was some stuff in it. That is personal. That only we would know.    It was definitely more emotional then telling other people. Probably because of our relationship, and my hormones. I got the reaction I knew I would get from her. We both fought back tears, till I couldn't hold them back any longer. Now I wish I would have taken a day off from work. I'm that happy.

More importantly, I want it to be writ in the clouds whenever one of the bozos in congress votes against the well-being and interests of the people they are supposed to be representing and/or popular bills.   Hugs!

I'm right now holding my breath dear Chuck doesn't drop the ball, and instead drops the filibuster rules(tears them up and sets them ablaze), so we have less noise and more fixing. Those simple rules and guidelines can always be put back later but for now we don't need the filibuster rules.
