Is being Tg make you gay?

Not that I know much about all of this,  it's my understanding that your sexuality and gender are two different things.  Some men may change their sexuality when they transition their gender to a woman, but not always.  Personally my sexuality preference has been for men, but I haven't started on HRT yet, so I guess I will see.  I hope I continue to be attracted to men, since  transitioning to a woman makes sense for me.

I used to laugh at the alphabet soup ... LGBTQABC....XYZ. Now it makes so much sense to me! Once you get over the squeamishness of exploring all the various combinations, it's actually really fascinating. When I look at people now, instead of a binary M/F decision, I look a little deeper and see other aspects of the person. Not that I mention it, but I do notice it. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it, but will definitely do some browsing on lgbta.wikia to learn more. I think it makes us so much more interesting when we can open up and be honest about these sort of things.

Hi Joannie, nice to meet you. I think it must be pretty rare that someone MtF who was attracted to men before transition suddenly is not attracted to men after. But I will say some dramatic and amazing things can happen to your sexuality. I haven't even started hormones yet, but just embracing my female side has been enough for me to realise I am totally attracted to men, even though I've been a hetero male all my life.

No law says you have to be gay if you are trans where would you come up with an idea like that?

If you are gay you would know it don't you think?

You like women so there is your answer so you aren't gay.

it' might be  that simple to you, but To me and few others here its not.

I not even sure if I  am human anymore much less gay, straight or bi.

I am just trying to fig out stuff. A lot of us are.

But as I said, I am happy you have it down.
