Hello. I am new to this

Hello I am new to this.  Not really I have been fantasizing for years but just today I bought my first pair of pantyhose. I love them. I also came out to an old high school girl friend and she has been really supportive. She wants to take me shopping.  I really don’t know anything but I know that I have felt different all of my life. I have played the part of manly man and pushed that on my four boys.  They all know how to cook though.

Everybody should know how to cook. Mostly because everybody needs to eat.

I'd drop a welcome in here, but you've already been out and about so I'll just remind you to post whatever you feel like sharing. Don't feel pressured and don't worry: We won't judge you. One of my oldest friends has been crossdressing since they were eight. You aren't alone.

Hugs!

Hi Octavia. That sounds like so much fun, I am envious. I envy you for discovering TransPulse so early in your journey too; it's really a great place to learn and ask questions.

I feel you about playing the manly man, especially with your boys. Until recently I had three stepsons and I now regret I disciplined them more with anger than with love.

Btw just so you know, crossdressing is addictive. Enjoy!

Hello @Octavia

I similarly have an old friend from university who wants to take me shopping for boots! ? Having such supportive friends or family is such a treasure and so affirming. Might you continue to find support and validation as you continue your journey.

Be careful with boots. I find trips to shoe stores disheartening because nobody around here carries anything in my size (at least not in the physical store). It's one of the few things that still sets my dysphoria off.

Though I did make a cis-woman friend who has the same shoe size. We're bonding over our enormous feet.

Ha ha, so relatable! Both my friend and I live in relatively small centres on just about opposite ends of the province (she lives about 9 hours away straight highway driving!) and we were discussing making a trip to one of the larger urban centres, likely Calgary. I presume that they'll have shoes in my size there. Meanwhile, I'm busy saving up my quarters. ?

PS. I've heard some girls lose a size or two while on HRT. Can anyone verify this?

I lost a half-size. Unfortunately, that still puts me at a women's 13.

Hugs!

I do feel for you all but thankfully I have small feet. When I have to go out and buy football cleats, basketball and wrestling shoes for my boys that is a totally different story.  My 13 year old wears a size 14. But all of my boys have big feet. They also all tower over me.

I so want boots. Knee high look so good. I have no idea about size. My work boots are size 8 Australian. So maybe 81/2 or nine American. That is men’s sizes what would that be in women. In my mind it should be the same but I really don’t know.

Right? Same here. I've always liked boots but I really want a nice cute pair. Did I always want that? If I'm honest with myself, that's a resounding "Yes!" Can't be leather for me though, those days are behind me.

My snow runners are a size 12 US, but my regular shoes are 10 1/2 - 11 US Men's depending on the manufacturer. So between 12 1/2 - 13 US Women's for a possible fit?

*sadness*

Hi Octavia, welcome. I’ve found that woman’s shoe sizes run about 2 sizes larger than men’s. My woman’s size is 11 compared to nine in men’s. My size in a Birkenstock is 42.

Transgender Pulse is a great place. I have learned many things from the kind ladies here and I’m sure you will as well. Enjoy.

Hugs

Sandra

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P
    • Abigail Genevieve
      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).

      I think I lost a friend :(

I will have arrived when I have a b*tch certificate of my own.  I think someone called me one once.

That’s fantastic Lorelei. I’m so happy for you.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
