Physical changes all ready?

Yesterday was officially four weeks on hormones, and up to this week. I only noticed a few minor things. Nothing to really right home about till the last few days.

I've noticed a few "growing pains" over the last few days. One I expected down the road, and the other. If it is what it is. I'm suprised at 35 its happening.

The first one is chest muscles are sore. I can't say it's work or gym related. As I've been doing nothing different. So its not muscle fatigue. After doing some research. It seems like the girls are starting to grow, but I could be wrong.

The last one just popped up yesterday. I got up to go to bed, I felt a soreness in my lower back as I was walking, but went away. If I walked chest out, and proper posture. Usually if I have back pain. I have to walk like a hunch back of Norte dame, but this was lower. More towards the tailbone area. Where I never have issues. After a bit on Google. It sounds like pelvic tilt. Again I could be wrong. It doesn't hurt to sit on that area, or lay on it like my back would. If its that. I would be surprised.

I just know between these two new pains. Sleeping was impossible last night. As I sleep on my side or stomach.

@Red_Lauren.Congrats to one month on HRT! It does sound like you're having some noticeable effects. Like you, I feel like I am constantly in tune to my body for every possible change or feeling that could be a sign of HRT's influence. I'm convinced of everything, but sure of nothing. I relate to the assorted aches and pains - right now, it's my upper arms for some reason. Hoping any pain you're experiencing now will diminish with time!

Love,

~Audrey.

I feel as if it was normal aches and pains. I probably wouldn't notice it as munch. Its just in area's that I never really felt soreness in before. I feel that is why I'm noticing them.

I had that early too. Warm compresses help. For me in the beginning it was more of a staging-prep kind of thing. They didn't really start to grow until later, but they hurt kind of a lot while they were getting ready to "launch." I mean I'm still just an A-Cup, but I've grown slowly but surely for the last two-ish years. I'm hoping for a B eventually but I'm older so I know it'll be on the slow side coming if it ever does.

Yeah, I've got this one too. The tendons relax and there's a war going on between my tight lower back muscles and the stretch my pelvis wants. That also started pretty early. Later than yours, but still on the early side. Again, I've been enjoying this feature for two-ish years now and my chiropractor regularly has to adjust my pelvis. It's especially bad if I walk a long distance like, oh, the hour of cardio I do every morning. ?

I may be more into self-destruction than I thought. My butt looks awesome though so... worth it.

Hugs!

As for the chest area being sore, it is understandable, no matter what our birth assigned sex, we were born with the actual mammary glands rolled up in a tight little ball, like the inside of a golf ball and those are starting to unpack themselves like one of the party noise makers that you blow on and it unwraps and shoots out, except that with the E, they are not going to roll back up and they are expanding in some nerve filled space and the nerves themselves are waking up and being grumpy about it.  I have a mild Lordosis (sway- back) so that part of my anatomy had already been immunized to those sensations, but there were times the HRT did become a pain in the butt for other reasons.  Have your doctor check out your sodium / potassium levels if the back pain gets too annoying.  Especially if you are on Spironolactone.

Yup, welcome to sore boobies. lol. Next up, nipples that become really sensitive;).  The back pain might just be more body awareness or T-blockers will start to reduce muscle mass so you will become weaker. However, you are used to using your muscles a certain way and will push them more so they can become sore as you learn to adapt to having less.  This becomes much more noticeable around 3-6 months. Exercise can help maintain them to a certain degree.  Muscle imbalance can lead to pelvic tilt but that takes a very long time to show up. (I'm a massage therapist/ instructor so see tilts regularly). All signs you are getting ready for some changes- congrats!

Congratulations!  Yes, sore/tingly boobs at four weeks is totally normal.  I started feeling mine at about three weeks.  I am still almost an A cup after four years, so any growth is good growth.  Wishing you many more tingles to come.

The pain is not so bad, or really uncomfortable. More or less a discomfort. Especially as I tend to sleep on my side/stomach.

I had mani/pedi today, and the ladies asked how everything is going. I told them I was sore, and they asked why. I told them them growing pains. They laughed, and said it will get worst, but they will end one day.

I have shared my doses and levels a lot and no one has said anything. Yeah I put alarms on my phone to make sure I don't miss a dose. I tend to forget a lot of stuff on what needs to be done. I have been also using the calendar on my phone a lot. I missed an appointment because I didn't put it in my calendar.

Feeling better than I did yesterday

It's official. My doctor wants me retested after the last results (too high). The test, that she scheduled, was likely too close to the dose. She did tell me to keep the increased dose instead of reverting to my old one, probably because my "too high" wasn't that high. I don't know what the forum's stance is on results, knowing full well the rules against sharing dosage, so I'll keep those under wraps until I know if it's OK to share those. Less to say, it was over the range she feels comfortable with by about 50%, but taken a day earlier than the midpoint value she was expecting. Grains of salt everywhere!   Of course I messed everything up too, missing my dose for the first time, yesterday. I had to re-reschedule the lab I setup yesterday to Monday from Saturday after taking my shot this morning to avoid the same issue with the testing. I woke up and thought, "Thursday, what do I have to do for work today? OH -crap-, IT'S THURSDAY! I missed my shot yesterday!"   Anyhoo. Question for the ladies: does anyone else get a mild zen-like high after their shots/doses? My brain feels lighter and I'm happier and I feel a lot more girlie this morning. 💃

I'm into my fourth month of HRT and just titrated up in dosage after my last checkup. This is my life. 🤭   I have yet to grow out of my B cup bras, but I have noticed more fullness, having started with gynecomastia. I am seeing less gapping in bras with my right breast, which has always been smaller than my left. My areolae are slightly pronounced/projected now, that are larger but not vastly greater in circumference, and I have noticed little to no nipple changes beyond their painful sensitivity.

-It's not a sprint it's an endurance.  -It won't happen overnight. -Seek a gender therapist. -You might lose a lot of support but hang in there. If they truly loved and cared about you they would stay. -Retail therapy helps and plus it builds your wardrobe and shoes. -Makeup is an artwork. It takes lots of practice to do it right and watch YouTube videos on how to put it on or someone who is knowledgeable. -You are going to have roller coaster emotions so don't rush anything.

You have grown more breast tissue than most some only get one size and that is it. I went from 42C to 42DD but I'm also taking supplements. It's risky to take the supplements but to me it's worth the risk.

I'd echo some of the advice in Imma Asher's letter in the book To My Trans Sisters:   Take your time.  See yourself. Be proud.  Be strong. Indulge in the transformation.  Read more.  Put down the brow pencil.  Live.  And be happy.

I hope that there is some kind of justice. It's very sad and it doesn't even mention the family and I could only imagine how they feel.
