I'm glad I found this site!  What a wealth of expierience and information. I'm Tamsyn (Name picked by my eldest daughter on a Poll at school!)  My name became legal this week after three years of personal struggle admitting and accepting who I am.  Like so many on here, I hid my true feelings from a young age. Was bullied terribly as a child- obviously just queer! To prove I wasnt, married had children. Thought of myself as a "Shouldnt have been", a freak, disgusting.

Had that reoccuring thought about being a women... Bought clothes, threw away clothes... "Shudder, whats that about?" finally decided, with much councelling that it's something I can do and can achieve. I'm 40 and bald, but feel bloomin fantastic being the real me!

There's a lot of us here.  I spent years running from myself.

Tamsyn,

Love the name! That's so special your daughter helped pick it out. Tell me about throwing out the girl things thinking I wouldn't be who I really am.

So glad you're here!

Thanks for the welcomes!  Just reading other peoples stories, its amazing how similar we all are. All those years, all the times I thought "I cant talk about of that, its weird" and "I'm so alone.",  Well I guess there are likeminded people :D

Hi Tamsyn, pleased to meet you! It was such a relief to see other folk who had done the same things as I had for years! :)

Hi Tamsyn.  Indeed you are not alone.  just knowing that helped me.  We can support and understand each other as few are able to do.  Glad you've joined us.  As another bald person i've grown to enjoy my wigs.  Kinda like wearing a hat and warts and cosy in the winter.  Your picture is lovely without one!  Enjoy.

Hugs,

Charlize

I do love a nice hat :)  My counsellor was initially excited by my choice of wig options, but to be honest, I hate the feeling. When I first admitted that I wanted to be / was a woman. I felt like a fraud. And a wig kinda added to that fakeness. I decided to see if I could feminise what I had. Sadly with the Covid causing lockdown in the UK there is nowehere to get laser hair removal for my smooth look. My last session was January last year and its traumatising! I have to shave every day, head and face then apply thick foundation to hide my beard and bald spot. But I can hide it for a good 8hrs now, but it all gets so very sore :(

Well yesterday didn't work like I wanted to. I met a guy and started talking and he was wanting to be in a relationship. I asked my kids on how they thought of me dating a man and they said gross and said no. I guess it's time to look for women. I think that is going to be harder. Oh well I guess.

This topic reminds me of the lyrics to the Beatles song, "A Little Help From My Friends."   "What do you see when you turn out the lights?"   "I can't tell you but I know it's mine."   Carolyn Marie

@Ivy have you read the actual document?   Has anyone else out there read it?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am reading the Project 2025 document https://www.project2025.org/policy/   This will take some time.  I read the forward and I want to read it again later.   I read some criticism of it outside here and I will be looking for it in the light of what has been posted here and there.  Some of the criticism is bosh.   @MaeBe have you read the actual document?

      *older, not holder, oops :P

      No problem!

Old topic, but I gotta say my favorites are: "Stop hitting on minors" (doesn't work if you're holder tho) and "Sure as [squid] not you"

Abigail, I think we will just leave the other posts where they are, and the discussion can start anew here.  It is possible to do what you ask, but would disrupt the flow of the discussion in the other thread, and would require more work than it's worth.   Carolyn Marie

I am in too good a mood to earn my certificate today. I am sure something will happen that will put me on the path to earning it.

It's likely most cis-women consider a fitting unnecessary "because they know what  they wear" and get used to the wrong size.  The instructions for what your size is are simple and why go to any further effort?  You measure your bandsize and you measure your max and subtract the two to get the needed info for the cup size.  Then you buy the same size for years until it hurts or something.

Congratulations Lorelei! Yes, it is a powerful feeling to have the documents that say "you are you".

Here is space for discussion on this, since the topic is large and could derail another thread SOMEBODY started.   Could some dear, sweet, kind Moderator pull everything related to this from the Voting for Trump thread and put it here?  I don't know if you can do that; I am the new girl on the block after all (blinks sweetly).
