Traveller RPG?

Traveller is an old-school pen and paper rpg.  It is much more hard science than most sci-fi settings and def more like the Expanse or Firefly in many ways.  I've been playing Traveller off and on since 1978, and it was my first rpg ahead of D&D.  Anyone else here a Traveller fan?

My friends and I spent many of our teenage years playing D&D, Gamma World, and yes Traveler. I enjoyed it a lot and it is a part of the fond memories that I have of those endless summers. Unfortunately RPGs and games quickly disappeared from my life when I was 18 and found myself a father. I greatly miss those days but I still carry the memories of those adventures as if I had lived them.

Once, as part of a group, i generated characters with Marc Miller (original designer of Traveller), While I was wearing skirt and heels

No lie.

I think two of my PCs died in generation.

Never played the game.

Very late to this party but I was excited to see the conversation... I never played Traveler but played lots of other RPGs.

 

But I did visit the GDW offices in Illinois in 1993, I had a friend who worked for them. Was fun to see, so much effort and chaos apparent everywhere, totally shattered my illusions about what a game company looked like on the inside.
