I do love sweater dresses! This one is a black Talbot's Fair Isle dress along with cream colored tights and black knee-high boots.

I started growing my hair out two years ago. I went to our hairdresser every 5 weeks and had her trim it up. This week, I had her shape and layer it. I'm beyond happy.

Although I know I'm far from beautiful, I'm just feeling pretty today. At almost 70, I can delude myself if I want to!! lol

I'm pretty untrusting and skittish right now, but I waited 4 months to do my fingernails like this (first time on my hands), and well, it was totally worth the wait!  Anticipation and being unsure/questioning along the way can create a sensual intellectual space.

Enjoying these processes.  Design isn't my strong point.  I'm an engineer mostly, but I've been working with fabulous designers and illustrators for decades and I pay attention to what they have to say and do my own practice.  And I adopt some of their ideas.

That isn't even really a computer special effect.  It's simply me taking a picture of my computer screen with my phone and then zooming in and out of it on my computer again.  I've used those effect filters in Photoshop about 5 times in my life.  This is really kind of like digital screen printing.  It's a screen thing with the wires.

Black tee over denim trousers. Very androgynous.

The centre made it very clear they have no DEI policy and my attire will reflect that. 17394478779582822358115978285090.thumb.jpg.eb8f5ef7e7973638a70df96649cdfd8a.jpg

What does DEI have to do with anything?  Especially christianity?

Sitting by the fire reading Jennifer Finney Boylan's second book wearing a red/black/white plaid skirt over black tights and black ankle boots and a black sweater as the snow falls.

Snug band measures at 44", I also pull a snug bust measurement as I have a lot of side boob measuring in it 52". That placed me at an FF UK cup (starting point).
Best fitting bra I could find is a F cup.

F cup 'fruit equivalent' is the size of a grapefruit. That's just about right.

Being right at 44" in band means that my bras as they stretch don't fit right quite rapidly (I'm on the last row of hooks already). I'm going to try a 42 inch this weekend to see if I can make it fit. Perhaps a t-shirt bra because they have more stretch.

This morning's bra I pinched off a half of an inch of fabric under each arm and hemmed it on my sewing machine. That took 1" off the band. It's a perfect fit on the last row of hooks, so it will last for awhile.

Still cold here so I have a chance to wear another sweater dress. This one is a blue button collar with light blue, green and pink specks over red tights and wearing tan ankle boots. My earrings are Frank Lloyd Wrights red and blue "Coonley Playhouse Window" design.

I need some opinions. I'm putting together the outfits I'll be taking to the 5-day Keystone Conference in March. I recently bought these leather-look leggings and wonder if they are too young a look for this almost 70 year-old woman.

Off-white sweater tunic over black faux leather leggings with black tights and green Bellini Vera boots.

@April Marie I agree, I think the black leather leggings would not be ideal for a conference. They suggest more of a night-out, young look than a professional one. The white sweater and booties could definitely pull off the professional vibe though! Perhaps try them with a straight leg or bootleg pant instead, in black or possibly like a dark heathered grey. You can also style with some statement earrings - a necklace will get lost in the cowlneck, and the sleeves are long for bracelets. How do you feel about the length of the sweater?

Happy styling!

Love,

~Audrey.

Thank you for the ideas, Audrey. The sweater is actually a tunic meant for wear over leggings or slacks. There are nightly dinners out and then social time at the hotel bar afterwards so I'll probably take the leggings. I have a red sweater tunic that will also work, I think. I'll probably skip the booties and just take black and brown pairs since they'll go with anything. I've been told that most women wear tunics or sweaters and leggings/jeans during the conference sessions and then many get a little more dressed up for dinner.

Today I had a Dr appointment at the VA in Cheyenne. So, I dressed in a slightly above the knee sweater dress, knit white stay ups and ankle boots.

Unfortunately, I had to go to work after, so I had to change into my typical work clothes. Jean, T-shirt and tennies

Well, Happy Wednesday...  I am not terribly enthused about the stuff I have to do today. And it is gray and rainy outside.  GF's kids are driving me crazy 🙄   Thankfully, GF is on her way home. Finally. It has been almost 4 weeks. Hopefully she will stay around home for a while and make herself useful, instead of scampering off into her own little world right away.

Happy Birthday, @April Marie. Hope it is a great day for you.     Well start my training in my new job today. I have put down that my preferred name is Kym. Maybe I should have did Kymmie. For a more authenticity  but didn't want to push it. Not knowing if anyone there knows my wife.   Other than working on the wagon. My wife has me building a shed in the back yard. A place so I can get the lawn care stuff out of the garage. If the forecast holds, I won't be working on it. looking at light rain later today.   Kymmie

A calming thought can be a simple sentence or phrase that helps to reduce anxiety or stress by shifting your focus towards positivity or a sense of control. Examples include: "I am strong, calm, and stable," or "I've done hard things before. I can do it again," says Erica Layne.

With pressure from James mum, that she wanted children and James not wishing to tell his parents, up came a job in the United Arab Emirates he took up a job to repair military jets for the Saudi Gov He later got a job teaching others the skills that he had gained over the many years in the royal air force. My mum dad and sister loved james, he was a real romantic, we did the usual trying to keep in touch best we could but it was heart wrenching, he wanted to bank enough money for a house and sadly over time we drifted apart.
